Comments in reference to the character Judd a Human: This was a very personal mission for Judd as he obviously had a deep seated hatred of Werewolves. His determination to hunt down the killer really helped the group. He took on the role of leader and kept the party organised and focused on the task.

Comments in reference to the character Andric de Lyonsfar a Human: Ahhh, Andric. The one character I love to hate. :P He‘s so stuffy and pompous, but a good hand in a fight and the unquestioned (kind of) leader of the group. He believes he‘s much better than his actions show, and frankly, his morals tend to get in the way, but at the same time I couldn‘t imagine the game without him! I think the character is great fun to game with, and I can‘t imagine what a session would be like without getting a few good barbs in. It was a tough call, but I think you get my cumulative BIG for all the reviews that haven‘t been done! ;)

Comments in reference to the character Brok a Dwarf: The clerical side of Brok is perhaps underplayed, but nevertheless good RPing all round.
[StarStuff's reply to comment: Not everyone's idea of playing a cleric is in-your-face convert-or-die. Brok is a reserved character, and a dwarf to boot - why should he be talking about his private beliefs to a bunch of non-dwarven strangers? Wait and see as the sessions go by, and pay attention to some of the more subtle aspects of the roleplay, and maybe you'll see what I mean. As for the mechanical aspects of the game - well I did warn you all that I'd never played a cleric before and would probably suck at it! :P ]

Brok a Dwarf: Brok dragged his feet after himself a few times. It appears the fast battle eager party members will need to slow down, at least if they require medical care. Brok is a friendly dwarf and with traditional dwarven temper and with the heart in the right place. Good play :)
[StarStuff's reply to comment: Yeah, last night was a bad night for me, there was a lot of RL stuff causing too many AFK's. :( Sorry about that. And boy do I need practice at playing a spellcaster! lol Hopefully things will improve as time goes by. :) ]

lol. 3 months in and i STILL think laurelin is a sweetie! :) and as a player, among some with not as much as experience, Star does a great job of prompting them IC about more technical aspects of the game. Comments in reference to the character Keris Fensmoor a Human: (Add Comments Here): Star playing Keris is mesmerising - the way that she handles this character who is coping with the difficulties of the setting and some troublesome companions AS well as her own unpredictable ‘fiery‘ nature is a joy to watch. On the surface she seems harmless but as others have seen, she may be the most dangerous of them all - Star continues to keep us all guessing what really lies beneath - thank you! -Silv

Comments in reference to the character Laurelin a Half-elf: What a great character! You portray Laurelin‘s character vividly and consistantly, and her wry social commentry is as funny as it is relevant. But the one thing I can‘t understand - why-oh-why did she choose JAY over all the rest of us!? lol What I love most about Laurelin, though, is that while she acts quite the peace-maker, she is, in fact, the cause of all the tension between the rest of the party, either knowingly or unknowingly! I guess that‘s the price for being a hot young half-elf trapped in a haunted house with a load of guys! hehehe
Although you‘ll be DMing soon, am I right in thinking we still have a couple of games with Laurelin? - I sure hope so - she‘ll be greatly missed when she‘s gone :)
[StarStuff's reply to comment: rofl! Her secret is out! Heh but who said anything about having "chosen" Jay? That would imply some sort of permanence to the relationship, and Laurelin is after all a very young half-elf, raised by freedom-loving elves... ;) But yeah, she is such good fun to play, I can't drop her totally; she will, in good movie tradition, be back. :D ]

Comments in reference to the character Laurelin a Half-elf: Such a sweetie! Bless her little heart. Laurelin is, as ever, a pleasure to party with - this session, we learned a little more about her background and the way she feels about her heritage. The appearance of Raphael raised some interesting questions about how she REALLY feels about elves, also. Laurelin is played very consistently and is a lot of fun to be in a party with, even if she doesn‘t like dark and scary places :)

Comments in reference to the character Keris Fensmoor a Human: Of all the places to have one of your “explosive“ fits you chose the solarium. That will make you a friend of the treant for sure! The conflict between Keris and Dusk continues. I think their relationship jeopardizes the group and their escape. Keris will eventually have to chose between Dusk and the group. Whether she joins Dusk as an ally or opposes him, I think both will result in disaster for the group as a whole. Only by coming to terms with her relationship with Dusk will Keris be able to address her inner demons.

