Comments in reference to the character Styrke Yord a Earth Genasi: Nice RP following your resurrection, thought the confusion and unsteadiness was a nice touch to what is usually a straight forward scenario.

Nice rp when trying to buy the guantlets from the merchant. Just sorry I missed it until I read the log. I like how you portray this character. Excellant job as usual.

Comments in reference to the character Styrke Yord a Earth Genasi: Styrke spent most of the game off by his lonesome but kept close enough to have some interaction with the group. It seems like he really wants to join us but is reluctant, poor guy is just shy I think :P Well it is of no consequence now since Waytte established a contract with him as a slav- err, bodyguard.

Comments in reference to the character Rylet Nordihmmyr a Deep Halfling: I don‘t do much in the way of reviewing these days given the currently sparse NWNConnections population (I figure anybody left hanging around here is probably worth playing a game with). Also, I am leaving the same comment for everybody, so don‘t be offended if you notice. It is not often that you can get 6 players together whose play styles mesh together quite so well as ours apparently do. Each player obviously digs the rp aspect of the game, but without dominating the group conversation with their individual story. Sure we have conversation pile-ups where folks are not sure who is talking to who and some lines of rp are left to spin in the wind because of a missed line of dialogue, but that will work itself out as we get more comfortable with each other. Sure our party is ranger heavy, bard heavy, snarky character heavy, womanizer heavy... but hey, birds of a feather flock together and who needs a spellcaster anyway? Well, I guess what I am trying to get across here is that I look forward to keeping this campaign going with each of these players, both my longtime friends and new compatriots, and getting to know their characters better over the course of our adventures.

Comments in reference to the character Styrke Yord a Earth Genasi: About as untrusting a person as you could expect, understandable considering his race but in the planes that‘s a fairly common thing. I am curious to find out how he ended up in Sigil however.

As Ish and Tanaris Walked thru Esirup a Blackguard started walking toward the two.Without a thought Tanaris lashed out a Spell from Clangeddin Silverbeards godly Powers and Killed the BlackGuard. Something in her felt as if someone saw her kill and a cold feeling came over her...murder ran thru her mind. Tanaris herself cast the first blow. Standing there Beside himself,Ish did not know what to do so he cast a spell along with Tanaris and toghter the war with Marshal Cormak Hetti and his Hoard of Blackguard in the Blacktooth Ridge had begun.

Finding Tanaris, and telling her of the encounter with the Witchers of the caves under Esirup, they decide to find the Mages guild, only to find out from the potions Master they up and left in the night. Rumor‘s that they moved behind the Great walls of Gudation, Ish weaved a spell and transported the group into the Fire mountains but realizing he had forgotten Eowyn he returned them to Esirup.

05/25/07
Comments in reference to the character Brother Manos a Human: Brother Manos has found a path which draws him away from his early training towards a different calling. This character impresses me in that he is being shaped by the circumstance of the adventure. You have fought off the thing that compels players to shape their PC‘s based on preconception. You have allowed your character to grow with his experiences as people do in real life. Basic but somehow revolutionary, IMO.
05/23/07
Comments in reference to the character Grimble Gromble a Halfling: Everything was going fairly well until we hit that waterfall. We seem to be getting some momentum now.
05/20/07
Comments in reference to the character Ish a Wood Elf: What will Ish do if he cannot find the Blackleaf elves?
05/20/07
Comments in reference to the character Ish a Wood Elf: Following Tanaris, Ish keeps looking for memorys within the land of the long forgotten elves of his past. Searching and hearing voices in his head...“Seacenne‘La Iractyam“ and the eyes within Oblivion burned into this mind. The Armidlite Flows....Magic Grows and it seems a Battle of Epic size is about to happen between the Elves of the Blackleaf forest and the Blackrose elves from their underworld
05/17/07
Comments in reference to the character Brother Manos a Human: Manos seems to be a monk gone awry. I think he has been infected by the tree-huggers. Another interesting character from the mind of Schmelkus.
05/15/07
Comments in reference to the character Grimble Gromble a Halfling: With the kind of tasks we get, the Gromble is usually MVP.
05/12/07
Comments in reference to the character Ish a Wood Elf: “Seacenne‘La Iractyam“ the name comes to thee and the thought... WHERE HAVE ALL THE GOOD GONE in the Blackleaf ...?

