Reviews To Date for AlexanderFrost

Comments in reference to the character Cristof Roivas a Human: Playing a believable elderly, peacemaker, strangely innocent, paranoid wandering scholar with a (slightly tarnished) silver tongue would probably have earned BIG from me. Probably. Add in an unexplained tome which he clutched like a stuffed toy all throughout the game, then put to extraordinary use in the last minute, and how could I not give you BIG? Simply an amazing character, all the more so for being almost ordinary in the context of this group, yet remaining both memorable and unique. Definitely hope to play with you again. --Lili

Comments in reference to the character Cristof Roivas a Human: (Add Comments Here)Frosty returns after a long hiatus, and he hasn‘t lost a step! Whew..what a job poor Cristof had...I thought the poor old man was going to throw himself from the mountain! :) Exceptional job, as par for Frosty...seeing him scream and use his Tome to transform into a killing machine at the end was awe-inspiring..one of his many great moments!

Comments in reference to the character Cristof Roivas a Human: Best old fart I have EVER seen played. I want to see more of him played. Again and again.

Comments in reference to the character Lioden Xilo‘ness a Eshin‘Kar: We had an important goal with pressure, so the interaction was a bit limited to the progress of the mission, so my comments are limited. You stayed IC and were involved to the group, and you picked up the role of peacekeeper very well, when the quarrels amids us started. :) It is damn good to see you back on NWC, and I still would like to finish the Ghosts of Karmaine (sp?) Cheers - Play Mate

Comments in reference to the character Lioden Xilo‘ness a Eshin‘Kar: Would have liked to have seen more of Lioden‘s actions, but other commitments precluded it. From what I saw, he showed not only strong but creative roleplaying, making his character come alive with his own views and concerns, while at the same time making a valuable contribution to the party. The relationship with the familiar was particularly well done. His enthusiasm for roleplaying is also unparalleled, so if you get the chance to have him in a game, take it. --Carlo

Comments in reference to the character Kaminari Arukimasu a Hengeyokai: (Add Comments Here) I know this review is really for your fighter, since you lost your Hengeyokai save. I just wanted to say that it has been a great journey, and you have made the many months of this campaign rewarding and fun for me and everyone else involved. Kaminari was an excellent character, and you role played the hengeyokai extremely well. The replacement with your fighter was a tough switch to role play and throw into the nearly finished campaign, but you still managed to make him believable and responsive to the world he was in. I only wish my ninja were more challenging in the end, because your fighter‘s stupid improved knockdown was almost always the end of them. Ah, well, I learned to add immune to knockdown to my ninja in the toolset now. Again, thanks for returning to the campaign‘s conclusion, and thanks for adding so much to the game. I enjoyed DMing for you a great deal, and hope this wasn‘t the last time!

Comments in reference to the character Kaminari Arukimasu a Hengeyokai: (Add Comments Here) It was great to have you back with the group, although I was of course disappointed that Kaminari was lost and you had to bring in another character. Still, you made this new character, someone entirely unrelated to the story, start to fit in. I appreciate your efforts in role-playing and trying to assimilate this guy into the group, and your reactions to everything happening were very appropriate. It takes an excellent role player to switch characters and still manage to integrate them into things, and you did a great job. There were some very intense battles this session and you fought them well, often back to back with Akimori while Kitsu supported with deadly arrows. Your reaction to the betrayal was great, and the determined rush through the tainted lands was exciting. Great job, considering all things especially. I really look forward to concluding this adventure with you next session!

Comments in reference to the character A.D.A.M. a HUcast model X0117: Wow...a whole session without new samples. ;) Actually, ADAM‘s reaction to magic (basically applying it to anything that doesn‘t make sense) and Chaosti‘s resurrection were well-played, as well as his calm demeanor toward the door that just won‘t open. Always a pleasure to watch your style. --Rofelli--

Comments in reference to the character A.D.A.M. a HUcast model X0117: ADAM‘s discussion of his personal ethics (or lack thereof) with the group was priceless...I must do what I must do, but I promise I‘ll stop informing you of that if it‘ll make you feel better...found that amusing and perfectly IC. Definitely still have the circuits spinning with all the undead and magic, too. Nice to see he isn‘t getting comfortable ;) --Rofelli--