Comments in reference to the character Jarek Morvenson a Human: (Add Comments Here) The rp of jarek‘s concerns for tomarian were excellent, as were his interactions with Millard and everyone else in the party. Jarek, despite his on-going concerns, seemed much more relaxed and focused this session as we reached the ultimate goal of the adventure.. a time when we needed his focus the most. Jarek will probably always be a character that needs a certain amount of “angst“ in his life to keep him driven, but he‘s a lot more fun to be around when he‘s comfortable knowing he‘s among friends! ;)
It‘s a shame it would take so much time to RP what happens while the party relaxes and takes their R & R before the next adventure, because i have no doubt the bond between Millard and Jarek would grow stronger, and the interactions with the entire party under such relaxing circumstances would be highly entertaining! :) This was the most fun i‘ve had in a session for quite a while, and i‘m SO glad Millard refused to let Jarek die a few weeks back! :)

Comments in reference to the character Laurelin a Half-elf: (Add Comments Here) What a flirt! Sorry, had to get that out of the way. But your concept of spell casting was quite original, as your character seemed to be very new at it, which is more believable for a lvl 1 character then a mage lvl 1 who is immediately an expert. Comments in reference to the character Keris Fensmoor a Human: (Add Comments Here) Keris and Mister Dusk have begun to get...violent again. Dusk‘s patience seems to be growing ever more thin, as well as Keris‘ control over her raging inner abilities. A slap and burst of flame later, we‘ve at least taken the Blue Knife test...

Comments in reference to the character Keris Fensmoor a Human: Though Keris seems generally good natured and seems to authentically feel the need to escape this place with her companions, it seems she‘s having a hard time deciding who is trustworthy (and I‘m not sure if she actually trusts Dusk or follows him because she sees he can be helpful), while the group too is suspicious of her and especially he magics - perhaps even frightful. She is a very interesting character and it‘s great to watch her coming to terms with all the strange happenings in the asylum, such as Anton and the Faceless Lady, to trying to figure out if those undead spoke the truth. Great development I‘m seeing even in so little time. I look forward to see what happens next!

Comments in reference to the character Keris Fensmoor a Human: In past sessions, I use to get frustrated with Keris‘ quiet attitude and her refusal to get involved in some situations. Only with this last session did I realize with your use of tells and whispers how masterfully you are roleplaying this character. It is a quiet and subtle way of roleplaying diametrically opposed to the roleplay style of say, Dusk‘s character. I think many may overlook the difficulty in continuing to roleply in this manner session after session. I‘ve only begun to appreciate it now. My apologies! BIG award for this session!

Comments in reference to the character Laurelin a Half-elf: Another great session! The party may be small, and we may spend an awful lot of time doing IC stuff that doesn‘t always have a particularly significant bearing on the main plot, but it‘s incredibly entertaining and the interactions between all the members of the party (and their reactions to each other) makes this group a pleasure to play with. As far as Laurelin goes, I maintain that she‘s an absolute sweetie, no wonder that Jay wants to look after her and Ty wants to do unexpected nice things for her! :) Consistently and entertainingly played, she‘s a great character to play alongside.

It‘s difficult to say whether her displays of concern are strictly related to her desire to survive, or if she really has come to care for the members of the group.
She seems to be working on controling her own troubles, and has taken instead to boiling water rather than setting the group a‘flame. But there is one thing she and many other members of the group all agree upon...
...Dusk should have just taken the pill.

BUT, this week is an exception, a fantastic game filled with some of the finest roleplaying from all concerned.
Jareks gradual development over the past months reached a pivitol moment for this character, which opened the door to some excellent roleplay as Jarek and other characters reacted to this turning point in his life.

Comments in reference to the character Keris Fensmoor a Human: (Add Comments Here) An OOC Review this week:
Keris seems to be at a quandry - she doesn‘t seem to really trust anyone, yet at the same time she looks for compotent leadership. As if being hit by a hammer while the rest of the group stands on watching wasn‘t enough, the incident with the Faceless Woman has probably only served to stir her doubts in the group.

Pilgrim is pretty convienced though that he is guilty..and also, that, he remains somewhat elusive and an enigma.. mainly I think, because Malachi.. does not know who he is.. at all.. maybe if he gets through this.. he‘ll have a better sense of that and of direction in life.. Comments in reference to the character Malachi d‘Ashby a Human: Have to give Malachi a BIG for his convincing roleplaying of the kid who didn‘t really belong with the thieves and murders he was with. His scene with his father in the jail was especially convincing. a good roleplayer and one who I‘d play with again. Great job!

Jasper was in usual rakish form, which is always a treat. I really enjoyed our poking around the temple and usual back and forth banter. It’s always nice to have a partner-in-crime and Glorfindel, though he would never admit it, would agree. Great game as usual hope to see you next week,

Comments in reference to the character Garin Karlsson a Human: Another excellent performance as Garin. I especially enjoyed how you managed to sneak in a little ‘common talk‘ every now and then, which I thought worked really well to make this character believable. It was also good that your character stayed behind in the East District while you searched for the source of the scream, and i actually thought it worked well enough that you confronted the slasher alone.

Comments in reference to the character Jarek a Human: (Add Comments Here) dare i say it? it appeared that jarek and tomarian actually bonded a bit this session.... maybe only a little bit, but even that would have been surprising a short time ago! lol I‘m glad that Millard wasn‘t able to hear a few of the comments Jarek made while Millard, Rhade, and Raven were making their way through Moander‘s Realm! lol It was hard enough for him to earn some respect from Jarek, without losing it right away!

