Great job playing this type of character. Keep it up. I really loved how you played a bit of a skulking coward in the pub. It also isnt easy to deal with the amount of hostility your character dealt with, but I think you pulled it off. Just try to stay consistant and you will continue to provide an entertaining character.

Comments in reference to the character Draven Blackthorn a Human: Well, whew! Things are getting heated! Regardless, it‘s still turning out well, even though some player‘s are getting frustrated!
I must of course apologize for you guys getting frustrated, but that was not the intent, nor was it to make things so difficult...for any one. We‘re running the adventure based on what the party does...and we did not intend for any one to feel forced down any path. Nor did we want you to feel forced to use any particular members connection, or what have you.
A few spoilers/bits of advice;
1. Ask around! Not a single person stopped a passer-by for any information what-so-ever! Maybe some one might have seen some of the villagers? Not only important people have information. Calad is full of people selling things, including information.
2.Try to make some friends! Sure they might be thieves, or worse...but friends in a place like Calad is a good thing...not a bad one...and they might be able to get you ‘in‘ somewhere Papal writs and other ‘official‘ means might not.
3. Gangs rule the streets. Making one or more of them hate you might be a bad idea...perhaps some of the gamg members might have seen the villagers? Sure they might be scum to you...but information is neither good, nor evil...
Now, I don‘t mean to say you have to be evil, or non-lawful. But there -is- a system which operates in Calad.
I think this session was so frustrating is because every one only wanted to work within their ‘system‘ of getting things done, and not the one used in the Town of Calad.
I may sound like I‘m trying to make the party a bunch of scoundrels...but that‘s not the case! Keep your options open, and things should go swimmingly.
And realize that sometimes ‘official‘ means are the most tedious, and cumbersome. Escpecially in a place like Calad, which is -why- it‘s so lawless....

I think this fellow and your rp of him is splendid, I think I get the sense of a slightly shady, fellow who has self preservation up most on his mind..:), not evil at all, but not goody goody, and he and the baron are in for some fun times together hee...of course the baron knew you were right about the beggar..and of course he knew you were right about..going into dark allyways.... but.. you see we‘ve been through so much, with the baron having to face so many things are not myth..he‘s become more than a little unhinged, though that‘s not readily apparent..and having already preformed many “unsavory“ sorts of acts for Nimarron, and rather hoping for and looking for a fight..he went with the beggar *grins he‘s not unaquainted with the seamier side of things, though Draven does know more...pay no attention.. I love this fellow.. he‘s great..and I‘m happy you can be with us! LRP

Comments in reference to the character Draven Blackthorn a Human: Draven seems to have got himself into some serious trouble this time... As if the bounty on his head isn‘t bad enough, the mad priest is certainly making life difficult. Sadly, he seems incapable of keeping his secrets... Perhaps telling all the other passengers of your drug smuggling habits wasn‘t the best way to make a good first impression. It was rather amusing to watch Draven step back from combat on the ship gaining an immense tactical advantage, whilst the other more ‘heroic‘ characters got hammered by the zombies. Similarly, he saw that ambush in the alley a mile off... But the party didn‘t listen to him. It seems odd that the only evil character is by far the most sane. You blended into the party really well, providing a much-needed counterpoint to the goody-goody Sarah and Love. Welcome to the group. ^.^

Eventhough, you RPed well on the boards and in the module, I don‘t think this character would have associated with this group. Too much good around for you. Your arrogance was almost enought to push most of the other characters over the edge (on board of course). That was a nice touch.
You were late to the game, but once there, got your stuff together quickly.
All in all, a good player and a good character.

Comments in reference to the character Draven Blackthorn a Human: (Add Comments Here) Draven is a mage. Possibly neutral, but he dropped some hints that he might stray on the slightly darker side of the fence.
His manner was... abrasive. From calling party members fools to ignoring those whom he didn‘t agree with, he came across as aloof, egotistical, sarcastic, and quite possibly a future threat to “good“ greater than that which we killed.
Surprisingly, the characterization worked well with the party. Most of the characters got along well, but the friction caused by this character made things interesting. It wasn‘t bad enough to actually destroy party unity, and it added spice to the evening. I applaud his RP skills for knowing how to take it just far enough and no further. Nicely done.
I can still see him, standing in a corner plotting how he can steal the knowledge possessed by this necromancer and increase his own power. Then yelling at the stupid half-orc for being, well, a stupid half-orc... and almost getting pounded as a consequence.
Very well done.

