Reviews To Date for Andy

Comments in reference to the character Nalen Neidorf a Human: Nalen is a real complicated character. His opinions and his narrow view of the outside world often get him into trouble. Nevertheless, he is an interesting character to watch. Let‘s just hope that next time he makes a rash decision it doesn‘t get us all killed.

[Andy's reply to comment: Thanks for the feedback. No rash decision-making here. I believe that events made clear that the ship's crew intended to sell us to the pirates regardless of what we did. Only by taking the action I did would have been at least somewhat possible to escape their clutches.

Nalen Neidorf a Human: Good use of magic to support the party in some difficult scraps. Enjoyed observing your PCs interaction with the rest of the party; good RP.

Comments in reference to the character Anderis Allston a Human: (Add Comments Here) Andy runs a really good game, as I have reviewed him already, I will just leave a comment. The mod was a little short and was a little less then I was expecting but the players made it very fun to play. Thanks alot for hosting these games Andy.

Comments in reference to the character Colvin of St. Cuthbert a Human: (Add Comments Here) Thanks for raising the dead party members. Colvin‘s role as reconciler and even temper helps to balance out this party. The subtle tensions between him and Nal create a bubble-like surface tension that holds the party together. With the demons his calmer head prevailed and prevented a bad situation.

From the journal of ‘Amion‘. This paladin of Cuthbert,.....a likeable sort, but a little too...sheep-like? Why I scarcely see the need for one, let alone three gods. His sense of order is to be much respected, despite his preoccupation with goody-ness.

Comments in reference to the character Colvin of St. Cuthbert a Human: (Add Comments Here) As always, Colvin is a quite believable, likeable but stern, effective cleric. Several nice roleplaying touches in this session - lots of nice praying and declarations of faith (particularly when confronted by nightmares and wraiths sent by Nerull!).

Comments in reference to the character Colvin of St. Cuthbert a Human: (Add Comments Here) Colvin is a pivotal member of the party. We‘ve all been together from the beginning and it has been a blast, thanks for the game. Good game last night!

Comments in reference to the character Colvin of St. Cuthbert a Human: (Add Comments Here) Colvin is an important part of the group and the group is not as strong without this cahracter. Andy has been with the group from the beginning and fills an important role in the group as a whole. Thanks for sticking with us and staying with us. Things have been getting better with the campaign for the last couple of weeks and the campaign party is really starting to come together with the new characters/players and the original players all sticking with it. Thanks Andy for a great campaign.

Comments in reference to the character Colvin of St. Cuthbert a Human: (Add Comments Here) Great job with roleplaying the stern cleric of Saint Cuthbert; lack of tolerance for monsters was handled well, and Colvin kept the party together and focused as usual.
08/23/03
Comments in reference to the character Colvin of St. Cuthbert a Human: (Add Comments Here) Well, you wanted a review, but it‘s hard to review when you leave early. I like playing with Colvin- you are a good roleplayer and Colvin is an interesting character. I can‘t say much good or bad besides this except you really need to start staying for the entire game. The good characteristics you bring to the group are counterbalanced by your not staying for entire games and not being reliable for the campaign. It‘d help the campaign a lot if you showed up more often to games so we have more continuity. I understand having to go to work early (I also had to the next day) but then either stay for the entire game and go in anyway or don‘t sign up. Often the party starts with enough players and ends up with too few. Positive party dynamics often revolve around the party being together on a regular basis. When a character doesn‘t show up often, it has a negative affect on the rest of the group. We like playing with Colvin, we just wish he‘d be more reliable for the campaign and stay for entire games.

[Andy's reply to comment: Well, sorry, but I joined with the thinking that "something is better than nothing". I did state on the board prior to game I'd have to leave early, since a 5am wake-up is kind of hard if I play until midnight, as planned. My exit was rather well done, if I must say so myself, and "in character". Role-playing is fun but reality has its way of effecting the amount of time I have to play. I suppose I'll have to try harder next time.

