It looks you started to talk some more, good. Don‘t feel too much pressure and you‘ll find it even easier to RP your char.
If you still find it difficult to interpret a ranger, find one or two things you can concentrate on that are special about rangers (animal empathy, tracking, scouting outdoors). Feel free to RP those things, i.e. you don‘t need to actually see footprints on the game screen, just state you are looking for them.
