From Fred‘s frustration with Emily as she announced to the world in general that he wanted to sell her to gypsies, to how he handled the extremely well-watered whiskey (“I see the Light! No, wait, that‘s the lantern“), Fred rolled with the punches. Delightfully played!

Doctor Baron a Psychiatrist: A great game, with the Doc seeming to take on more of a leaders role. The whole team worked really well but the RPing of a chainsaw wielding psychiatrist, as he carved up zombie-like research centre staff and aliens alike, was absolutely brilliant. BiG.

Another wonderful performance of the curmudgeonly old druid from Boomer. He‘s too old and his back hurts when it comes to hauling an old chest out of the ruins, but not so slow when it comes to some fine vintage wine. Shame the bottles and kegs were all dry.... and why did he push that poor little girl into the magical barrier? Good job it wasn‘t an aura of withering.

Although the campaign had many strong performances, Boomer‘s grizzled Sergeant often stole the show for me. Boomer clearly enjoyed playing this character to the hilt, and his gruff, blunt, disciplinarian manner made him both hilarious and completely believable as the Sergeant determined to keep his squad together in the face of strange new threats.

This session, I noticed Boomer‘s OOC humor more than usual, and found it a bit distracting. Then again, the whole group seemed to be winding down in this last session of a long campaign.

Comments in reference to the character Freddy Baron a Human: Excellent work playing sort of the suspected ‘bad‘ guy of our game, but you also hinted at something deeper going on underneath the surface and your background suggests as much. Freddy initally came off as a rather unpleasant fellow, but gradually became almost sort of ‘one of the crew‘ as evidenced by Nathan‘s surprise that you were only our passenger. A character that provided some necessary drama and conflict to the game.

His levity and low-key attitude was evident, but when pushed to a certain extent it was like his military insincts kicked in and everything was offered on a ‘need-to-know‘ basis. It‘s a shame we didn‘t have time to explore some of this further, especially with the slaves at the depot.

Quite interesting to see the side of him that spearheaded the effort to try to bring Sissfus back. Then, his farewell to Sissfus was quite in character - a matter-of-fact goodbye with only a hint of sentiment, and then immediately trying to figure out how to divide up Sissfus‘ stuff . . . Great stuff.