Comments in reference to the character Jenna Holt a Human: Is she from a monestary, or an assylum? Just kidding. It‘s hard to get a good read in one game. Jenna is very animated, confident, and wise in her own way. Looking forward to finding out more. CTH

Comments in reference to the character Keeleon B‘alzaak a Nezumi: Ok I probably shouldn‘t have done this....LOL. But I award you a BIG. Why? For playing an outlandish character believably? No. For playing a consistant character, that was an asset to the team? No. For being creative in your roleplaying without going to overboard? No. I give you this BIG for doing all of that while also co-DM‘ing and barely missing a beat. CTH

Comments in reference to the character A.D.A.M. a HUcast model X0117: As this session placed a heavy emphasis on the role of the warrior (a change of pace, to say the least), you shined tonight, and added onto it all with you usual confusion about anything at all magical...which is to say, all of Mandi Vale. You‘re still playing such an unusual character to the hilt, and I love watching it. --Rofelli--

Comments in reference to the character A.D.A.M. a HUcast model X0117: I‘ve played with this guy a few times, and he always plays a good character. ADAM is by far the most unique I‘ve seen Alex play. But he makes him very believable. I marked you as outlandish, but I meant it in a good way. BIG to you for being able to roleplay with such variety and consistancy. CTH

Comments in reference to the character A.D.A.M. a HUcast model X0117: Nicely done! I had a fun time. Great idea with the bomb, but it's a shame it was heard for miles. Now we have to figure out how to get out of jail. We shall see next time. ;)

Comments in reference to the character A.D.A.M. a HUcast model X0117: Like everybody else will say, BRILLIANT thinking with the bomb...if only my special effects abilities were on par! Of course, it brought down half the soldiers at the camp on you, but it's certainly something I'll never forget. Also, good job sneaking just out of sight...you came SO close to getting caught a lot of times, but kept your cool and succeeded in staying out of sight. Plus, good job working with Cain to get the first ox's shipment. --Rofelli--

Comments in reference to the character Kaminari Arukimasu a Hengeyokai: (Add Comments Here) Another great session, and this time, Kaminari's wit was put to the test by the Bayushi Deceiver. An amazing battle of words, and a tension that had everyone's hands on the hilts of their katana's. Poor Kaminari, trying to do the honorable thing yet unintentionally betraying Mazura to his death as the Shosuro Assassin slipped away to do the deed at the Bayushi's signal. The outrage and distrust of Min-Soo was well acted and very convincing. Really great job this game!

Another great performance. If you keep up the great acting while wounded/dying I might just keep you that way though! I really enjoyed your reactions to NPCs in particular. Julia Hartwyld a Human: Excellent Roleplaying. Character packed full of personality without over-playing it. I was impressed at how well the player did mundane things such as healing other characters and RP'ing it while I was still fumbling around with the interface. Well Done *thumbs up*

Comments in reference to the character Kaminari Arukimasu a Hengeyokai: As always, great RP'ing this session. Not a lot of action for my poor samurai, but you and Daryk more than made up for it with excellent interaction during the down time. Your leadership skills truly shine through when the group starts to get divided or misguided, great job.

Comments in reference to the character Kaminari Arukimasu a Hengeyokai: (Add Comments Here) Kaminari is always a joy to adventure with. His interaction on honor and life with Tori are always well done, and I loved his 'heavy-handed' interaction with Daryk this session.

Comments in reference to the character Kaminari Arukimasu a Hengeyokai: (Add Comments Here) Great job tonight! Thanks for your patience with the others' testing, and for finally being the one to pass all three challenges! I hadn't thought it would take the entire session to go through those tests, but the role-playing tonight was some of the best done yet! Your words of wisdom to console Daryk and your stern wrath to shake him out of it were very impressive tonight. Very keenly done, and I gotta say, that battle with the Scorpion Minion was impressively handled.

Comments in reference to the character Kaminari Arukimasu a Hengeyokai: (Add Comments Here) I was sad to see the hengeyokai quest was not completed, for this would have been an excellent opportunity for the hengeyokai side of Kaminari to be more developed, but despite that, Kaminari still stood out from the group in a way that hinted at an entirely different heritage. His knowledge of the healing arts and his appropriate timing of spells in battle made Kaminari look like a veteran, and his wisdom in all situations seemed almost as if he had a direct feed from the DM. Truly played with ease and skill!

