Nizelfiana (BwB: Session 1)
Hehe ‘t was great playing with you Louise, as always. Nizel was a very cheery, happy person. Her first ideas about Blackwater Bay suprised me. I wouldn‘t even think that she came there for a “Play“ until she said it. Basicly it was heaps of fun!
Beware for those men watching the “Blackwater Bay Play“!
Greets!

- Miv a Moss Elf -
While a bit of a background character at the moment, Miv never-ending curiousity and will to explore never fades. Just next time give a quick DM message if you plan to go scouting a bit. The looks back‘n‘forth between the monks was fun. Thanks.

Comments in reference to the character Miv a Elf: Dear Miv! I think she has found a friend in Kerela, and I am very glad for it. At least you both didn‘t argue as much this session as you used to!
I have not been as close to either of you, because, of course, my character isn‘t sure anymore what to think about you and Kerela at all.
He is in hardly a situation to dive into it lately - with Dragons and Prison Bars greeting his nightmarish dreams and haunting is daily thoughts, now. ;-)
Miv is simply a superb character, but is out of her environment and seeking a purpose for involving herself with the affairs of a world she doesn‘t even know.
I am very interested in what happens now with her. But then, I am every week. :)

Comments in reference to the character Vivian O‘Donell a Human: Superlative example of a cleric in play, not as a walking healing machine, but as a true example of their deity. Great stuff regarding the pledge with the goblin - really added a longevity to the character that lasted beyond the one-off game.

- Vivian O‘Donell -
Oh, gosh. With the team getting wiped-out twice (almost third :) ) you dealed with it well I must say. (Those berserker sure did lot of crit. hits!)
Other than that, it was fun seeing someone care for the poor goblin (taking his body outside and all). Also well. . .I noticed you can put aside IC and OOC well, at least of what I experienced.

Comments in reference to the character Miv a Elf: What can you say about Miv? One of the more original characters I‘ve seen in a long time and a difficult one at that, portrayed with consistency and accuracy. The triangle with Kerela, Sam and Miv continues to grow and the tensions between Kerela and Miv are great opportunities for RP. Super stuff.

Comments in reference to the character Freja Vildrose a Human: Nice job with the barbarian lost in civilization! I was pleasantly surprised, from her relating the inn to a barbarian circle of commons, to the aversion to wizards from a previous experience with a tribe war. Nice going, and well roleplayed. I‘m just sorry that you can‘t make our Sunday sessions anymore. You are definately a player I‘d like to keep up with. [Dark Horse]

Thanks for missing out on some sleep and making the game. It’s sad to see you go but I‘ve enjoyed playing with you. You‘re one of those players that is very easy to roleplay with as you always seem to be on the same page and give me good opportunities for roleplay myself (the “nudge“ through the portal). Great work with having Freja figure that puzzle out in character - I couldn‘t really have had Ori correctly solved that one (or did I just forget how knights moved) :) Great game (BIG) - Vual

Fantastic stuff! My only complaint is that you can‘t join us every Sunday. Loved the little touches, an extreme fear of magic (throughout the game - some players get over their fears instantaneously) and the inexperience of your PC was fun to watch. Very good game and hope to play with you again - Vual

Comments in reference to the character Miv (an Elf): Louise, I am glad I had the chance to game with you again! Miv is a wonderful character... that her new experiences need to ‘fit‘ somehow into her old life with the Moss Elves is a great touch. Her grandfather‘s stories... priceless!

Comments in reference to the character Miv a Elf: Miv seemed a little overwhelmed and confused by events, and clearly Visha‘s decision to stay behind has caused Miv grief.

Comments in reference to the character Miv a Elf: I‘ve really enjoyed Miv‘s addition to the group, ever since Voran pushed for her recruitement. Miv comes across as a real, caring, solid character. To use a Star Trek analogy, I see her as the Data of the group - the alien being used to expose our own weaknesses and strength‘s via providing a niave, alien culture perspective. I think she is essential to the group in ever sense. Excellent.

