Reviews To Date for hijima
10/09/04
The disagreements between Beth and Vash were a lot of fun. I think Beth is emerging as the team‘s leader. Having played with you before, Hijima, I‘m interested to see how you‘ll handle that role.

Comments in reference to the character Beth Elham a human: Looking forward to more adventures and learning more about this character.

Comments in reference to the character Gabnanin a Half elf: Gab was a very chaotic character and consistently so, which to my character provided no end of aggravation, but that‘s what makes RP so great. Had a lot of fun with Gabnanin and with Moondrake‘s Pharaoh mod. Looking forward to more.

You handled Gabnanin really well tonight. I especially liked that while you still sometimes strike out in a random direction, you didn‘t keep running really far away from the party & make us go look for you. Good balance of roleplaying a chaotic character but also being a good cooperative player.

Comments in reference to the character Gabnanin a Half elf: continuing good RP, The chaotic nature of the char plays a very large role in the way the game is played. This is not bad, but it does significantly affect the other players and the direction of the game.
09/12/04
Gabnanin‘s constant running off was a royal pain in the butt--we were always chasing after him. Normally in a team session that behavior might be a bad thing, but in this case it‘s in character and provided leadership in a strange sort of way--we had to keep moving to figure out what he‘d gotten into. Gab is an outlandish character that I “love to hate.“ Just watch out you don‘t get yourself killed while you‘re running off alone without your team‘s support.

Comments in reference to the character Gabnanin a Half elf: (Add Comments Here) Gabnanin continues to be an action oriented catalyst for progression in the adventure. His RP‘d insanity is great and often brings a good laugh to the sessions.

Comments in reference to the character Gabnanin a Half elf: Gab is a chaotic character that is hard to put into any normal context, in ANY sense of the word. That‘s a good thing because he brings a level of uncertainty to the game and makes it unpredictable and interesting. Definately will play with him again.

Comments in reference to the character Gabnanin a Half elf: Gab is a good character and creates his own space within the group. Definitely makes himself known, and that‘s the reason for the BIG. Even though my character is supremely irritated with his uncontrolled behavior, it is this that makes the RP real, that Gab gets such a reaction out of the other players.

Comments in reference to the character Gabnanin a Half elf: Another good performance from Gabnanin. This week he was stuck in the party leader position as our Wizard was recovering from wounds. Nice job both in RP and combat.

Comments in reference to the character Gabnanin a Half elf: (Add Comments Here) Good work as ever. If you want to make an insight as a crazy character, try doing it with a crazy vision, rhyming song, some sort of skewed reason that might not be obvious. Be chaotic, but able to see things you wouldn‘t with a sane mind. That or break into the occasional moment of sober lucidity, then bust right back into the old song and dance.

Comments in reference to the character Gabnanin a Half elf: (Add Comments Here) Gabnanin is a great fighter and his often off-the-wall comments are excellent fodder for RP. I was LMAO when the party approached a fork in the path and were deciding which way to go...Gabnanin promptly threw his 2-bladed sword in the air and when it landed announced, “It points in both directions! Either way will lead us to our destination!“ He‘s doing a great job with his own brand of eccentric, sun-baked logic. Keep up the good play!
08/14/04
Gabnanin and Henry continue to make things interesting for our little party. Keep up the great play!
08/08/04
Meeting Gabnanin in the desert was a lot of fun. You played the sunstroked, crazed character very well. Really looking forward to next game.

Comments in reference to the character Noin Nussbaum a Human: Noin was unavoidably detained - maybe next game.