Comments in reference to the character A.D.A.M. a HUcast model X0117: Two months off, you comes back and bring a fresh perspective to the whole mess that is Darien Accord. By making everybody re-explain the plot, you saw things anew, and asked questions that pointed the group in the right direction...you came in for a few hours, and, sure enough, they took action. It was a bit odd seeing ADAM's priority systems get switched and tweaked, and making Roland feel threatened wasn't the brightest move, but, all-in-all, I saw a top-notch performance last night. --Rofelli--

Comments in reference to the character Alissia Ty'ran a Human: (Add Comments Here) Your Vrock was simply awesome--all the little things you did here and there added up to making him an extremely entertaining and believable character. I loved the grisly feasts, with the bone crunching, blood squirting, and bloodied beak-wiping. It's no wonder that pack of cougars went for the confused Rakshasa. He really seemed to think that his feline background could offset the smell of his suit you smeared with blood. All the poor merchants and innocents, and, well, EVERYTHING living were eagerly eradicated. You truly were evil. I have to add--that post game chat was beyond hilarious.

Comments in reference to the character Kaminari Arukimasu a Hengeyokai: Kami continues to be the voice of reason and understanding in the group. He is starting to quietly, and maybe without him even knowing it, become the leader of this group. He is always there with a positive outlook when some of the others are having self-doubts; whether it be Daryk's choice to stay with Tori or follow his own path, or Tori trying to live up to his own personal standards. Great gaming session, I'm truly enjoying your character. I'm glad you decided not to drop out of this campaign, as I always look forward to Monday nights with this group.

Comments in reference to the character Kaminari Arukimasu a Hengeyokai: (Add Comments Here)Excellent job with Kaminari. Amazing that you said you weren't feeling well tonight, yet you delivered incredible role-play! Kaminari's many lectures about the Kami and honor set him apart from the others in that he really seemed like he had come from a different culture/race entirely. I'm not sure what a hengeyokai would really be like, but you paint a clear picture of your interpretation of one and it's not only believable, but show-stopping. Your random hunting excursions really adds to things, too. Everyone had better hide their live-stock from you! Eating cows and stealing chickens brings out your hengeyokai instincts well. Nicely played, and I very much look forward to next session!

Character Played: Kaminari Arukimasu (Hengeyokai): -------------------------
05/14/03
Character Played: Cyrus Walker (Human): -------------------------Well Frosty, what can I say. Week after week you seem to top your previous preformance. Even with the RW distractions your the best.
05/13/03
Character Played: Kaminari Arukimasu (Hengeyokai): ------------------------- Again, great game. It is nice to adventure with such an honorable and noble creature such as yourself. I'm sure glad you were there to get me out of yet another jam, That whole flesh to stone thing was a real nightmare...
05/13/03
Character Played: Cyrus Walker (Human): ------------------------- What can I say you always bring your "A" game. Another terrific game by you. Jack
05/12/03
Character Played: Esper (Draconic Fey): -------------------------Great game! It seems like that adventure revolves around your character. Curse that staff of Sandoval. That thing gets around.
05/12/03
Character Played: Esper (Draconic Fey): -------------------------
05/12/03
Character Played: Kaminari Arukimasu (Hengeyokai): ------------------------- Incredible job. My 2 favorites were how you dealt with Tori after the beholder battle. I wasn't sure if it was a game glitch or a lasting spell effect from the beholder, but either way you role-played it well. I also loved when you destroyed the barrels to quicken things. Nice effect! Having a blast- thanks.
05/12/03
Character Played: Kaminari Arukimasu (Hengeyokai): ------------------------- Transforming into his animal form, the hengeyokai was on the prowl again for food, and was found standing over a fallen deer. Throughout the game, Kami was resourceful and thoughtful, and surprised everyone when he meditated for just the right spell to free the suffocating Akimori from his stony shell. Quite frequently his use of shugenja magic stunned the group, especially when he closed off the entrance to the smuggler's cave with the avalanche he caused. One comical moment was his utter surprise that he, despite his large hybrid form, could be tackled by the lynx and raked repeatedly. His bewilderment at this and his admiration for the lynx's power fit his character perfectly. A lot of fun in game, and an excellent player!
05/11/03
Character Played: Esper (Draconic Fey): ------------------------- I think this was the best I have ever seen you play Alex! I have never seen anything like it! You just rolled with the punches and played it perfectly. BIG, BIG, BIG from me! That was roleplaying on Crack! The use of the emote wands was awsome the way you reacted to Mom and Dad battling to the death over the staff you possesed. Then when your father slayed your mother and then turned on you to claim the staff of Sandoval. WOW! I have never seen two dragons fight like that before! The gloves came off and you......GOT YOUR ASS WHIPPED! What a great ass whipping though. Epic! Don't think thats the last of it though not everthing is as it seems. Skeeney
05/11/03
Character Played: Esper (Draconic Fey): ------------------------- Gotta give you the BIG this time! The whole staff/dysfunctional family subplot was awesome. I was so scared that we'd have to fight you. I just knew we'd be toast. Did you see Hegel run around like a panicked monkey? That was evidence of my actual panic. :-) See ya next time (but not next week, 'cause I'm graduating)!
05/10/03
Character Played: Esper (Draconic Fey): ------------------------- BIG from me! Loved the Ester response.LOL!

