Reviews To Date for Boomer
07/13/08
Once again the curmudgeonly old druid took up the leadership reins and helped to drive the party forward, whilst dispensing wisdom and complaints in seemingly equal measure. I love his sparky dialogue, especially with Emily, the young wisewoman... or should that be “the brat“? BiG performance once again. Great game Boomer.

Fred: Another great game as Fred steps into the leader role. And wonderful play-by-play with the dwarf.

Another wonderful performance by Boomer of the acerbic old grouch, Frederick Ferns. A pleasure and a privilege to game with.

Comments in reference to the character Fredrick Ferns a human: Quite an interesting old man. “Ancient“ they say, yet the best fighter out of all of us (so far). His interactions with Emily are a hoot, so I‘m glad to be part of the group and see how things develop. ~Anya

Fred: Definitely a BIG job of charming the goblin king and asking all the right questions. Fred is a treat.

Fred: Some of the best comedy is in the reactions. For a campaign session that was like some Seinfeld episode, essentially about nothing, Fred was definitely George to Emily‘s Kramer. Well played and deserving of the BIG.

Comments in reference to the character Fredrick Ferns a human: Sometimes it is the little things that shows all of the different sides of a character. From Fred‘s frustration with Emily as she announced to the world in general that he wanted to sell her to gypsies, to how he handled the extremely well-watered whiskey (“I see the Light! No, wait, that‘s the lantern“), Fred rolled with the punches. Delightfully played!

Fred Fern: This character is always a delight. Always a quip, a pithy remark that keeps the game fun. But Fred also contributes when the back‘s against it. Well played.

Another wonderful performance of the curmudgeonly old druid from Boomer. He‘s too old and his back hurts when it comes to hauling an old chest out of the ruins, but not so slow when it comes to some fine vintage wine. Shame the bottles and kegs were all dry.... and why did he push that poor little girl into the magical barrier? Good job it wasn‘t an aura of withering.

Comments in reference to the character Fredrick Ferns a human: Well played. Always dependable frontline character.

Comments in reference to the character Fredrick Ferns a human: Fred speaks his mind which is both funny and annoying. Very good rebukes against those that try to contradict his positions.

Comments in reference to the character Fredrick Ferns a human: A momentous first session with Frederick. He‘s a curmudgeonly old so-and-so who‘s found someone to butt heads with in the form of the ascerbic elf Kraevin. Strangely, it seems like he‘s always been a part of the group and it‘s just that he has not been around all the time. I look forward to seeing how things develop.

Comments in reference to the character Fredrick Ferns a human: (Add Comments Here)It was nice to meet a new player this week. I‘m still getting a feel for the new character. It was well played and a good addition to the group.

Fredrick: Wonderful! What a perfect foil for Kraevin‘s scarcasm. I can see that the smart-mouth and the grumpy ole man are going to butt heads for sessions to come. Welcome and well played!
