Reviews To Date for Barry

Comments in reference to the character Fionn a Elf: I was surprised to learn that Fionn didn‘t really side with either the seelie or the unseelie, I think I have a lot to learn about the fae. I bet he would make a good leader too, if he was considered, he seems wise and just.

Comments in reference to the character Fionn a Elf: Well played . . . say, if Eithne were to become like a queen, what would that make Fionn? King? Would that be important, given the matriarchy of Celtia?
12/18/05
Fionn: A heated discussion with the humans as Fionn and Zannu seem to find a common ground. But they are still divided by race. And what will happen to that slender thread of accord now that the fae have dominion over all the land?

Comments in reference to the character Fionn a Elf: (Add Comments Here)At last Fionn and Zannu finally found some common ground. It may be they will need the support of each other as the power of Andrea and the Unseelie grows.

Comments in reference to the character Fionn a Elf: Fionn spoke for the first time (that I can recall, at least) of love, of its importance to him. What an interesting diversion amidst all the political discussion.

Comments in reference to the character Fionn a Elf: (Add Comments Here)The instructions seem simple enough, defend the groves. But against whom? Well played.
11/21/05
Fionn: Another rune goes into the fire. Another weave to create...something. The runes are fun, if never completely explained.
11/21/05
Comments in reference to the character Fionn a Elf: Fionn‘s quiet strength can be felt where ever he goes. What runes of power did he wrought when Gwen arrived? Great roleplay.
11/15/05
Learned a little more about Fionn this session, he often tends to stay in the background. Well played!
11/14/05
Comments in reference to the character Fionn a Elf: I was surprised to see Fionn leading the elves off to the grove . . . why weren‘t the others included?
11/14/05
Fionn: It isn‘t often that one gets to talk to a goddess...and live. What will the characters do now that Danu has laid new jobs and ideas upon them? What is the next step for these new leaders of the land and their companions? And what will their enemys do? How will Fionn support his love, the new Grand Druid? Lots of questions to go with the new answers.
11/14/05
Comments in reference to the character Fionn a Elf: (Add Comments Here)Fionn sacrificed much to talk to the goddess. Did he get the answer he wanted to hear? Great roleplay.

Comments in reference to the character Fionn a Elf: Fionn weaves powerful cords in the grove.

Comments in reference to the character Fionn a Elf: (Add Comments Here)I had a fantastic time, so much to think about. Rome was on fire for this session and everyone played their characters so well I want to award each a Big. Can’t wait till next week now…Lion

Comments in reference to the character Fionn a Elf: Fionn was awfully quiet . . . of course, I‘m sure there are some RL issues at play there. Hope your wife is feeling better, and that we can see you both in-game again soon.
10/30/05
Comments in reference to the character Fionn a Elf: Fionn is sometimes hard to understand. He seems lofty and that he might hold contempt for the rest of the party. I guess he plays an elf well ;) good performance
10/29/05
Fionn an Elf: When will the fae take sides? What is that they truly wish? Time will tell.

Comments in reference to the character Fionn a Elf: (Add Comments Here)As usual great to play with you in the game. It is too bad we didn‘t get to see how the Balor plan would have worked out.

Comments in reference to the character Fionn a Elf: Fionn resisted the temptress Samantha. He‘s both handsome and honorable. What a man!
07/31/05
Fionn: So enigmatic with his runes...they seem to hold all the answers. But Fionn‘s not sharing and he looks about the group as if searching for anyone to trust, other than Eithne. Well played.
07/31/05
Fionn‘s sudden subtle and slight interest in Samantha Hooligan lays a foundation for fun and edges the other players for my vote for BiG. Excellent play and hopefully the waters will begin to stir!
07/25/05
Comments in reference to the character Fionn a Elf: Nice to see that Fionn can kick some ass, too. See you next week . . .
07/18/05
Comments in reference to the character Fionn a Elf: Great having you as always. I‘m curious if your typing is a little slow sometimes? I would have liked to see a little more in your reaction to Samantha; as it was, it was funny and seemed like Fionn is just shy, but I doubt that was your intention there. Well played.

Comments in reference to the character Fionn a Elf: (Add Comments Here) As you can probably tell I am shifting the game towards a more elven based setting. Personally I have always had an interest in elven royalty and I think it would interesting to see how this plays out in Celts. As far as the game pause last time - I know that was dramatic - but it was a message I wanted everyone to hear so that I can do more complicated things with the plot and characters without raising suspicion that I am picking on folks. Actually Tig is about to suffer a great deal as a character because of his growing list of enemies. But first I have to talk with him as a player to get his understanding of this.

Fionn: Fionn still intrigues. What is his plan? Why does he stay with Jada? Is there more here? Well played.

07/03/05
Fionn: Insulted and determined to be recognized, Fionn weaves a complex and bold rune spell in the Druid‘s Grove. An intriguing character, he continues to ask hard questions and offer interesting solutions. Well played.
07/03/05
Comments in reference to the character Fionn a Elf: Nice to see Fionn assert himself a little more. Too bad we‘re nothing but men . . . ;)
07/03/05
Comments in reference to the character Fionn a Elf: Fionn doesn‘t take kindly to being ignored. Then again, these druid women do not know fae men. Binding the druid grove to himself is truely bold. Wonderful roleplay.
06/26/05
Fionn: Fionn asks some hard questions, but he may be overlooking Ketta‘s power even though she claims to follow Osiris. If druids can‘t be druid and follow the Death god...then where is she getting her power? And do we want her to keep it? Well played.
06/25/05
Comments in reference to the character Fionn a Elf: (Add Comments Here)As usual, fun to have Fionn in the group. Zannu is concerned that his ideal of druidism will not be met by the druids that hold power in Celtia.