Character Played: Esper (Draconic Fey): -------------------------Alex, you bring my roleplaying to new heights everytime we have a session. I expected nothing less from a gifted roleplayer such has yourself. Loris
05/06/03
Character Played: Cyrus Walker (Human): -------------------------Another fun game. Cyrus saved Eddies bacon this time. Thought he was a gonner for sure and it's a long way back to the priest. :)
05/06/03
Character Played: Kaminari Arukimasu (Hengeyokai): ------------------------- A great new character. He is very polite. He has an air on honorability to him that I really like. He has a wisdom that he lends to the team. I think we have a good group here. I am looking forwarding to seeing more from this one.
05/06/03
Character Played: Cyrus Walker (Human): ------------------------- My favorite game of the week! :)
05/06/03
Character Played: Kaminari Arukimasu (Hengeyokai): ------------------------- One of my favorite moments was when we were all standing around the farm house and realized you were missing. Someone asked, "Where's Kami?" and Kitsu replied, "Gathering some food." Just then we all heard the bleating moan of a cow. Perfect timing. I really enjoyed your take on the Hengeyokai, and I thought you did a nice job mixing the Druid shape-shifting in with the character's personality. Your sense of nature was more easily attributed to your Hengeyokai race than your druidic/shugenja class, and you played that well. I also liked your discomfort in the city, and how you noticed the smells and sounds through the eyes of a creature born in the wild. I look forward to next session a lot! Great playing, all around!
05/06/03
Character Played: Kaminari Arukimasu (Hengeyokai): ------------------------- Excellent RP'ing. Thought your personal touches of emotes fit in perfectly with your character. Looking forward to the next session. (the 9 in problem solving is that I thought we all should have done a better job avoiding those "ankeg" things)
05/06/03
Character Played: Kaminari Arukimasu (Hengeyokai): ------------------------- Very believable Hengeyokai. Interaction made the 'druid' come alive. Great job!
05/06/03
Character Played: Cyrus Walker (Human): ------------------------- Best in game , you are always on top of your game. -Jack
05/05/03
Character Played: Esper (Draconic Fey): ------------------------- A fantastic roleplayer! and great team work even though poor Esper was a little ineffective in most of the encounters (not the players fault) perhaps a little too much roleplay at times. Don't get me wrong I think there are many times and places for roleplay but when you are down in an uncharted dungeon you should be paying a little more attention to what your team mates are doing and trying to stay alive than having idle banter with other team members about subjects that are best saved for the taverns afterwards, but then again it is very hard to cram all the roleplaying, equiping, getting to know your team and adventuring...etc into a three hour one shot module with 3-7 complete strangers. I thought things went fairly smooth considering all that and we finished the module which I didn't think we would do and I think we even started to get a little bit better as a unit towards the end. Great Game!!
05/05/03
Character Played: Esper (Draconic Fey): ------------------------- As always, the player handled his character with good RP, although at times he was RPing while other members of the group were facing mortal danger (and trying to call attention to that). Tried to adapt to situations with his magic but was hindered due to immutability of sorcerer spell choices (I know you feel that arcane casters are disadvantaged in this mod, but I would suggest that perhaps a wizard, with a broader spell selection, would be more useful). Got a little frustrated with the other players; as a leader (with high Charisma to boot), try to draw team members together and inspire them rather than snapping on them (as you tried to do in the initial area of the pit). The group just didn't really jell, which is symptomatic of the one-shot format, rather than the fault of any one character.
05/05/03
Character Played: Esper (Draconic Fey): -------------------------
05/05/03
Character Played: Esper (Draconic Fey): ------------------------- Great job this game! The RPing with Loris was really good... even though I think I missed some of the best parts! Looking forward to next week. Thanks.
05/04/03
Character Played: Esper (Draconic Fey): I usually don't care for non-standard races, as typically the idea is just to create something as powerful and "coolest" as possible - here, however, the background was well thought out (and explained in game and in context), the entire character hung together, and play was always in character. Very nice - def. best in game. Hope to party with you again, in something more that a couple hour one shot mod. -------------------------
05/04/03
Character Played: Esper (Draconic Fey): -------------------------
05/04/03
Character Played: Esper (Draconic Fey): ------------------------- Great game, Epic Battle! Excellent Role-Playing.
05/04/03
Character Played: Esper (Draconic Fey): ------------------------- Loved the conversation you were having with Loris in the tomb. Your character really seemed to struggle with the difficult question. Then the sadness at the Dragon tomb. This module seems to have been made for Esper. Great Job as always!
05/04/03
Character Played: Esper (Draconic Fey): -------------------------
05/04/03
Character Played: Esper (Draconic Fey): ------------------------- I felt so sorry for Esper tonight with all of the sad dragon-related plot points. Thought you'd put the smack-down on Loris in the tomb, but you held back. ;-) Great, as usual!
05/03/03
Character Played: Esper (Draconic Fey): -------------------------
05/02/03
Character Played: Esper (Draconic Fey): ------------------------- Im not so sure it was such a great idea to let Esper take the staff of Sandova but who's going to stop Esper from doing what he wants anyway. I hope he has the strength to deny the dark side of himself the staff calls out. Great problem solving(wink wink nudge nudge say no more). Always a blast playing with you Frosty!