Comments in reference to the character Miv a Elf: I really enjoy the way you stay in character. I really didn‘t want you to leave our group, and was thinking so hard about what could make you stay. I tried to get the Dwarves to cater to you a bit by enticing you with a reward other than gold - but it went by the wayside. That made it even tougher for me!!
The entire sequence there helped me to learn a lot about Miv. She sees things a lot differently than Sam does.
I also loved the way you cooked your own meal at the tavern. Very well played!

Comments in reference to the character Miv a Elf: Louise‘s roleplaying heavily contributed to the feeling that Miv was an outsider to the group, which was a nice touch considering her background and appearance. Everything from her motivation to help the Thane and even her cooking helped set her apart. Hopefully my character will finally start getting to know her next session, and maybe sample some of her cooking. :)

Comments in reference to the character Miv a Elf: As you put your arrow in my back when I first met you, I knew you were someone I could trust. *funny as that sounds, its how a rogue thinks* With that said, Samlin is very protective of you. That is why when those jerk Drow started licking their lips, he swallowed his fear of them and challenged them on it. Once that started, he couldn‘t back down in front of you - because Sam knows you are courageous and he would be a weakling in front of you if he backed out.
Luck was on our side, and we didn‘t die - but Sam was quite happy to change armor with the Dark Dwarf later on... his leather was quite sweaty with fear.
You have a great character, and I hope we have a lot of fun as time goes on.

Comments in reference to the character Miv an Elf: I enjoyed the perspective Miv brought to the game, and I thought you portrayed her racial qualities and lack of knowledge about some of the common things in the outside world very well.
You did very well in the scene with the Drow, I sensed that Miv was using all her willpower to restrain herself, especially given that she was a target. Well Done.

Comments in reference to the character Pip Pallimba a Halfling:
Oh, great fun. Interesting to meet, fun to RP with, great all round. (Adapted very well to not being able to use Sleep spells throughout the adventure, without breaking the character‘s pacifism - which was great to see and RP with, by the way.)
Love to play with you again some time.
Actually, you were so much fun it caused me one problem - I normally play very talkative mages, Ransom was a deliberate attempt to play a friendly but humourless silent type for a change. So I kept thinking of great responses to some of the jokes, and then having to not do them. Darn ;)

Comments in reference to the character Pip Pallimba a Halfling: With a great group it is difficult to choose BIG, but Pip helped this by creating a character who had a definate, deep personality, that game out well in a short adventure. A difficult thing to do, but one that really made me want to play and learn more about the character. Definately someone I would look forward to playing with in a long-term campaign. A very nice job!

Comments in reference to the character Pip Pallimba a Halfling: Played a very good supporting character, managed to make an effective and great mage without once using attack spells and stuck wholeheartedly to her background and roleplayed to the end. Nice character, an interesting approach to the scout/rogue role that could work very well indeed. ------------------------- Freja speaks idiomatic Uthgart so well... every sentence she spoke was perfect. Once again, excellently roleplayed. Louise was true to Freja's Uthgar blood and origin, favouring, quite often, realism and roleplay instead of "meta-teamworking", which is a hard, but great thing. Remarkable also the touching interplay between her, bearer of a strong hatred towards Orcs, and Anaron, a good-hearted, though scarred by a biased world, half-elf/half-orc. Best in game. -- Brenno.

This is possibly the best played character I've had the fortune to play with on NWC, or anywhere else. Louise has the full range from blissfully happy and naive to somber, quiet and distraught. Sniffy has become a focal point for some of the best RP within a great, but disrupted group, and I particularly enjoyed the last few sessions where Sniffy's caring side and vulnerable side have shone through. This is one player a cut above the rest IMO.

Character Played: Anizcka (Human): Best in game (out of a pretty good group!). Great roleplaying and in-game/in-character subtle references to character history. Plus, if I could give an 11 for problem-solving I would, 'cause Ani was the only one able to figure out various clues (although I should then probably subtract 10 from her, and everybody else's, including my own, score for our complete inability to find a non-hidden set of stairs - D'oh!). Only negative comment, and reason why RP isn't a ten, is because Ani, and most of the other players, somewhat took advantage of a weakness in the game engine to calmly loot a room while a horde of skeletons that had already attacked once stood right around the corner. Seemed unrealistic to me, and when the DM took control of the skeletons and moved them around the corner to finish the attack, the party wasn't prepared. Still, only a momentary lapse in an otherwise great game, and I look forward to another session with Ani.