06/19/05
Comments in reference to the character Fionn a Elf: (Add Comments Here)I get the feeling Fionn had a lot of questions that he did not ask last night, and a lot of statements of outrage. I liked the strong statement about what Druids should be like but always recall that that odd tension you feel should be there and you should act on it and be more up front. The fact is that these folks are not good, they are not what one expects from DnD druids because they are based on real people - who could care less about “balance“, but who DO value loyalty, respect for tradition and the power they have. That said - never think that you are challenging the GM when you challenge a NPC or character. I actually try to foster those situations. The crucial fact is that unless Fionn and Eithne aquire more power and friends - even ones you do not agree with on all points - the more leverage you have to get folks in power to actually BE good. For example if you thought that the tribe of Timber was about to be wiped out - you could summon Solitare the mage or bolt over to warn Velle, you could also talk to Asara about it (though you may not want to feed that fire).
06/19/05
Fionn: Silent glances with Eithne seem to hold more than just a brief look. What is going on behind his quiet demeanor and creation of runes and charms? A most intriguing character. Well played.
06/18/05
Comments in reference to the character Fionn a Elf: Fionn weaves rune stones that give him insight and have helped th party.

Comments in reference to the character Fionn a Elf: (Add Comments Here)Great dialog. you where all right there. Your so close you don‘t even know it. This is just a huge build up and it‘s going to pop real soon. You guys are so good, even when you haven‘t a clue...L
06/13/05
Comments in reference to the character Fionn a Elf: Good play . . . as I‘ve been saying, we‘re seeing more and more of Fionn each week. Time for him to come out in the plot, I think.
06/11/05
Fionn: Fionn‘s runes called a woman of power but couldn‘t hold off the rage of the thug. The elf‘s powers are formidable, but I fear they have only just begun to be tested. An interesting character, we learn more and more each session, mostly through some very evocative emotes. Well played.

Comments in reference to the character Fionn a Elf: (Add Comments Here)I forgot to give you a ward rune - remind me next game, I really like the tying of knots. I kmow the politics and themes of the last game were fast moving and murky but these things move in cycles in this story so I am certain you will get more clarity (along with more trouble I am sure) as we move forward.
06/05/05
Comments in reference to the character Fionn a Elf: Well, we finally are getting to know a lot more about Fionn; his stances, motivations . . . I think we‘ll get to see a lot more of him, and hopefully this exciting session will make you more interested in the game. Nicely played!
06/05/05
Comments in reference to the character Fionn a Elf: Fionn is presented with a dilemma. Does he ally with this strange woman, Asara? She‘s offered to bring the fey back in power. Yet, she admits it was her people who wrested the feys‘ power in the first place. How can she be trusted? And why does she offer to help them now? Fionn is firm in his assertion that he will not support any coup by Tigh. Wonderful and responsive roleplay, Barry.
06/04/05
Fionn: Great quiet play as Barry makes use of expressive and enigmatic emotes. His loyalty lies with Eithne, that is clear. How will he handle this offer of Asara to bring the elves back to power? What does Fionn really want?

Comments in reference to the character Fionn a Elf: (Add Comments Here)Great session, sure did have a lot going on tonight, but the mystery only thickens. Who is on who‘s side, and who will be the next ruler of the Non-Fae. Choose wisely as the Moon Goddess is watching.

Comments in reference to the character Fionn a Elf: A quiet guy, but we started to learn a little together and learn some about him . . . I do hope you decide to stick around. Well played, we‘ll see you next time.
05/16/05
Comments in reference to the character Fionn a Elf: Fionn vowed to save the little girls. He cloaks himself with magic in the face of deception and duplicity. Fionn is creatively play and an interesting character.

I normally don‘t make blanket comments, but I have no choice this time. First I‘d like to say it‘s nice to see old friends again. Secondly, I think what has happened just prior to my return is good and natural for this kind of mod, and fits the spirit of this world Rome has created. With a little help on the DM side, all these factions can come together and hopefully start to make more sense to everyone. Good game tonight and see ya all next week...LION

Comments in reference to the character Fionn a Elf: Fionn seems to be a very serious, royal and aloof type of elf. That‘s fine, but there are many elves here who are not. Anyway, I hope the post-game chat helped you out, the friendly fire that killed you was likely intentional; that one of our supposed ‘friends‘ is actually trying to stop us. Now, what do we do with a traitor, when death doesn‘t last?
05/01/05
Comments in reference to the character Fionn a Elf: Fionn is quickly becoming the assertive fey in the group. Weather or not this is good remains to be seen as he sometimes comes close to death and pushes the limits of Fey in some places. It is an interesting concept on the idea of “boundries“ of ones influence and one we should discuss in more detail because as a whole I think the opinions are mixed.

Comments in reference to the character Fionn a Elf: Fionn did what any elf might do, he wove some leaves into a garland. Creative and fun.

Comments in reference to the character Fionn a Elf: (Add Comments Here)I really liked the way you were making a wreath and contributed to the conversations. Feel free to add to your background - we should work on that together and to ask the other players political and cultural questions that may even be awkward or put them on the spot. Given the way you played this character and your associate I have a suggestion that you could come from the southern islands or the great deep woods to the far north. Both are areas where humans are tolerated but elves are in control of things, and it would provide justification for your confidence even while you walk through a land scarred by wars and tender truces between fae and mortals.