Comments in reference to the character Grimble Gromble a Halfling: We really made some time this session. Those muggers didn‘t know what they were getting themselves into when they tried to make a “mark“ out of the Gromble.

Comments in reference to the character Brother Manos a Human: Fun session although I think we‘ve pretty much finished this mod. What‘s next.
04/30/07
Comments in reference to the character Grimble Gromble a Halfling: The Gromble has twice stones of the average man wrapped up in 1/2 the size. Another strong willed character; he makes me think of a smaller, more vulgar Zig. Great Rp‘ing as usual.

Comments in reference to the character Holdoerth Enthabalenz a Dwarf: Tanner is beginning to share Mua‘dib‘s aversion to elves with a little help from the our snobbish henchie. Apparently he doesn‘t care to have people sneaking up on him or being surrounded. It will be interesting to see how he chooses to participate in the elves‘ thoroughly planned assault on the orc‘s fortifications.

[Schmelkus's reply to comment: Yeah, not sure how I feel he'll react to either wing of that plan. We shall see.

Comments in reference to the character Holdoerth Enthabalenz a Dwarf: Explaining your character‘s increase of skills as recovering lost knowledge fits well, given his advanced age, and is totally believable. Good RP‘g.

Comments in reference to the character Zig Freedenroy a Half-Elf: Even with the reloads, the fianl session was a good one... a pleasure to be rid of all that excess loot!

Comments in reference to the character Holdoerth Enthabalenz a Dwarf: These planB sessions are pretty fun even when the module is somewhat disappointing. Our small(er) group of characters works very well together. Sorry for smiting you, by the way...
11/15/06
Comments in reference to the character Holdoerth Enthabalenz a Dwarf: These sessions are good fun. I enjoy playing these characters at least as much as our original cast. The Lizard King is a formidibal foe. I am afraid we may need to seek help in Eor. (It may be that is what is expected... to report back to our benefactor.)

[Schmelkus's reply to comment: Good point, we may need the help.

Comments in reference to the character Zig Freedenroy a Half-Elf: A great night for sure. Zig is really coming into his own power-wise, yet he always seems hungry for more. Once again you get BIG for reminding me that we are about rp and suspension of disbelief, rather than just beating and/or picking apart the module.
11/13/06
Comments in reference to the character Zig Freedenroy a Half-Elf: Zig‘s reason‘s for being angry about the broken mirror made me shoot my drink out of my nose. Thanks for the wet keyboard.
11/09/06
Comments in reference to the character Holdoerth Enthabalenz a Dwarf: The way you explained your new skills (presumably from leveling up) was well played. It looks like we are getting close to finding the Lizard King. Could be trouble.

[Schmelkus's reply to comment: thanks, actually leveled long ago, on the verge of another, just never had revealed until last session that I acquired spell usage. Seemed a good time. Yes, trouble ahead.

]

11/07/06
Comments in reference to the character Zig Freedenroy a Half-Elf: Nice that this campaign is moving again. Our group works together as well as any group could and Zig adds the flavor of irrational action (in terms of game, not thought process) to keep things interesting.
11/06/06
Comments in reference to the character Zig Freedenroy a Half-Elf: It was interesting to watch Zig convince Peg to take the gaseous form potion to get the loot. I wonder if it was because he was nervous about taking it himself, being unsure of its effects and duration, or if he was aware that Peg was better suited for the tasks at hand on the other side.

[Schmelkus's reply to comment: Both, but mostly two other reasons... one, he is not strong and is already overloaded with accouterments and equipment... and two, it could have been DANGEROUS in there!

Comments in reference to the character Holdoerth Enthabalenz a Dwarf: With the different fighting styles of the 3 party members, some strategy needs to be devised to keep Sir Vic from taking the brunt of the enemies blows by diverting attention to bow wielding elf and dwarf.

Comments in reference to the character Zig Freedenroy a Half-Elf: Zig was totally in character this session. Zig‘s experiment to see how agitated he could get a grumpy dwarf was a success.