04/27/03
Character Played: Lhasha Phyre (Human): ------------------------- Go, Esper, with the buffs! Watching you cast is just so cool. And you as a dragon -- pretty nifty. I love your change of voice when you're in dragon-mode. Very clever of you!
04/26/03
Character Played: Esper (Draconic Fey): ------------------------- Good use of spells helped the party muchly. A mating between a Red Dragon (reptile) and a Nymph (semi-Human)? Now that would have been something to watch. :>)
04/26/03
Character Played: Julia Hartwyld (North Blood): ------------------------- Excellent playing! I was highly impressed with the extra details that you added to the atmosphere throughout the entire game: shielding the rogue from the Hobgoblin's sight as she broke into his stash, heavily mourning the loss of your prized sword, tugging the hobgoblin along behind you with the rope, and trying to wash your boots of troll dung in a puddle of water (or was it?), you were constantly making the extra effort to spice up the reality. And then there were the situational surprises--instead of blaming the loss of your ring to the obvious rust monster attack, you instead turned to angrily accuse the rogue. Teamwork, battle strategy/savvy, looting--everything was nicely played, all the way through, and I really hope to see you in game again soon!
04/25/03
Character Played: Esper (Draconic Fey): ------------------------- Very interesting biped (^_~) who kept me listening closely for more hints about his mysterious heritage. Seemed to pick up quickly on the existing group dynamics.
04/24/03
Character Played: Karmak (Orran): -------------------------
04/22/03
Character Played: Cyrus Walker (Human): -------------------------This is my favorite game. It's a lot of fun playing in this game with you and the rest of our crew. I didn't know that Cyrus was so good at bartering. can't wait till next weeks installment.

Character Played: Lhasha Phyre (Human): -------------------------
04/21/03
Character Played: A.D.A.M. (HUcast model X0117): ------------------------- Playing a robot in a fantasy world ? It may sound insane, but Alexander Frost manages to do it. Perfectly.
04/21/03
Character Played: A.D.A.M. (HUcast model X0117): ------------------------- Ah, still learning how to interact with biological life forms. Still learning not to shout so loudly. Still learning who you are, and what you should do now that you've been thrown back to medieval times from a technological level beyond the 21st century. Still not having enough memory to realize the whole mess. ADAM's thoughts came out a bit more, as he suddenly deals with Evalia...a being wholly unlike anything he has working data on. At the same time, he must fight wolves and monks to the death. And then explanations about system shut-down for the nanite repair of the body (exo-skeleton?). Now, granted, I haven't seen too many other portrayals of "thinking golems," but I can't imagine much improvement on what you do. I really have nothing to criticize. Well done. --Rofelli--
04/21/03
Character Played: A.D.A.M. (HUcast model X0117): -------------------------Ack! I tire of all this blatant flattery and praise that I must sow upon your head after every session-will it never end!?!? *grumbles* If frosty only weren't so damned good at this....HOLLYWOOD, IF YOU ARE LISTENING, SIGN THIS DUDE TO A SCREENWRITING CONTRACT! Character Played: Lhasha Phyre (Human): ------------------------- Awesome, as usual! Thanks for the really cool spells that beef us up for battle -- though it would be nice to see who/what I'm healing/resurrecting next time! ;-) Hope we get to play again!

