Reviews To Date for Talus
09/13/06
“We flying!!“ Ha. It was great to play with Vashal Redfeather. The RP was great, but my only regret was that Vashal wasnt just a hair smarter, because I know you would have been great at the puzzle side of things as a player. Nice work.
09/13/06
Awesome job. Finely got you to swing at some more ants. I loved most of the commentary especially about the ship and the pool of acid. Funny as always and a good time too.
09/08/06
Well, I can honestly tell you that that was good RP. It got you killed... and was so damn dumb... but true to Vashal, and I suppose dumb is the word of the day. heh. Great work. It seemed highly realistic that such a place would drive him to the breaking point until he just lost it. Nice.
09/07/06
The big funny guy. The rage was amazing. Though possibly the worst possible thing for us to do, it was GREAT rp. Though you are not entirely to blame, that rachman guy shouldn‘t have said there was another one ;)
08/10/06
Cutting our enemies into ribbons seems to be your forte. Good thing you have great cleave or we might have been hurting a lot more that round. I especially enjoyed the subtle transition for Rachman becoming the new vind and vashal looking out for him. Great job.
08/03/06
Vashal seems to be drifting into some fits of rash behavior. I think it is a conscious effort, maybe as he becomes a more seasoned adventurer. The character is fun to play with and “be around“ and is always a welcome companion.
08/02/06
Well played last night. Course your beefy arms saved us many times over, but I also thoroughly enjoyed the finer points of the RP. I just loved how vashal couldn‘t get over the fact that ravens eat bugs. Great job as usual.
08/02/06
Great work. I noticed you quite often layed the ground work that led the others to solving the puzzles.
07/26/06
Great job figuring out that puzzle. Also great job with the RP.
07/26/06
Nice work Vashal. You nailed the guide stones puzzle pretty well. The RP was great as usual too. BIGs for Vashal.
07/19/06
Great job keeping the expansive wasteland fun! I also enjoyed the amount of irritation that began creeping into vashal. Great rp. Also, good job beating the body guard. I never had a doubt in you ;)
07/19/06
Vashal seemed at wits end this go round and was definitely ready for the battle. Who knows what might have been had he not put the finishing touches on Azeelbuad? ;) Great game though, as usual.
07/19/06
You did a great job this game Talus. I was very impressed. Not so much for the deductive reasoning of course, but for the EXCEPTIONAL RP. I love the fact that Vashal was acting like a selfish child under these circumstances... it seemed so realistic... especially the way that he drank the last of the water. That was golden. Also, it may have been dumb luck, but your suggestion to fist fight instead of fight to the death against Dajimon was very smart... and if it had been set at hardcore as it should have, probably would have saved your butt. Nice work.
07/13/06
Comments in reference to the character Vashal Redfeather a Human: (Add Comments Here)A fun game, and Vashal‘s interaction with the camel stands out in my mind. Well done!
07/12/06
Good work Talus, better get your thinking cap on tight for next week though.
07/12/06
Great rping, and as usual, love the funny jokes. :)
06/28/06
Nice work Vashal. You whacked em good.
06/28/06
Great job! Once again, fantastic job pounding our enemies to a pulp and spitting out funny sayings at the same time. I still dont understand the woodworking tool reference. I was a little worried though when we were in the jail and I turned the one guard to stone and it was a good 2 sec before anyone began to react. Sorry I didnt get more warning to you :) Great job!
06/21/06
Its always difficult to find a challenge for the berserker of Rashemon. Nice job with the RP and the whacking.
06/21/06
Where to begin ... great job on the boat playing up the sea sickness (and surviving the attack so that we could live through the campaign). Great job leading us against the giants (nice damage on them too). Also leading us through the swamp, especially keeping us moving against the undead. Nice to see vashal not being the one to stay behind and try and protect us. Also liked you playing up the disease, and not following the lizardmen (“They think me dumb“). And my favorite part of all was you stopping attacking a zombie to attack one that was coming for klinkle.
06/14/06
Great job as usual. I enjoyed how vashal stepped forward as the scout. I am interested to see which one of us ends up leading the party since vind is gone. It seems like vashals protective side lends him to be a good candidate, but his naivety works against him. Great game!
05/25/06
Nice as always. Good RP, and good wacking.
05/25/06
Great job as usual. Always funny. Course now im confused as to who will be taking care of us...
05/18/06
Great as always. I love watching Vashal chew out Vind for wandering off. HA
05/17/06
To be honest, I could not stop laughing at vashal‘s commentary. Especially hilarious this game. Great job. Also I gave you a bump towards neutral good (even if that is what you are) because busting down the door was chaotic, but paying for it afterwards was lawful.
05/04/06
Great RP. It was a relief to finally see Vashal get enough to eat! Oh, and I like what you did with your armor. Very Vashal. Nut job.
05/03/06
Great job as usual with Vashal. Even when he isn‘t swinging his greatsword around, he is great to have around and just talk with.
05/03/06
great game buddy. excellent RP as always. gonna be good to bust some heads in fresh air next week :P
04/27/06
Vashal is a wonderfully developed character. I think there may be a tendancy to get a little “bash-happy“, but I suppose it still falls into the character, so I can‘t really call it an issue (it is something I would be aware of as a player though). Always a pleasure, always entertaining and very fun to play with.
04/26/06
Vindy Vindy Vindy Vind. Xorn aside... the first rule of scouting: Always attempt to judge the size and strength of an enemy before engaging, and then choose the most advantageous terrain for the fight. Thing you have to keep in mind, I tend to error on the side or realism rather than balance. You should have gone to see what you were up against before allowing Albrect to start hammering away and bringing them all at once with no bottleneck or narrow space to keep Kyra and Vashal from getting surrounded. Ah well, its always an adventure with you lot. HA. On the bright side, at least you are alive still, thanks to Albrect. Better luck next time!