Comments in reference to the character Noin Nussbaum a Human: Noin is a wild character, in more ways than one. I find her approach to druidry fascinating, because it‘s a side I‘ve never tried to portray. One of these days, you‘ll have to tell me where to adjust her alignment... though I have an idea. Good game, keep up the enigmatic violence!
04/29/04
You seemed to be a bit less involved this session--less initiative and ideas than your usual. It was an off night for all of us though, I think.
04/28/04
Awesome stuff Hij...was a lot of fun being “stuck“ together for a while
04/16/04
Comments in reference to the character Noin Nussbaum a Human: Noin was amazing in this game, using her newly aquired druidic shapechange abilities to excellent effect. Good game!
04/16/04
Comments in reference to the character Noin Nussbaum a Human: (Add Comments Here) I always enjoy Noin‘s personality. Great roleplaying, it really adds to the atmosphere of the game - the animal transformation - the scimitar aggression - the placable interaction. Kudos.
04/15/04
Good to see you use your wild shapes! I sometimes thought you forgot about them ;) Using wolf form to hunt the flayer down was brilliant!
04/14/04
Noin was outstanding tonight. Becoming a wolf for tracking was a great move, good use of the druid‘s abilities. Lots of quick thinking and funny lines this game too--you were really at your sharpest this session. Looking forward to more next week.
04/09/04
Awesome job this week Hij. I could have just ignored the plot and played the sword storyline all night ;)
04/08/04
Comments in reference to the character Noin Nussbaum a Human: I hesitated, but I have to award best player to Noin this week. Although her constant departures risked breaking the group several times, it was appropriate to circumstances, and it did generate a lot of good RP on all the players‘ parts. And in the end, faced with the groups indecision, Noin‘s actions did allow the group to finally become catalyzed and act. Good game!

04/08/04
Noin had to have yet another tug in personality due to a curse and I enjoyed the way she handled that. A good session
04/07/04
Noin seemed especially bloodthirsty, impatient, and angry tonight. I got the feeling you were roleplaying the effect of using an evil sword--if that‘s what you were going for, well-played!
04/01/04
Comments in reference to the character Noin Nussbaum a Human: Noin was good in her role as druid, but at several points in the game almost seemed reluctant - was it just me, misinterpreting signals, or would Noin have been happier as a fighter? Unless the sudden and rather odd interactions with Kel were sitting wrong. Looked to me like Noin was pretty well fixed in the center of the action. Good game.
04/01/04
Noin continues to be a well played character, although the party splitting up all the time is starting to cost us a bit. Look forward to next week!
04/01/04
Noin‘s caring for Kell was well played. A good session all round. Good on you.

Noin is very well played, although conversations can be tough to follow when the char is not present but still talking. Excellent session and look forward to next week.
03/26/04
Comments in reference to the character Noin Nussbaum a Human: Noin was great in her conflict with Kel, but I was worried at several points that the party was being split up. In fact I still don‘t really know what actions Noin may have taken while split from the main party. This said, the conflict with Kel was excellent, great roleplay and productive for the group.
03/25/04
I really think this session was Noin‘s moment and she made everything of it. I was ever so pleased to watch Noin this session.
03/25/04
Comments in reference to the character Noin Nussbaum a Human: WOW Noin that was a great performance. You are able to consistanly roleplay this character so well she has become one of the most lifelike and real personalities that I have seen in a roleplaying game. Bravo.

Comments in reference to the character Noin Nussbaum a Human: Noin seemed more and more like a character with her own agenda. This is good - the more powerful she becomes in the ways of the druid, the more confirmed in her beliefs she should be. Great game!
03/18/04
I enjoyed watching Noin be herself, it was well done.
03/18/04
I really enjoyed Noin tonight. She provided lots of good, common sense ideas--like I‘d expect from a high Wis char. I suspect that amulet she got is something special that will come with some responsibilities and challenges. I look forward to seeing how she handles this.