Character Played: A.D.A.M. (HUcast model X0117): ------------------------- Good job again. Still getting used to the 'golem', but he's fun to play with.
04/20/03
Character Played: Lhasha Phyre (Human): 'In My Opinion' Lhasha and Artimia always looked to play off each other. While I am aware of the out of game connection, I felt it had to big of an influence on the charcters in game. Juice
04/20/03
Character Played: Lhasha Phyre (Human): ------------------------- Great game! Glad that we had a chance to "adventure" together again. Too bad that we got "cut short". Hope we can finish this one up or do another module sometime.
04/19/03
Character Played: Keeleon B'alzaak (Nezumi): ------------------------- Nice job as the 'Rat' Alex. Look forward to playing again. -T
04/19/03
Character Played: Keeleon B'alzaak (Nezumi): ------------------------- OK, you got my BPIG. (^_-) Great improvements to Keeleon this time. More cautious about others' reactions, clever without being overbearing. This character would be even better in a campaign where there was a realistic background for the other players to play off of. Much better than our last experience! - Gruush
04/18/03
Character Played: Keeleon B'alzaak (Nezumi): ------------------------- It's a man! It's a giant rat! No its...a Nezumi Warrior? Yep prior to this game I had no clue what the heck a Nezumi but oh god the way Alex played his giant rat err.. Nezumi character was sheer brilliance. Excellent work! Adroth Dasker

Character Played: E'laqua E'luril (Elf): ------------------------- Thanks for the tour of your new Keep, and you did a wonderful job in character there.

Character Played: E'laqua E'luril (Elf): -------------------------
04/14/03
Character Played: Keeleon B'alzaak (Nezumi): ------------------------- Well what can I say he was great. I had a blast playing with him and Kat. He was always in charter even when he had the key and didnt want to give it up. Great roleplay of a wererat right in charter not to want to give up the key. LOL. It was hard for me to decide who to vote for best player. There were 4 fine roleplayers Katrina,Keeleon,Monkey and the studder gee I forgot his name. Well I voted for Kee for 3 reasons mainly. 1) His roleplay was superb. 2) he was very helpfull to me like everyone in the game. 3) He went the extra mile in the game. EX) Not giving up the key at first. Ex) His hot key of wererat language used at the proper time. Ex) His sneeking around trying to be stealthy and trying to be the scout. There was alot of great roleplaying in this group. I hope to someday to get on par with them. I had to give my vote to one of them. So my vote goes to Keeleon. He was a very intresting charter. Txs for the good game. <(ZEDBOR)>
04/14/03
Character Played: E'laqua E'luril (Elf): ------------------------- Great all-around player and leader. Contributed a very creative and thorough custom area to the game, with well-developed NPCs. Tactical usage of spells very useful to the party (though you'd better be careful with those empowered lightning bolts!). Definitely earns BPIG and I'm looking forward to witnessing E'laqua's continued development in this new campaign.
04/14/03
Character Played: Keeleon B'alzaak (Nezumi): ------------------------- Alex, I almost hate to give *anyone* a BPIG for this game, but the slight nod goes to you. (^_-) As I kinda suspected beforehand, I think the Nezumi was a difficult choice for a one-shot game with newbie DMs. Of course, your role-playing of the part was impeccable, with the chittering and sniffing the air and such. Constructive criticisms? I've got three, but none of them are deal-killers, and I only mention them because I know you like the feedback. 1. Some of your emotes are things that I'm not sure would really be obvious - about all of the concealed weapons in your fur and such. 2. I think your slightly chaotic tendencies with stealing the scythe, poking the guard with a knife, and so forth were probably quite in-character, but in a game that was really struggling to begin with, it only made it harder to keep the game on-track. 3. I think in the beginning, liek during the discussion with Flower, that you and Kat were so "chit-chatty" that it was making it very difficult for the DMs to get the plot going. I guess my overall sentiment is that your character was wonderfully played, but in your position, I would have toned it down a bit if it helped the game go more smoothly. Might have been a hopeless cause though! (^_-) At any rate, I very much look forward to playing with you again! - Gruush