Comments in reference to the character Colvin of St. Cuthbert a Human: (Add Comments Here) Lot of confusion at the start of the game when Colvin rejoined the group...always hard to bring two groups together. After that, Colvin did an excellent job trying to maintain party teamwork and sanity, in keeping with his character. Displayed some empathy for innocent creatures, as well.
06/29/03
Comments in reference to the character Colvin of St. Cuthbert a Human: (Add Comments Here) Colvin is played as a truly Lawful follower of St. Cuthbert. Often trying to lead the party however would create awkward moments because instead of following what the party wants, he'd try to impose his will and choose our path for us. Sometimes people have to loosen up a little and just let gameplay flow intead of trying to

Comments in reference to the character Colvin of St. Cuthbert a Human: Good diplomatic leadership skills.
05/24/03
Character Played: Colvin of St. Cuthbert (Human) : ------------------------------ I gave you best in game for consistant roleplay and good suggestions. I could have used a little more healing; but, that's hard to notice when my portrait was shown below all the others, because I was the 6th party member in the list. I had to log out a few times due to glitches in NWN. Hugs, cya next week. - JL
05/19/03
Character Played: Colvin of St. Cuthbert (Human): ------------------------- As usual, Colvin did an excellent job of pulling the group together. This time, in particular, people in the group were shepherded where required (and kept from harm's way where possible). Roleplaying was particularly fun, as Colvin dealt with a potential new recruit to Saint Cuthbert.

HA! this guy decides to take an old beggar up to a monastery and drop him off, despite the party's ambivalence and uncharitable nature. Way to play a Cleric the way they ought to be played, tho, you almost got the poor old beggar killed..hehe. Character Played: Darrian of St. Cuthbert (Human): -------------------------

04/15/03
Character Played: Darrian of St. Cuthbert (Human): -------------------------Did a great job RPing very much the "Were going to save the world today" with beggars at least….but didn’t seem consistently caring or protecting of the group **cough cough** like leaving a Barbarian behind.
04/15/03
Character Played: Darrian of St. Cuthbert (Human): ------------------------- I quite enjoyed how you brought the beggar along with you, trying to convert him and cure him of his tendancies. In retrospect, it would have done more for your role in the plot if the hobgoblins had captured him... It was a nice spontaneous development for a one shot game. Too bad you had to leave early, but such is life. I can't believe you guys left Lundy behind :) -DM Whistler
04/15/03
Character Played: Darrian of St. Cuthbert (Human): ------------------------- The sole voice of reason. Very nice job of roleplaying in a one-shot, which is tough. Managed to keep the group together despite some peculiar personalities. Nice touch praying to St. Cuthbert before resting.
04/12/03
Character Played: Colvin of St. Cuthbert ---------------------------------------- Awesome diplomacy skills with the Prince and his guards. Not sure why you guys fought the mephits; but that didn't involve me.

Character Played: Colvin of St. Cuthbert (Human): ------------------------- Andy's NPC diplomacy made the adventure move along nicely.
04/02/03
Character Played: Glendur Gulein (Elf): ------------------------- Played Glendur very much like a haughty elf, and the banter he had going with Denali was a lot of fun to watch. Wandered off on his own a bit sometimes, and besmirched those around him (very in character). Fair, worked well with others, and responded to his environment. Nice game!

Great job getting the party motivated for the second session. Cool character.
01/17/03
Thanks for a fun game.
01/17/03
Glendur had another good night, but I was confused a bit by his behavior. He seemed to switch from a shifty rogue to a much nicer guy, and that was a little hard to reconcile. Maybe I need a few more adventures with him to really understand. Still, Glendur is a great adventurer and a great character, would play with him again in a heartbeat!
01/10/03
Colvin as leader kept the party moving along well (not easy to do with six party members who like to scatter to the four winds!) In particular, he was generous with new members of the group.
01/10/03
On a tough night of gaming, I'm giving the nod to Glendur on Best in Game. We struggled mightily with conflict between the players, so I don't think anyone thought it was a great night of gaming. Glendur was his old shifty self, though perhaps not as shifty as when we last met. As I said, last night didn't offer the best opportunities for role-playing...
01/10/03
Thanks for a great game.