Comments in reference to the character Zig Freedenroy a Half-Elf: Good role play as usual. That was a heinous ambush, too bad about the Rod. I guess it was made available to keep the likes of Kalen on his feet and not our party. Another annoying quirk to an otherwise fun module.

[Schmelkus's reply to comment: yep, irritating that the rod didn't work properly, we spent all our coin on it. Oh well.

Comments in reference to the character Ish a Wood Elf: Finding the way out of LIMBO is gonna be hard but Ish remembers how to get there and one day hopes to return to see if there is a Cosmic Bubble to Pandemonium, His home.....Yes Ish we will Look for one ,yes we will.

Comments in reference to the character Zig Freedenroy a Half-Elf: It was fun to watch Zig dodging arrows while being chased through the courtyard by a carnivorous ape. Comments in reference to the character Zig Freedenroy a Half-Elf: It‘s too bad we did not get to see your plan with the Ankheg through to it‘s end... I think I know what you were thinking and it is pure inspired genius. Had I known, I would have held my fire. Fun game nontheless... though the mod is a little more hack and slash than I expected.

Comments in reference to the character Zig Freedenroy a Half-Elf: Nice to get our roll back in this session. Zig‘s was noticibly disgusted with the way we entered the guardhouse. As he fumbled with his paper collection, the dwarves broke down the door. I wonder if his irritation is because we didn‘t give him time to find the necessary information or that the dwarves seem more inclined to follow Peg‘s lead.

[Schmelkus's reply to comment: Which was rather humorous, since Zig was only acting on suggestion from the Dwarven Priest himself.

Comments in reference to the character Zig Freedenroy a Half-Elf: Zig‘s leadership ability surfaced this session to lead our assault on the temple walls. Well done. Too bad there are no “Day-Timers“ in the World of Greyhawk.

Comments in reference to the character Zig Freedenroy a Half-Elf: It is hard to discern Zig‘s intentions in this session. At one moment it almost seems like he actually empathizes with the greiving priest when his friend is killed. Then after he uses a very expensive scroll to bring her back, he immediately begins to play the “you owe me“ card. After all his complaining and taunts about Elwita it brings into question if he had planned this from the moment he purchased the scroll. At last he derides Horton for his inability to raise her and then calls out the priests faith. Zig‘s chaotic nature shows it‘s cruel (if not evil) side.

[Schmelkus's reply to comment: Planned? No. Convenient to exerting himself as the leader of the group in his eyes? Yes. Evil? Hardly. Selfish? Yes. Chaotic? Definitely.

Comments in reference to the character Zig Freedenroy a Half-Elf: A fun, if somewhat frustrating, night. I think Zig had an idea that we were getting somewhat sidetracked from our main goal-- revenge on the slavers, er, I mean, rescuing Dame Gold. But I think Horton‘s overriding hatred for orcs took hold of the mission.

Comments in reference to the character Zig Freedenroy a Half-Elf: Zig‘s impatience with the priest and his newfound follower is running thin. This was exacerbated when she attacked him (damned A un-I) thinking that he had cast a bellicose spell on her spiritual leader. Tensions are on the rise between Zig and the cleric. He seems to revel in this and antagonizes the situation with numerous verbal jabs aimed at Elwita.

[Schmelkus's reply to comment: Running thin with who? That beardly little hammerwielder needs to learn who is running this show. If you can't keep your pet on a leash, don't blame me when I have to teach her the lesson of a lifetime. Lest you forget, we are in this because of your overzealous ways, Priest, and I'm not taking kindly to aggression from one of your dwarven hirelings.

We were “working it“ right up til the end there. I‘m glad it was the blue mirror and not the red one. Assuming red would lead to a room of fire, being submerged doesn‘t seem so bad. It‘s good to have our ancient tribal tomb of nasty traps aired out and ready for exploring. It‘s hard to decipher runes and understand ancient and archaic discoveries with lungs full of toxic fumes. Comments in reference to the character Zig Freedenroy a Half-Elf: Gotta get those weeds straight. One lets you breath underwater and the other one kills you submerged or otherwise. Good game. I saw a different side to Zig this session when he tried to console the dwarf who was distraught by the sight of his butchered kinsman.