[Talus's reply to comment: um....me Vashal....not Vindy.

]

04/26/06
Not much outside the typical game for us. Lie dead on the ground for about half, and watch vashal cut through about half of them before he falls ;). But i will say i was surprised at Vashal‘s reaction to the xorn. I understand he thought it was attacking vind, but i was surprised to see him actually attack the xorn without more provocation. But I suppose that was vashal‘s protective side coming out ;)

[Talus's reply to comment: Well there was a bit more to it. It wasn't letting him sleep. And he had had enough

]

04/20/06
great job as usual, whacking the hell outta leezards. those things didnt have a chance. Sorry for going off, but Vind is a rogue ranger, and though I knew it would be trouble, I had to get him to explore...he is always curious about what we are missing. Great comments, great poisoned RP, great job as usual.

[Talus's reply to comment: No worries. I loved it. Had a great time RPing Vashal poisoned.

]

04/19/06
The crazy berserker of Rashemon strikes again. Oh how the drow must fear the name of Vashal. Great work. I just loved when Vashal intuitivly knew Vind was going to get you all in trouble. “Time to go Vind“...“Ill be right back“...“Now!“ HA! That was good stuff. See you next week.
04/19/06
Vind: “Vashal, I‘m sorry.“ Vashal: “Well you should be!“ LOL I loved it. Great job as usual. Next time, ill make sure klink doesnt lead you into another ambush of ettins. ;)
04/12/06
What can I say, you clobbered some drow this game. Good think for Klinkle‘s rod or it could have been ugly. Anyway, great job as usuwal.
04/12/06
As usual, Vind saves our butts in the first five minutes. Not sure what happened there, but im glad that we didnt all die because of my misplaced soundburst. Great leadership as usual, till about the end ;). Now klinkle is gonna have to save everyones butt LOL. Seriously though dude, great job.
03/30/06
Well the big guy was as useful as ever, even considering the fact that most of the session was spent in sleepy time. Still, the role-playing was as good as it gets, as usual.
03/30/06
Wonderful as always, sorry you had to spend so much of this one dead, but ah well, at least you alive now. See you next time.
03/29/06
Can‘t really say much other than, sorry i caught you on fire and sorry my buffs didnt last long enough to be any affect during battle. But I did enjoy RPing with you in the afterlife. :)
03/29/06
I dont know about you buddy, but I sure feel like the most useless player IG this round. I think that between the two of us we killed 6 spiders and 1 drow. LOL! anyways, great RP, it was hilarious when Vashal said “Albrect, you know what at a distance mean?“ that cracked me up.
03/22/06
Great job, yet again. You can certainly tear those orcs to shreads. Well played.
03/22/06
This week my comments will be consistent to the group, as I feel we have reached a real pinnacle. Everyone deserves a BIG this week, IMO. The role-playing couldn‘t be better. The interactions between the characters have reached a level of perfection and are working to weave a truly great story tapestry. As a group we have never worked better together and I can‘t say enough of the overall spirit of our play.
03/22/06
Vashal the killing machine. Only, doesnt help when he gets surprised and his witch hasnt buffed him. Sorry about that. Great job slaying the dragon. You did an awesome awesome job!
03/22/06
Vashal gets the BIG from me this week. cause I am pretty sure I saw him actually KNOCKDOWN A DRAGON. and Vashal actually said “Him have 3 legs, me just push him over.“ nice job man. I swear if we ever get to the surface, orcs will know and fear the name Vashal the Barbarian!
03/08/06
It‘s a toss up who made a better corpse, but Albrect was a more useful corpse with the blood and all ;) I am glad Dreedle‘s old suit of armor fits ya. It‘s pretty sweet gear and it replaces the Ironwood one (though it still sucks that had to go) Great Orc whacking btw :)
03/08/06
