Comments in reference to the character Matreus Fryar a Human: Matrues sure had a lot of amnesia from his time as a statue, I wonder if he‘ll ever get his memory back.

Comments in reference to the character Matreus Fryar a Human: Good job showing Matreus‘ helpless reaction to something from his past--a great job showing the weakness of a man who will admit to no such thing.

Comments in reference to the character Matreus Fryar a Human:
Matreus, so much to say about him.
He‘s definately opinionated and obnoxious, though that does often lead to humour. From a DMs point of view he provides plenty of entertainment and I enjoy watching him and reading what he has to say about things.
His lack of sympathy towards Grilt‘s severe injury was interesting because while he was not at all sympathetic and even suggested the group leave Grilt behind, he was the main one to handle Grilt and make sure he kept up with the group. And he also had the best suggestions of how to heal the dwarf.
Could it be that Matreus cares more than he is letting on? Maybe.

Comments in reference to the character Matreus Fryar a Human: At first, his lack of response, to two members of the group being whipped by the drow in front of the rest of the group, seemed rather cold. Yet later on, his upset with it started to show and, it turns out he does care after all, even if it‘s not in his character to ever admit it. Well RPed.

I know you‘re a trigger-happy fire mage, but you might want to hold your guns next time Carabell requests for you to not fireball the OOC Room ;)

The most visible thing in the character is that despite his seriousness, some sarcasm and some funny notes are visibly shown through the character, and it‘s certainly enjoyable. This, though, is enchanted by the effects of other characters, turning into a whole mess - and improving the experience! kudos to the player.

Comments in reference to the character Matreus Fryar a Human: Matreus finally got his alcohol, and he likes drow wine. He seems to use just about every opportunity he gets to drink down an entire bottle, and I wonder what effect this will have in the coming sessions.

Comments in reference to the character Matreus Fryar a Human: Matreus is well played, though his personality seems somewhat dwarven (continual yearning for the simple pleasures like smoke and alcohol.) None the less, he‘s doing much to keep the group interacting and on their toes.

Comments in reference to the character Matreus Fryar a Human: Matreus‘ personality didn‘t dominate the game and conversations this time, but the player made his arrogance just as clear as before. Showing his dependence on alcohol was an interesting touch. I‘m still waiting for the player to show Matreus‘ vulnerability--real-life people are never so one-sided that they don‘t care about -something-, or fail -sometimes-. Does Matreus ever get so drunk that he can‘t take care of himself? Does something from his past haunt him? Does he ever show just a glimpse of trying to take care of someone else, even if only for a moment? Whatever it is, it will be interesting.

Comments in reference to the character Matreus Fryar a Human: Did quite a good job this session, and was really valuable to the team. He was in control of the situation quite a few times, and has a good head on his shoulders.

Comments in reference to the character Matreus Fryar a Human: Matreus was incredibly helpful to the group, finding ways (both through sneaking and persuading) to gather supplies even though we were in prison. Matreus was also consistently played as prideful, pompous, and sneering. It was interesting to watch him change from showing open contempt of our captors to acting subservient in order to get what he wanted.
I have only two complaints: a) His sneering was unrelentless, which might be good RP, but I found it unpleasant after a while as a player, and it makes me wonder how my character will ever find a way to work together with him. b) Every so often he would emote what he was thinking instead of what he was doing, which I personally find to be a bit jarring. It didn‘t happen very often, though.

Comments in reference to the character Matreus Fryar a Human:
Matreus managed to alienate many members of the group early on and subsequently caused quite a bit of tention between them. Yet, despite this, he also won their respect later on, when he managed to get a hold of valuable items that may very well help to save them all from the drow. He used his wits and let go of his pride in order to do this, a great show of determination and strength. I have feeling that he will be one of the major driving forces for the group as the story continues. -Purple