Comments in reference to the character Zig Freedenroy a Half-Elf: The songs need a little work, but not bad for spur of the moment. Too bad we couldnt take out the dragon, now there would be an act worthy of song. As a consolation, just the fact that we tried to kill it should carry some weight.

Comments in reference to the character Zig Freedenroy a Half-Elf: Nice work with the riddles. I think Zig has actually earned his bragging rights this time. It must have been really hard relinquishing that ring when it was already so close to your finger.

[Schmelkus's reply to comment: It was, I have many rings in my posession, and if it weren't a matter of potential survival, he might have pulled the switcheroo, I don't know. He does know what's best, even if he is a bit... erratic.

Comments in reference to the character Anita “Bee“ Befreid a Halfling: (Add Comments Here)Last night was one of the funnest NWN sessions I have been part of ever. Partly it is because the mod has really “opened up“ but mostly it is because of the great players we have have in this group. Thanks!

Comments in reference to the character Anita “Bee“ Befreid a Halfling: Bee‘s attitude regarding the demon is interesting. When she said, “I want to get out of here but I don‘t want to help a demon to do it“, one must wonder if it is because she is repulsed by its evil nature or she is simply afraid of it.

[Schmelkus's reply to comment: She doesn't trust it, AND is afraid but doesn't want that part to show. Also, I find it hard to believe you scored me for being interested in MOSTLY combat or action...it's OK I guess. I mean, she's a monk, she engages, but the majority of my nights by far are spent building character and personality.... oh well, to each his own.

02/16/05
I just found out that “Bee“ is a monk from looking at the gamepage. All this time I thought she was a rogue. Her affinity for all things sparkly and worldly things validate this perception.

[Schmelkus's reply to comment: She has displayed no affinity for rogue skills, and has wielded shurikens and kama... . Though she is trained in martial arts, her demeanor is not that of one raised on a monastery. she's had to look out for herself, and martial arts are the way she has found she can offset the disadvantage of her small stature. I knew by people's questions that no one was sure of her class... but that's part of the fun eh?

Comments in reference to the character Aron P‘rezli a Golden Elf: Well, your woman still has her style, and a bit of spirit left. . . . and yet no good can come now, of her choices. You should steel yourself against more tears. For myself, I‘ve wept for the last time . . .

Comments in reference to the character Aron P‘rezli a Golden Elf: The character has seemed to become very wishy-washy of late. He has become a scared rabbit in hiding, and seems overly ready to hide then face a situation to the end to find out where it will take him. I hope he returns to his more noble if stuck up nature.

[Schmelkus's reply to comment: perhaps when some of his current traumas subside he will regain faith in his purpose and the focus that can accompany it.

Comments in reference to the character Aron P‘rezli a Golden Elf: So we see now what passes for law here, how interesting. Much more even handed than I might have expected. As to your imrisoned kin, listen: You can do nothing for them, they are dead already. Forget them. regret is useless, as is pineing after that which is beyond your means.

Comments in reference to the character Bam Thwok a Human: (Add Comments Here)One of the things I really like about how you play this character is that, while Bam is obviously not very smart, he still possesses the cunning of a warrior, thus deftly avoiding a pitfall of playing a “dumb“ character into which many other players fall.

Comments in reference to the character Aron P‘rezli a Golden Elf: Although Galia took special notice of Aron on a few occasions, she never did gain any real insight into what drives this enigmatic persona. His involvement into the matter of the imprisoned and death-sentenced golden elf is obvious and it is honestly a matter that upsets Galia greatly as well, although she currently sees no way to constructively intervene. I‘m hoping for another meeting between the two again soon, it would likely shed some more light on what else these two have in common.

[Schmelkus's reply to comment: I must say, that posting a blank review seems very unnecessary and self serving. I mean really, why do a review with no stats and no comments? Is it to get points in a system where you consistently refuse to participate? I understand not wanting or caring to participate, but... I don't get this. That is my opinion. Perhaps I am overlooking some lofty purpose here, but I don't see it.

for Aron P‘rezli, a Golden Elf: -- You tried and tried to get arrows for the elf and the attempt to get into the tower for a more advantageous attack position was commendable.
