Comments in reference to the character Shady a Gnome: A bit on the rude side, Shady adds a great touch to the team. It‘s nice to have someone along who likes to pick at others shortcomings and add color to what‘s going on. I don‘t think his name is all that great, but... who really cares about that?!!! :)
I look forward to seeing Shady in action. What‘s behind the persona? Can‘t wait to find out!

Comments in reference to the character Shady a Gnome: Crazy gnome mages! “I‘ll colorspray the Land Shark!“ great idea, cept it‘d probably do nothing.
Still, have to say he was one of the funniest guys I‘ve seen, what with the dice addiction and stealing food from the halfling. Keep up the good work.

Comments in reference to the character Palinos Dawn a Human: Palinos is the stuffy one of the group so far. He is upstanding, he prays... a lot... and he is well-spoken and intelligent. All in all, a very helpful addition to the group, and it helps having someone with their head on their shoulders around some of the other party members. - Anya

Once again the curmudgeonly old druid took up the leadership reins and helped to drive the party forward, whilst dispensing wisdom and complaints in seemingly equal measure. I love his sparky dialogue, especially with Emily, the young wisewoman... or should that be “the brat“? BiG performance once again. Great game Boomer.

Comments in reference to the character Fredrick Ferns a human: Quite an interesting old man. “Ancient“ they say, yet the best fighter out of all of us (so far). His interactions with Emily are a hoot, so I‘m glad to be part of the group and see how things develop. ~Anya

Fred: Definitely a BIG job of charming the goblin king and asking all the right questions. Fred is a treat.
|
|
|
 |

Fred: Some of the best comedy is in the reactions. For a campaign session that was like some Seinfeld episode, essentially about nothing, Fred was definitely George to Emily‘s Kramer. Well played and deserving of the BIG.

Comments in reference to the character Fredrick Ferns a human: Sometimes it is the little things that shows all of the different sides of a character. From Fred‘s frustration with Emily as she announced to the world in general that he wanted to sell her to gypsies, to how he handled the extremely well-watered whiskey (“I see the Light! No, wait, that‘s the lantern“), Fred rolled with the punches. Delightfully played!

Doctor Baron a Psychiatrist: A great game, with the Doc seeming to take on more of a leaders role. The whole team worked really well but the RPing of a chainsaw wielding psychiatrist, as he carved up zombie-like research centre staff and aliens alike, was absolutely brilliant. BiG.

Another wonderful performance of the curmudgeonly old druid from Boomer. He‘s too old and his back hurts when it comes to hauling an old chest out of the ruins, but not so slow when it comes to some fine vintage wine. Shame the bottles and kegs were all dry.... and why did he push that poor little girl into the magical barrier? Good job it wasn‘t an aura of withering.

Although the campaign had many strong performances, Boomer‘s grizzled Sergeant often stole the show for me. Boomer clearly enjoyed playing this character to the hilt, and his gruff, blunt, disciplinarian manner made him both hilarious and completely believable as the Sergeant determined to keep his squad together in the face of strange new threats.

Comments in reference to the character Fredrick Ferns a human: A momentous first session with Frederick. He‘s a curmudgeonly old so-and-so who‘s found someone to butt heads with in the form of the ascerbic elf Kraevin. Comments in reference to the character Rusty Nails a Human: Best-in-game. You rocked this session! Great lines, great ethical choices in tough situations. They pushed us beyond our breaking point. You had the guts to act with your heart and soul. I respect that. We‘ll have to find an honorable solution out of this like I suggested with my post; but, I don‘t know what it is beyond surrendering ourselves. Still, you showed that we have a heart and soul and can‘t be pushed around indefinitely. Thank you.

Comments in reference to the character Boomer Trapticker a Halfling: I‘m sad the group hasn‘t given Boomer much chance to use his traps in planning and combat. I‘d really like to see how traps can be useful, as I‘ve never managed it myself.

Highly appropriate for a bard. :) I love characters that make me laugh and I highly enjoyed Wilks‘ cheeky personality. I also appreciated the valuable tactical/gameplay ideas you gave to the party. You know... I also think El‘sibeth was warming up a little at the end towards Wilks. ;) She seems to ‘tolerate‘ Wilks presence. *grin* A step forward, no? Comments in reference to the character Freddy Baron a Human: Excellent work playing sort of the suspected ‘bad‘ guy of our game, but you also hinted at something deeper going on underneath the surface and your background suggests as much. Freddy initally came off as a rather unpleasant fellow, but gradually became almost sort of ‘one of the crew‘ as evidenced by Nathan‘s surprise that you were only our passenger. A character that provided some necessary drama and conflict to the game.

Comments in reference to the character Freddy Baron a Human: (Add Comments Here) A thoroughly fun yet also distasteful fellow, this Mr. Baron. His levity and low-key attitude was evident, but when pushed to a certain extent it was like his military insincts kicked in and everything was offered on a ‘need-to-know‘ basis. It‘s a shame we didn‘t have time to explore some of this further, especially with the slaves at the depot.

