Reviews To Date for Mpskydog

Ariosh is a bitter fighter, but he‘s good to have in our party. He helped make short work of those ubiquitous shadow fiends that had a hate on for us.

Comments in reference to the character Ariosh Gauld a Human: (Add Comments Here) Although playing multiplayer without a dm has it‘s role play limitations, and considering we had only three players, this was one of the better sessions I‘ve had for a while. Mpskydog‘s playing raised the bar a bit with an excellent portrayal of a somewhat aloof, gruff and “cool“ exteriored, one-eyed fighter. For many rpers, an unlikeable personality comes easy, it‘s being able to play it in a way that is enjoyable for everyone else that seems to be so hard for some to grasp. Hat‘s off to MpSkyDog being able to pull off this style of personality and keep the game fun. This game was full of surprises from everyone and thoroughly enjoyable. Thanks all for a wonderful game! I look forward to more games with this crew :)

Comments in reference to the character Ariosh Gauld a Human: Brilliant, impressive, and absolutely hee-larious plan! Can‘t wait to see how the situation with Elvithrar pans out. Great job!

Comments in reference to the character Ariosh Gauld a Human: (Add Comments Here) Okay- the Romanov bit was probably the funniest thing that has happened all campaign. And it worked on many levels. His greed, vanity, and obliviousness were all lampooned in one gesture. But I also liked the big step backward Ariosh took when gassy Hamr got closer to him a lot. Always interesting to see the different tone the game takes with different player combos. This was one of the nicest nights of the game thus far. Thanks.

Comments in reference to the character Ariosh Gauld a Human: (Add Comments Here) Deflecting arrows! Disarming foes! Getting killed by Lynn! Well, that last one not so much, but a good outing nonetheless.

Comments in reference to the character Ariosh Gauld a Human: Arriosh was being himself this session for sure. And now he has a whip, though he seemed to like punching people this session for some reason.

[Mpskydog's reply to comment: Actually, Ariosh has always had a whip. He just hasn't used it in some time - last was our pre-dragon death sessions. And due to the high number of crossbow bolts flying towards us, what other choice but to fight unarmed did Ariosh have? After all, he cannot deflect arrows with a weapon in his hand. :) Honestly, one less arrow a round can be the difference between life or death. (ESPECIALLY WITH LYNN!)

Comments in reference to the character Ariosh Gauld a Human: It‘s great that a character that says so little, can somehow convey so much personality with all his quirks. Nice job.

Comments in reference to the character Ariosh Gauld a Human: (Add Comments Here) Nice comment about material-oriented Mercy. You did a lot this time to establish that Ari isn‘t just isolated from Mercy because of arbitrary divisions, but because he really is different from most of them in fundamental ways.

Comments in reference to the character Ariosh Gauld a Human: Ariosh was good as always, though I‘m still trying to figure out the “string“ thing....

[Mpskydog's reply to comment: Heheh. It's DEEP, REAL deep...

Comments in reference to the character Ariosh Gauld a Human: (Add Comments Here) I like that Ariosh‘s relatiopnship with Mercy seems to be changing slightly. Perhaps the reassignment reminds him that they aren‘t entirely in control of their destinys either.

Comments in reference to the character Ariosh Gauld a Human: Woah...add ‘spooky‘ to ‘gloomy‘. Am I the only one who finds the way Dog talks about the, uh, Dogs... damned creepy? Ari‘s sooo gonna go all on us one of these nights.
08/03/05
Comments in reference to the character Ariosh Gauld a Human: Ariosh is certainly having a small crisis of being in with Mercy, though is trying to adjust. It‘s pretty hard overall, I suppose his comerads just keep haunting him.

[Mpskydog's reply to comment: Heheh...you have no idea how right you are...

Comments in reference to the character Ariosh Gauld a Human: Tch. Ari, Ari, Ari... what to do with you. Ah, well. I‘ll think of something
07/28/05
Comments in reference to the character Ariosh Gauld a Human: Wow. Really wasn‘t expecting Ariosh to react the way he did to Nic‘s death. Then again, I wasn‘t expecting anyone to grab her body, either...hm. Very interesting.
07/28/05
Comments in reference to the character Ariosh Gauld a Human: (Add Comments Here) I liked that Ari, who doesn‘t have a lot of respecct for Mercy, was still more affected by Nicami‘s death than most of her other companions.

Comments in reference to the character Ariosh Gauld a Human: Perhaps Ari‘ll find common cause yet with Mercy. After all, EVERYONE loves a good priest-bashing... Nah. Loved the suspicion around the ‘gift‘. Hard to tell which Ari distrusts more, Magic or Lynn.
07/14/05
Comments in reference to the character Ariosh Gauld a Human: As usual, great RP from Ariosh.

Comments in reference to the character Ariosh Gauld a Human: (Add Comments Here) I‘m giving you the BiG. The interaction around Romanov and the line that “he only makes orphans“ really stood out in my mind. Nice.

Comments in reference to the character Ariosh Gauld a Human: as Lord Haverhill. Didn‘t see much of you ingame for various reasons. Seemed a rather fiery version of Pierce...