Excellently portraited tiefling. Some grieves though:
You came to late, and did not even excuse for it. You sometimes did not listen when the rules were explained. And character wise, you were distracting a bit often in "important" dialogues. You get enough chances to portray your character, but I suggest not to distract in those really, really important dialogues ( Lord <=> Guard Scene ) - Shinji -

Character Played: Alea D'Ann-Xin'Zin (Tiefling): Great Roleplaying, and a good character concept. The character sort of reminds me of the other Sigil Tiefling, Annah (From Planescape) Just sort of, it's not a copy at all. My guess is that Alea is with the sensation seekers, am I right?
Anyway, though Pirkan was real nervous around Alea in the start, he is starting to get more confiden't around her now... witch is fairly fast for his case....

Character Played: Sniffy Tickle-Toe (Gnome):
-------------------------
Sniffy is possibly the best-played, most complete and rounded character I've played with... her constant wonder at the surface world - and the stupid, non-light ritual seeing surfacers that walk it - is a joy to see. Equally i adored your playing of the crypt scene where Sniffy could not stay while the sarcophagi were opened. Not to mention her catching a fish in her armour :) lol :)

Character Played: Sniffy Tickle-Toe (Gnome):
-------------------------
Louise continually impresses me. Just when you think you have seen it all... she finds something else for me to laugh about. When she decided she had to berate her summoned creature because it worked for Liz had me dying...it was rp'd so well, and her attempts to be mean just hysterical....You would believe that it was the hardest thing she ever had to do. She never misses a beat or opportunity to rp her naive, but wonderful, character. She's a player who really puts FUN into the game. I'm glad we have Sniffy, and more glad that Louise is playing her.

Playing with her was a joy. Her role playing of a gnome, oblivious to the social rules and general regulations of Topside was endearing and well done. I would love to play/DM for her at some point again in the future.

I know you consider Treenity a problem to roleplay, but I felt you did an incredible job with her. To the very end of the game, even your departure felt in character! I loved the "lesson" you gave Izara about summoning the familiar and your interactions with your bear. Look forward to playing with you again some day. ardiel

Wish I could have talked more to Treenity. (Pugh's got a genuine intrest for elves you know) Loved the Summoning-teaching scene between Treenity and Izara though, and Pugh really hopes to see the bear again... -Aragorn

One word: Molumba! The bear was great. Very good usage of emotes with your familiar made me wish I had one too. The others too moody? No worries, I'll talk with my familiar :) Also teaching Izara how to summon the "dragon" was hilarious. Had to leave little early but that was handled totally in char. Overall a very solid performance despite the given facts (connection problems, everyone seeming little disoriented). -Tom

Now while all are good roleplayers, she was the only one also doing a bit of roleplaying her class. Thus, best in game.

Sniffy never ceases to amuse me. Her absolute desire to keep the possesion of the gem, even though it meant crossing the Lord, was just too much! I really wanted to hang her by the ankles and shake her upside down. :)

I know she had difficulties playing the druid role but still she did a great job! I wish the dms allow her to change the char as I know she can do even better with a more suitable char. You're great Louise, hang in there! -Tom

I know you feel you weren't roleplaying a druid well, but I can't see how you could have done better! Arrogant portrayal of an elf and druid, who considers humans to be less valuable than anything natural. Had some great disagreements, perfectly in character. ardiel

Excellent role player. I really bought that she was an Elvish druid, first time I've been able to say that since I started DMing here. I wish the party had scouted Sembia better, but I realize you were being rushed along by the guard. That wasn't really intentional, but we had a short session. Overall excellent and was just a hair shy of best player in game, and there are some great players here. I look for big, big things from this player. ~Aas

This is probably the most sane character in this group, think she might have made a great leader, if she tried.

Treenity has her own set of goals and ambitions, and follows through on them, even though they might go against the rest of the party (which is a positive thing, and hard to do). A very believable druid, lots of great emotes and comments relating to the natural world.

A star in my eyes. The must fun player in the group, always full of in character actions tempting trouble whenever possible. Look forward to more underworld Gnomish behaviour. Top player.