Great job Vashal. If only you had a little armored midget riding around on your shouler barking out orders.... hmmm... I suppose Klinkle would do. All she needs is a girdle of masculenaty.
03/08/06
Naming the Gold Dragons “Ruperts“ was the highlight of the evening, heh. Well done.
03/08/06
I love RPing with Vashal in the afterlife. Him and those dragons ... makes me chuckle. Anyways, great job as usual. I just wish we could have seen how much of an engine of destruction you could have been against krathinox.
03/01/06
Great job Vashal, as always your RP was great. Sorry about the sudden impact at the end. Getting hit with the leaning tower of pizza upside the head is never comfortable. Criticle hits happen.
03/01/06
Great job as usual. Im just glad vashal could resist fighting the dragon while klinkle lay there dead. I was really worried that would be the end of the party. I just wish I could have whipped out my spell faster so you and albrect wouldnt have died. Sorry bout that

[Talus's reply to comment: Actually I got pushed throught the Transition or I would have fought the dragon;)

]

02/23/06
good game man. thank god you figured out the puzzle. as soon as you started counting down the hall, a light turned on, and I saw the door, but ind was so slow it took me a while. and I was trying to RP it since he really shouldnt have heard ya, but I was ready to get it done lol! anyways, great job!
02/22/06
BIGs for Vashal. And happy B.day. You did earn it though. Outstanding job. Your RP is excellent, though in a group of excellent RPers, it is your puzzle solving skills which set you apart this time. Good work.
02/16/06
Yeah we should have listened to you, even if your logic didn‘t have anything to do with the actual clue ;). Next time, take a step towards chaotic and just pull whichever lever you please, it‘ll save us 2 hours of deliberation :)
02/16/06
Vashal is a character who is well developed and fun to play with. I look forward to seeing how he will “interpret“ the world around him. Nice work pulling the wrong lever on the dwarven trap, haha... that was everyone‘s fault.
02/16/06
You did really well most of the time. Great RP as always, and you saved Kyra‘s butt. You did get fairly lucky on that trap. Generally my traps involve fire or acid, in which case you would have been gone. Still, you lost your armor and helms, as well as most of your potions. School of hard knocks. heh. Ill bet you wont guess next time. :)
02/16/06
Comments in reference to the character Vashal Redfeather a Human: (Add Comments Here)Good job of RP as always. Nicely done.
02/16/06
great game as usual. Sorry you died and lost your sweet armor :( that stinks, and I am kicking the hell out of myself for not going back to look at the levers. I was getting too hard headed I guess. sorry man :(
02/09/06
You did especially well this time. Your RP, as always was great, but you got the BIG this week for being the first to really stress to your companions the need to avoid the mushrooms. Im sorry you werent clear on which mushrooms, but I think thats better, not like your a botonist. The wise adventurer, if he wasnt sure would avoid ALL the mushrooms. Better to error on the side of caution dont you think. I prefer to leave it vauge and let players learn on their own. :)
02/08/06
great job man! I swear I dont know how you do it always thinking of goofy comments for Vashal, but they are great, and I can always feel the elf in me seething with imaptience at some of them! great job!
02/08/06
Vashal is a fun character to be around; with a very literal perception of the world, things get interesting quick. Great fun.
02/08/06
Vashal the killing machine! Man, you crunched so many baddies it was great. On top of that, typical top notch performance. Love this guy!
02/02/06
Vashal is an animal. Good work. You tore the baddies to pieces. Nice work all around.
02/01/06
Wow...toe to toe with Dagamrond, then holding off the whole orc army...damn...that was an impressive bit of barbarian rage. Nicely done as always man
02/01/06
All i have to say was that in that big battle it was basically vashal vs. the orcs. Amazing fight!