04/13/03
Character Played: Keeleon B'alzaak (Nezumi): ------------------------- This player was a joy to play with. Very unique character with a strong bio and background. Added a lot of fun to the team. Good experienced player. A three way tie for best players with Kat and Stephen.
04/13/03
Character Played: Keeleon B'alzaak (Nezumi): ------------------------- Loved the chatachter.. Very nice job of makeing him. will enjoy playingwith you again..

Character Played: E'laqua E'luril (Elf): ------------------------- Best player! Salute to Baron El! :) - Sleet
04/13/03
Character Played: Lhasha Phyre (Human): ------------------------- Can't believe you came up with this character on the fly. She was perfectly played! Skeeneyman said you were an awesome player and you did not disappoint. BTW, absolutely loved the fireball tossing comments. Such "small touches" are very clever and really add to the gameplay. Can't wait to play again!

04/08/03
Character Played: A.D.A.M. (HUcast model X0117): ------------------------- So I'm like "Frosty is kidding about playing a robot, right?" Then he shows up with this robot -- yes robot -- character. At first I thought this is not going to work in a fantasy setting. So I and the other players are playing it off as if he's some kind of oddball golem -- having no conception of what a robot is. My reservations were cast aside pretty quickly, however, as Alex lived up to his usual exemplary RP skills. Very unusual character and yet lots of fun to play alongside. This character made for some great, and very unique, RP opportunities for all of us. Bravo!

Character Played: A.D.A.M. (HUcast model X0117): ------------------------- Umm...wow? This has gotta be the most original and the oddest character concept I've ever heard of. And you pulled it off spectacularly. Now if only we can get you to stop announcing Cain... ;) - Eugenides

Character Played: A.D.A.M. (HUcast model X0117): ------------------------- Didn't think anyone could roleplay a robot in D&D. Well...he does...perfectly. - Shinji -

Character Played: A.D.A.M. (HUcast model X0117):Bastard! Again robbing me of my BIG's...Aieee! Sigh...it is truly hard work to keep up with you AND shinji...(huff, huff..pant), but I can only hope to walk in the glory of your shadows, blah, blah ( Cain is starting to take over this computer...) Ho there, er, uh, Sir Frosty! Your conduct in play is truly amazing, the like of which I have not seen since the time I was trapped in that dark elf brothel...(mumbles on)..but ahem, your praises shall be sung by this humble bard and your glory shall be toasted (5 minutes of more typical Cain posturing and posing and blatant flattery)-To thee sir, I award this here uh, um (*motions to the side of the stage* What the in the nine hells is this thing!?!? ) Oh yes, I award this "best in Game" for your outstanding conduct! Hurrah! -------------------------
04/05/03
Character Played: A.D.A.M. (HUcast model X0117): ------------------------- Definitely one of the oddest characters I've ever played with, but very well done indeed. Looking forward to more games with A.D.A.M. to see what makes him tick (no pun intended).
04/05/03
Character Played: A.D.A.M. (HUcast model X0117): ------------------------- WOW. Amazing job! Simply superb! I can't think of anything to improve upon. You know how your unusual character is supposed to act and react, and his general thought processes, and you play him perfectly. Incredible job. --Rofelli--
04/02/03
Character Played: E'laqua E'luril (Elf): ------------------------- E'laqua was the glue that held us all together! Can I give an 11 for teamwork?
04/01/03
Character Played: E'laqua E'luril (Elf): ------------------------- As usual, great game! The surprise for me was that there were two Frost's that good! ;) - Jonathan de Chesholme
03/27/03
Character Played: Lhasha Phyre (Human): ------------------------- not all that good with reviews but here goes... I liked the dialogue between Gort and Lhasha, sometimes making me wondering how these characters would work in a longer campaign. not all that concerned with combat and such...
03/26/03
Character Played: Lhasha Phyre (Human): ------------------------- Well played. I have no idea who the real person is over there, cuz I bought the character completely!
03/26/03
Character Played: Lhasha Phyre (Human): ------------------------- Great leadership skills when we bothered to listen to her. Good in game talk, and Very assertive
03/25/03
Character Played: E'laqua E'luril (Elf): ------------------------- E'laqua is a very fine wizard to campaign with and AlexanderFrost has all the skills and tricks to playing and Roleplaying down expertly. I have certainly learned a lot from him. It has been a priveldge to play in the Drums of War with him.
03/24/03
Character Played: E'laqua E'luril (Elf): -------------------------For the consistency in playing elaqua, for your work in the forums, for adding a new dynamic to rp that i didn't know was possible before I joined NWC, you get BIG. Great campaign, and I hope it will be the first of many more to come with Alexander Frost. Viva Evil Chicken! Poetic C