An excellent game from Jasper as per usual. I really enjoyed how you‘ve convincingly started with a character that would not be traditional leader type and are now leading the group. You‘re an excellent role-player and you give all players a chance to get their moments, great job and BIG from me.

Comments in reference to the character Garin Karlsson a Human: (Add Comments Here): Its always the little things.. that mean the most I say, and while the character played was an introspective quieter one, the player managed to convey what was within, in perfectly timed bursts so that little else was needed. Something like that shows real talent and ease at roleplaying.. and to think this is a new roleplayer on the scene. Whether it was carefully crafted emotes (the character seemed to play with his ring but it coincided with inner thoughts I believe) to appropriate and well chosen dialogue, it is hard to fault the roleplaying here. I can‘t wait to see more of this character.. and this player. Bravo!

Comments in reference to the character Garin Karlsson a Human: You did a very good job portraying a guard. You roleplayed his obedience to the inquisitor very well and still spoke up and good ideas about the more mundane aspects of the investigation. I would have liked to find out what you wanted to do with the map, but I honestly thought that such a map would be hard to come by, given the setting. I am looking forward to next and again great job.

Comments in reference to the character Garin Karlsson a Human: I think you did an excellant job :) You did such a good job of being respectfully quiet, yet still saying plenty (if that makes sense?) and getting your character across well. Garin and the Father really need some time alone away from the Inquisitor to talk about our suspicions - if the Inquisitor is honestly good then I shall eat my holy symbol! I‘m really looking forward to the finale next week...

Comments in reference to the character Jarek a Human: A great portryal of a man depressed and alone, ready to give up and die. Just maybe, that spark of humanity can drag him back from the brink. Fantastic roleplay as usual. This unusual character is bringing out the best in all of us.

Jasper was in fine form and as usual I enjoyed our plotting. Jasper seems to have been softened a bit this game, which is excellent as I think this is for the best of the group. Jasper is well played and your motives are suitably suspicous. A very played game, hope to see you next week,

Caitlyn Silverleaf a Human: Really enjoyed this session, as I loved the roleplaying with all the characters.
Ah, Caitlyn, our humble leader. Our humble leader with ethics! Our humble leader who pales at the sight of blood, is deathly afraid of spiders, and vomits at the sight of corpses - her own doing or not. Interesting mix. :)
Great roleplaying from you, Star - some great touches added in, such as those above, and the attraction toward that druid, Farghan. -Smiles- Some great roleplaying comments, too, which made me smile every so often. Can‘t really think whether Caitlyn‘s supposed to be a light-humored character, or a serious one. Bit of both?
The most memorable roleplaying event is hard to pick out, though. I have two favourites for this - again, the lack of a clue when Amir and Serion were trying to coerce you into speaking with the ‘little wyrmling‘ in the mountains, or the conversation about the morningstar being a nice weapon. Despite that fact that it bashes in people‘s bones, and kills them slowly. ;)
All in all, I really liked your character concept, and the way you performed it. Great job!

Comments in reference to the character Jarek a Human: (Add Comments Here) Great job of playing Jarek once again! gotta love this maddening character.. hee hee. He started out the session in his usual role as scout/leader, then after a comment from Rhade and an encounter with Rahjak once again began sulking and hanging in the background, eventually forcing poor sneaky Millard to actively search for a trap to walk into, just to wake Jarek up to the fact that his skills were needed. by sessions end, jarek was back to being his usual cocky, but competent self! :) another BIG for developing the first evil charry i‘ve actually enjoyed having in my party, and delivering on it week after week!
[StarStuff's reply to comment: roflmao I really had no idea the trap-springing was deliberate, that makes it even funnier! *wipes away a tear, puts on serious face* Thankyou for your kind words and I hope Jarek continues to keep you entertained as we progress further into the adventure. ]

Jasper Trevannin a Human: Jasper, I can already see he‘s going to cause a whole lot of trouble for the group, as well as a bit of hilarity. A great and certainly cocky/arrogant/questionable character, it seems he and Glorfindel have already begun constructing a few nefarious schemes. It‘ll be fun to see how they pan out.

Comments in reference to the character Hirbag a (Half?) Orc: Good play. Hirbag was in character all the time, worked well with the group and added much needed combat ablity to the group. Unfortunately, being in character made you a bit too quiet in the session. That‘s the risk you take when playing Hirbag‘s type of character. (loner and unsocial). A tip is to give your character some quirk or special behaviour to force interaction despite the fact that they would normally not interact.

I agree with the others, I hardly could tell you were a newbie. You did an excellent job. You already used the DM channel if you had OOC questions, which is always a good thing. And you kept up with the players in-game nicely. Your statue still stands proudly in the center of the orc village :)