[Mpskydog's reply to comment: Heh...a shame I wasn't Haverhill - I was Paladinson. ;)

07/06/05
Comments in reference to the character Ariosh Gauld a Human: Hello Mr. Paladinson. Great job there Arry! Heh, wonder how Arry himself will feel now after having the whole righteousness thing going on.

Comments in reference to the character Ariosh Gauld a Human: Unwashed, uncivil, and now, undead.(?)
06/30/05
Comments in reference to the character Ariosh Gauld a Human: (Add Comments Here) I‘m consistently impressed with your focus on detailed roleplaying over character “power“ advancement. For example, going without armor while it was sticky and wet. Of course, it means you may end up on your arse a lot, but it‘s pretty impressive. BiG.
06/29/05
Comments in reference to the character Ariosh Gauld a Human: Ariosh made a good argument when Nica died the first time, but I think it‘s a futile effort with this bunch. Still, I doubt he‘ll ever keep his opinions to himself - and sometimes that is something to be admired. BiG.
06/29/05
Comments in reference to the character Ariosh Gauld a Human: Is Arry TRYING to end up in a leper colony like a very certain Cleric we had awhile back? Heh, great job.
06/09/05
Comments in reference to the character Ariosh Gauld a Human: (Add Comments Here). Extra surly points for being the first one given corporal punishment! There was a lock up for drunk and disorderly you missed, but youre the first one into the stocks! BiG

[Mpskydog's reply to comment: I...I...*dabs at his eyes* ...you love me, you really LOVE me!

Comments in reference to the character Ariosh Gauld a Human: Just *had* to open your mouth, didn‘t ya? Nicely played.

[Mpskydog's reply to comment: Of course I did - keeping it closed just felt...wrong, some how!

Comments in reference to the character Ariosh Gauld a Human: *snicker* Talk about needin‘ to take yer blinders off...

Comments in reference to the character Ariosh Gauld a Human: Ariosh definitely has his dark side. Although, running to the wrong log was a hoot.
06/02/05
Comments in reference to the character Ariosh Gauld a Human: (Add Comments Here) I like the gutsy choices in Ariosh‘s char build and the fact that he doesnt get swept into dungeon-mode easily. BiG. .... or should that be BPig?
06/01/05
Comments in reference to the character Ariosh Gauld a Human: Ariosh, you did great and it was fun but the main thing I have to say is. WRONG LOG!!!!! Heh.
06/01/05
Comments in reference to the character Ariosh Gauld a Human: Almost though we were gonna miss you tonight; glad you showed up. Now, if only your sense of direction was better...;)
05/26/05
Comments in reference to the character Ariosh Gauld a Human: Ariosh seems to have some more layers to him that are coming out. I suspect there is more to him than meets the eye, and perhaps we‘ll be finding out in future sessions? Nicely played.

[Mpskydog's reply to comment: Heheh...more to him than meets the 'eye' - that's great. I'm not sure if that was an intentional pun on Ariosh having only one eye or not, but even if it wasn't it was still worth a chuckle. Thanks for the compliments!

05/26/05
Comments in reference to the character Ariosh Gauld a Human: Ari‘s a bit of a loner... or perhaps he just isn‘t interested in being chummy with Mercy?
05/25/05
Comments in reference to the character Ariosh Gauld a Human: (Add Comments Here) Well done- and great post in the pre-28 thread.
05/25/05
Comments in reference to the character Ariosh Gauld a Human: Ariosh was in top form tonight, though he seemed grumpier than usual at the end. Ah well, the pit affected us all differently. I‘m sure we‘ll learn something in time.

Comments in reference to the character Ariosh Gauld a Human: Wondering what Arry saw in the caves. Seems to be bothering him abit, Good job.
05/19/05
Comments in reference to the character Ariosh Gauld a Human: Great character that really adds to the immersion. Ariosh almost feels like a real living, breathing person, the way he is played.
05/19/05
Comments in reference to the character Ariosh Gauld a Human: (Add Comments Here). I liked the little details and descriptions of actions. I also like the unusual character build. curious to see how hard-bitten ‘Arry‘ gets along with free-wheeling Mercy and arcane-scum like Garchy

[Mpskydog's reply to comment: ...I would do -fine- if you would stop adding that insufferable 'Y' to the end of everyone's names! :)

Comments in reference to the character Ariosh Gauld a Human: You really make the best out of Ariosh‘s differences with Mercy. Good job.

Comments in reference to the character Ariosh Gauld a Human: What kinda bleedin‘ hearts are coming out of Dog Company these days? Your NCO says frag the kid, you frag the kid, capiche?! *g* First sesh, and ‘arry‘s looking like he might inject a little morality into our freewheeling group. Oh, the horror.

NO SHOW Not sure if this was because of a pre-game technical error on my part or not. No explanation so far.

[Mpskydog's reply to comment: This NO SHOW was explained the next day: I was on vacation and the local dialup refused to let me connect.

Comments in reference to the character Ariosh Gauld a Human: Awesome character. Really brought a rugged, dark feel to Ariosh. Oh - and nice job with finding those traps ;)