01/26/06
Great work Vashal. As always, the RP added great flavor to the game. Sometimes one just has to stare at Vashal and wonder... what the @#$%? Keep it up, dispite the funny stuff, when you get down to it, you are just a plain excellent RPer.
01/26/06
Good job RPing. Vashal‘s comments just added the right touch of comedy to the session
01/18/06
Nice work Talus. Great RP as always. My ol‘lady especially liked Vashal. That maul gets some serious Crits! No one has ever used it, so its interesting to see what it can do. Not too shabby. See you next time.
01/12/06
Comments in reference to the character Vashal Redfeather a Human: (Add Comments Here) Excellent job of roleplaying once again! Vashal brings the RP to life, in a simple “big, dumb, solorful, nice guy“ way. Just love having the big guy with us!
01/11/06
I was thinking “Come on talus step out of character...DON“T DIVE IN!“ but I knew you would, and was glad you did, otherwise you would have been OOC. Great RP on that even though it was INSANE SUISCIDE! Good game bud
01/11/06
Wonderful job Vashal. Impressive RP this time. You must have known going in after Klinkle was certain death, yet you did it anyway because thats what Vahsal would do. I am impressed. You very nearly did die for it too, if Vind handnt rolled that 20 at the end, it would have been all over for you. I suppose Vashal earned his good alighnment and reputation for loyalty today. Good game, see you next week. Laurk
01/11/06
Wonderfully played as usual. I especially enjoyed our conversation in the afterlife. Great RP as usual.
01/06/06
Vashal still kicks butt. Vind was seething watching him not overcomplicate the riddles and just speak the words. Over and over and over...lol. Nice rage too barreling into the pitch black room, I was sure it was going to be down to me and Klinle after that, that was rough, Vashal kicked butt.
01/05/06
Yet again, another wonderful performance by Vashal. I just wish I hadn‘t dazed him in that one fight, and gotten us nearly killed. Like I said, sorry about that. I think Vashal did add some insight to Klinkle use of spells when he told her not to do that any more. I also enjoyed the rambling in the library, as well as figuring out the lighting puzzle and the compass. Great stuff. “Why we go that way? We already been north, east ... but not west. Why we go back north?“ *doors continue to open and close*

[Talus's reply to comment: All I have to say is...be glad I am not playing the wizard. I would have killed us off by now if I was. I think one or two miscasts is not bad. Not like you can pause and aim the spell.

]

Comments in reference to the character Vashal Redfeather a Human: (Add Comments Here)Nice use of bag of holding..but I may be a bit biased...excellent idea though! Nice job being Vashal..as always!

[Talus's reply to comment: I can't take credit for that. Had some help there.