Each game he shows himself to be patient and thoughtful, characteristics not commonly ascribed to dwarven fighters. This session, however, his dwarvishness did surface somewhat, as his impatience outside the Svirfneblin gates almost lost him presence before the Blingdenstone mayor. His anger at Rysto (or perhaps it was general prejudice towards spellcasters?) was also evidenced, although at least in once instance it was deserved (when Rysto tired of Vitus‘s careful examination of the chest.) However, despite the difficulties, Vitus was still loyal to his compatriots and stood strong to defend others in the face of a threat. A hardy dwarf like this one would do well to have by his side!

Comments in reference to the character Vitus Stonehammer a Dwarf: (Add Comments Here)Vitus had some great moments in the game tonight. Constantly reacting to his environment and circumstances, the dwarf continued to be one of the most believable PC‘s I‘ve played with. Always testing the situation instead of rushing blindly into battle like most fighters (and dwarves) do, Vitus showed great wisdom and battle-hardiness. The only times the dwarf was less than a hardened warrior were when he panicked around the kuo-toan inquisitors. His fear of water was again very well role-played, and it never seemed to be done as a gimmick. I was especially impressed that he took off his armor and braved the spawning pools in a tunic. True role-players make game-play sacrifices like that, and although he died a few times for it, it made the game even more immersive. One of the funniest moments of the game was after a massive battle against a kuo-toan army. Poor Vitus had to start searching through every body to find his warhammer, which was once again stuck to the adhesive coating on the skin of a kuo-toa. Great game!

This review is for Vitus Stonehammer: A nice start to your character, Jack. Both you and I seem to be a tad on the quiet side, but I think eventually we both found ways to interact with each other. I like how you threw in your hydrophobia and your dislike/hate feelings about boats. It will definitely be interesting once Rysto re-joins our group. No offense to the character that left since he was great, too, but it‘s nice to work with a fighter who has commmon sense. ;)

Vitus the dwarf was a great addition to the party, and his personality and antics brought him to life quickly. The dwarf‘s fear of water was very well acted out, and little comments and actions throughout the session added to his character a great deal. When having to wade into a room with about a foot of standing water, Vitus quickly made his way to a boulder to climb up on. Constantly testing the depth of the water with his maul, Vitus proceeded with great caution whenever water was involved, and so far, his caution has had merit, as crystal oozes have often emerged from the Underdark waterways. The interaction with Nadae was superb, and little touches like the reaction to the Otyugh‘s disease, poison from the violet fungus, and other incidents were very believable. Constantly role-playing through each and every situation, Vitus brought this game to a level that felt just like PnP D&D. A superb player, and a welcome addition to the team!

Draven has been an excellent character. It’s a shame that the party has come to break up but it was going to happen due to the differences in the group.
Draven was a true bounty hunter, after money and not caring who he upset. This could have been something that made Bullin like Draven (he is a greedy dwarf) but Draven and Quans disrespect for Kleglag and Anarys was always going to make Bullin hate them and as happened come to blows with them.
I really hope you carry on playing with the group, you are a great roleplayer. The tension your’s and Quan’s characters brought to the group was very fun to play with and I hope you find a new character that can fit in with the group but have no less roleplay impact.
Looking forward to next time

[Jack's reply to comment: Good point on not rushing up to the front of the line. We just got our butts kicked by Umber Hulks and I was trying to get tactics by using ranged weapons and also trying to confuse the Hulk with screams . But I understand I was upfront most of the time. :) ]

Cora may make the decisions, but it‘s Balix who keeps us all together and moving. He‘s a great character, and his player is very nice to deal with OOC. Great game - BiG this week.