Comments in reference to the character Simon Flipside a Half-orc: Boomer is such a good roleplayer, that you need to make sure you don‘t take him for granted. Despite his character‘s apparent selfish motivations, Simon has really been the one of the driving forces in the group, and has emerged as a real leader. At the same time, he cracks me up laughing every session with some of Simon‘s antics and comments.

Comments in reference to the character Simon Flipside a Half-orc: Simon continues to have me laughing during our sessions. Most interesting was to see his reaction to losing Sissfus. Quite interesting to see the side of him that spearheaded the effort to try to bring Sissfus back. Then, his farewell to Sissfus was quite in character - a matter-of-fact goodbye with only a hint of sentiment, and then immediately trying to figure out how to divide up Sissfus‘ stuff . . . Great stuff.

Comments in reference to the character Wilks Wildfire a Halfelf: Ahh, Wilks, very sorry I am that I could not take you on a wilderness stroll, I think Kat would have much appreciated a wild red rose . . .
I am still baffled how it is a mild rebuke to a beggar child earned me an evenings stay in Demoraz‘s prison. I wonder how it is you recounted the incident?
Or was it only becuase I openly mocked the guards . . .
In any case I am sorry for any inconvieniece you may have suffered.

Comments in reference to the character Wilks Wildfire a Halfelf: Wow Wilks, you exude half-elven bard. Are you related to Maglor? No you are fairer then he. Good luck on your journies fair Bard. Remember to keep your head about you though that may be challenging. Your place is to care for the spirits of your companions, to keep them light of heart. It is an important task, not one to be taken lightly. Take care of my friends for me. Take care of Justy, Hold and all... please. I will be thinking of you on my own travels.
Thank you for the pleasure of playing in your game.

Comments in reference to the character Slag a Half-orc: Great roleplaying Boomer. You were trying to think of ways to escape from the very first minute, and indeed you got very close to escaping. Should have just follow the halfling‘s idea and make a run for it, avoiding the guards. I‘m still surprised you didn‘t whack the halfling when you had the chance though. :) - FP

Comments in reference to the character Slag a Half-orc:
Slag struck me as being the most straightforward of all the inmates. That doesn‘t mean he was a bad character, but it did make him somewhat predictable. Nonetheless, his portrayal was excellent; the grizzled thug who will smash anybody who gets in his way. Slag came up with some interesting ideas too, such as the rope with a hook (not sure what you wanted to do with that) and the femur as a club. I get the impression that something further was to happen with Slag, but time constraints put a stop to that.
I greatly enjoyed playing with you, and would gladly join another game in the future!

But it seems Wilks is starting to assume a very important role in the group, of helping Justi. I hope it works out for both of them. Comments in reference to the character Dupré a Human: Good game from Dupré in anticipation of the Honor sub-story. Remember to play an active part in the sessions to come in regards to the moral choices ahead. Most the choices the the group will be making up ahead concern Dupré‘s chosen virtue of Honor in one way or another and he is therefore likely to want a say in their decisions. Can Dupré bring a semblance of Honor to a culture in which there is none?

Comments in reference to the character Toby Tallwillow a Halfling: Toby is one neat character. The prototypical halfling in many ways, lost in a world too big for him.
I loved Toby‘s interaction with the rest of the party. He really adds a lot to the campaign. And great reaction to the Wild Magic.
On another note...the use of the Scare spell at the second Coyote encounter was classic and made a hard encounter almost easy for the group. Nice Work!

Palinos had a rough time of it this week. Seems we‘re falling in droves faster than the cleric can keep up. Don‘t beat yourself up too much because of it - how many low level clerics have rods of resurrection from their temple, anyway?

His player does a good job of portraying someone who‘s a bit stuck in the middle of something he doesn‘t approve of, but also doesn‘t feel right abandoning. He also manages to come off as both exasperated with and fond of the rest of his party - a difficult mix to master. Great game!

Palinos does a good job as the only healer of this big bunch - might pay for one of the rest of us to take a few healing levels in the long run to help out. I don't remember seeing him use his Turn Undead spell against the undead, but maybe I missed it. The moral and somewhat uptight character is always great fun, and his player does a great job as healer. Good game!

Thanks for letting me into this one session of your campaign. Fredrick was a neat character. I really enjoyed his slightly aggravated interaction with the other members of the party. I didn't get a great sense of what exactly a druid was doing there wandering around with an overtly evil group of people, but I'll give you a mulligan since I was showing up in the middle. (^_-) I liked our little argument too. Good game! - Gruush

------------------------- Great game, ancient one. Your antics and commentary, although almost getting you killed, were priceless. Your irreverance towards the new cleric and her god made the rest of hte group even more independant. And your animal form is sure to sooth and comfort the Queen of Demoraz, making her less of a threat to the party. BiG.......