]

01/04/06
Vashal was in rare form this time. You could almost see Vind wrestling with those lighting-fast firebolts of logistic cunning which Vashal was blasting out with such smug confidence... as though he knew he had just showed em what for. HA! Good job. Hope things go more smoothly for you next week.
12/08/05
Vashal had a couple bright ideas this go around! He‘s still a great, I love the lug...and when the ogre said “any humans around?“ I cringed cause I knew he was going to respond with a “YES!“ haha he‘s such a goof.
12/08/05
Comments in reference to the character Vashal Redfeather a Human: (Add Comments Here)Nicely played. Nice to see him starting to get mad more often, yet he still keeps his good sense of humor. Always fun to have him around.
12/07/05
Another wonderful game from you. You not only provided life-saving ideas, but your RP, as always was excellent. Keep it up.
12/07/05
Thanks for saving my arse. Dangling there while holding onto Vashal ... yeah i was waiting for you to drop me, but you didnt. Sorry we didnt come to save you when the manticore tore you to pieces.
11/30/05
Comments in reference to the character Vashal Redfeather a Human: (Add Comments Here)I like how Vashal is beginning to take more action without waiting to be told what to do. And walking around with him is a blast. Well done.
11/30/05
All I know is I couldnt stop laughing from all the comments Vashal was making. Hilarious! My wife had to keep asking me what was so funny.
11/30/05
Nice job Talus. Vahsal, as usual was an absoulute pleasure to watch. Great RP, though I think we need to adjust you Int to around 5. :) Alright, see you next time.
11/30/05
great job once again. Vashal is a great character. it was nice in Ulcaster seeing him getting the hang of how the group works together. It was well RP‘d. and he really hammered those mages thanks god, they could have been really nasty.
11/10/05
Vashal certainly saved the day by pointing out the button. But then again, we wouldn‘t gotten into any of that mess if he wasn‘t so persistant on saving the people ;)
11/10/05
Comments in reference to the character Vashal Redfeather a Human: (Add Comments Here)Vashal took me a little by surprise tonight, rushing off on his own into battle and getting us into trouble. But, it gave me the impression we have seen a side of Vashal we haven‘t seen yet, and that is perhaps his (for lack of a better phrase) “hero racing to save the damsel in distress“ side.
11/10/05
I like how Vashal acted like a good barbarian and decided to not listen to Vind so much when he heard the screaming. He did what a barbarian would do...he got mad and just kept hacking. Now if Vind can convince him to use that big sword, he wil hack bigger :)
11/10/05
That was sooo very close. I am torn, really. im going to leave it to a dice roll.... ok, I rolled. Sorry, you lost. But darn it! That was sooo close. Great job. You deserve a BIG this week.
11/03/05
great job Vashal. really well RPd, and played. Vashal is starting to hit pretty hard already, and is getting the hang of the group. I love how dopey he is, but could accidentally crush your head.
11/02/05
Im impressed. Not only do you play your intellect well, but you were invaluable this time around as a human road block. Most of all though, I am impressed by the way you handled that dormant disease. That is the kind of realism I like to see from my players. Good job. You got the BIG this week.

Always a pleasure to journey with such a fine fellow. Good for a joke or two and definitely helpful to the party.

[Talus's reply to comment: I love that armor:) My wife saw it and said It looked great for Vashal:)

]

10/26/05
Good job Vashal, I like the fact that you are trying to make peace between your mates. I also like the uphill battle you have to fight due to your low AC. I would suggest really relying on the environment to minimise the number of attacks coming your way. As an experianced player who uses a front line figher in light armor, I can testify to the fact that it can be done. Remember, being dull witted doesnt mean you dont know your way around a battlefield; especially considering your place or origin. In Rashemon, the berserkers have been fighting against everything from Thavian wizards to orc barbarians for generations. Oh, and that new armor of your is truly horrible looking heh... I think I saw man-boobs. Laurk

Comments in reference to the character Vashal Redfeather a Human: (Add Comments Here) Vashal is great! Ready to barrel into anything to help out his new buddies. he‘s going to be great for Vind to maliciously manipulate later in the game. MUHAHAHA! I love his goofyness, and his bravery. he‘s going to be a hoot!
10/19/05
Loved Vashal, since I didn‘t know him from FRC I got a whole new look at him. I thought you played him VERY well. An excellent character and I think he complemented Klinkle well too.
10/19/05
Great job. Vashal is such a great character. It will be interesting to watch you progress in medium armor and see how you improvise your strengths and weaknesses. Very good job. See you next week. Laurk
10/13/05
Good job Vashal. Im glad you thought of looking on top of the platform. That was beginning to drag. Well played however, you are going to be a strong asset to the group. Laurk