Noin was excellent tonight, very well RP‘ed, a pleasure to play with, cant wait for next week
03/11/04
Comments in reference to the character Noin Nussbaum a Human: Noin always makes me laugh, which is a good sign. Clever repartee and constant roleplaying enhance the session for everyone. good show!
03/11/04
Comments in reference to Noin: I thought this was a good session all around, and everyone played well. Noin did a great job helping as a frontline fighter in addition to healing. Previously you‘ve commented that you/Noin feel ignored... I hope that wasn‘t the case tonight.
03/11/04
Believable character, with some good ideas.
03/11/04
Comments in reference to the character Noin Nussbaum a Human: Noin is great fun to have in the party. Well roleplayed and always interesting. Sometimes wanders off at a bad time, but in the case of this character it useually seems appropriate. I look forward to playing with Noin again.
02/27/04
Comments in reference to the character Noin Nussbaum a Human: (Add Comments Here) I always look forward to Noin‘s quirks. She has a very distinct personality and the way she is roleplayed makes her a very interesting character to watch. I wish I could have witnessed everything involved in her capture. Keep up the good work! I am interested to see how her personality develops given her ever-changing environment.
02/26/04
I did not have the chance to see a great deal of Noin but what I did see was pleasing. Be a pleasure to see the next session.
02/26/04
Comments in reference to the character Noin Nussbaum a Human: Noin was great when I suddenly discovered that she‘s slipped past the guards into the castle. Thanks for your patience while you were locked up. The guards seem to have their eyes on more than just a potential criminal...
02/26/04
Comments in reference to Noin: I get the feeling you were trying to play Noin in comical fashion. Normally, I‘d expect druids to have high wisdom and therefore approach situations with common sense, which you did not seem to be doing. I have a hard time accepting Noin as a comic character.

[hijima's reply to comment: Much agreed, she isn't good as comic. Though she was only comic in the beginning and that was really only to get a DM's attention. Next time i'll just be looked over as always.

Comments in reference to the character Noin Nussbaum a Human: Noin sometimes gets us into trouble with her wandering, but it is always done “in character“ and well roleplayed, not just racing around haphazardly. Noin is a very fun and well played character.

Comments in reference to the character Noin Nussbaum a Human: (Add Comments Here) Noin is fun to play with, great role-playing idiosyncrasies. Great to have around with the healing and the big ol‘ bear!

Comments in reference to the character Noin Nussbaum a Human: Noin was a clever and ideosyncratic character, with a unique roleplaying position, but also an effective part of the team. I‘d love to see her become even more eccentric, but that‘s your call.

Noin Nussbaum: Really enjoyed your druid tonight. Good game. Just watch getting in the front line in combat--you seemed to go down a lot.

Comments in reference to the character Noin Nussbaum a Human: (Add Comments Here) Good time playing with you. I liked Noin‘s personality - a bit of flavor - judgemental - quick to act - doesn‘t try to please anyone - yet worked well with the group. Nice roleplaying with the waterfall, etc.
01/22/04
Noin Nussbaum: With no big fighter in the group for this game, Noin‘s bear companion was super helpful & you used it very well. Also you did great with watching our hit points and healing us. Good game.
01/22/04
Comments in reference to the character Noin Nussbaum a Human: Noin was a good part of the group. Druids have many skills, so it is easy to fill many roles - fighter, archer, etc. The hard part IMO is to create your own brand of druidic specificity. Especially hard since this mod has no special scripting for animals, they tend to just be hostile and spawn in and attack. But the group could really benefit from a druidic angle. See what you can cook up.

Comments on Gan Ning: You do a good job supporting the team in the fighter role & work well with the group. I hope to get to know your char better and would like to see you speak up more.
01/16/04
Comments in reference to the character Gan Ning a Human: Noin Nussbaum was a great addition to the team, though I didn‘t realize for a while that Noin was... a woman! lol! If she‘s a druid, does that mean she does fertility rites?

Comments in reference to the character Gan Ning a Human: Gan had a good first session, it‘s always tough joining a group when you are one or two levels lower than everyone else, and hence vulnerable. Good game.

Comments in reference to Gan Ning: I had no idea Gan was a monk I came here to review. Did not really look or act the part in my view--assumed he was a straight fighter. Gan was a welcome addition to the group, providing much-needed frontline combat support. It was a pleasure meeting him and I look forward to teaming with him again.