03/16/03
Character Played: Nikki Daeler (Human): ------------------------- Nikki grows up. Simple sentence isn't it? Yet I think it would take pages to describe this character's development. Alex, I truly believe Nikki is shaping up to be the best character I have seen you play. Not a leader, or nutcase, or a flamboyant character (okay well not THAT flamboyant); just a talented child forced to grow up too soon, in the midst of an earth-shaking battle between the forces of Light and Darkness. Keep it up, you're onto something.
03/16/03
Character Played: Nikki Daeler (Human): ------------------------- Nikki is a great character. She is pretty tough in battle. Resourceful and determined. Great use of skill checks to gather intelligence.

03/09/03
Character Played: Nikki Daeler (Human): ------------------------- I know you have had some doubts about playing this character, whether you like her, or if you are doing her well, and keeping her consistent. I just don't see it. Nikki seems right on the money, at times foolishly fierce, sometimes timid and afraid. I think your doubts are misplaced and... any 17 yr old that can do 25 pts of damage with an unarmed strike is bound to be a little unusual. - Fel
03/09/03
Character Played: Sable Dawn (Human): ------------------------- A valuable party resource...my only regret is that she had to leave early.
03/08/03
Character Played: Nikki Daeler (Human): ------------------------- Alex, you say you don't know about Nikki, well you're doing a damn fine job about hiding it. Excellent job this week...as always! -DMTag
03/08/03
Character Played: Sable Dawn (Human): ------------------------- Sable, it's always a blast to play with you. I can't wait to keep this series going!
03/08/03
Character Played: Sable Dawn (Human): ------------------------- It was great to have Sable back in the game. All the "fond goodbyes" should tell you how well you're thought of as a roleplayer. Sable and Furr work so well together; Isildi and Darren work so well together; since Rafel isn't returning to the game, we need to find a "partner" for Praetor!

Character Played: Sable Dawn (Human): -------------------------
03/08/03
Character Played: Sable Dawn (Human): ------------------------- Nice job indeed. One problem I have though is how quickly you flick through the dialog screens with npc's. I do not read slowly but also I am not a speed reader and I have not played this module before. Besides that one small detail (which really does not amount to much admittedly) it was a still pleasure gaming with you.

Character Played: Sable Dawn (Human): ------------------------- Always in character. Always in the spirit of the game. Always for the team. A true "gamer" if there was one. As a character, Sable is noble and beautiful. Wonderfully voiced.

Character Played: Nikki Daeler (Human): ------------------------- Nikki gets sneakier every game. Heh, scouting seemed to pay off more this session for Nikki; of course it had to, considering our new enemies.

Character Played: Nikki Daeler (Human): ------------------------- Nikki spoke and acted more...comfortable this session. While slightly more subdued than in previous sessions, she was equally effective. Nice work!

Character Played: E'laqua E'luril (Elf): -------------------------Whatever dude! I don't know how you can continually pull all that stuff out of your derriere time and time again when we play-cripes you are good! Now I'm jealous! Bastard! Scurrilous rogue! Base villain! Dog! Abyssally spawned demon! :) Poetic C

Character Played: Sable Dawn (Human): ------------------------- Sable was believable and a good party leader. She was very outwardly religious, which with 3 clerics of 3 deities in the group may be an interesting dynamic. I look forward to playing with Sable this week.

Character Played: Sable Dawn (Human): ------------------------- You dealt wonderfully with having a bunch of "boys" around giving you compliments all night long. Really help make the group feel like we'd known each other for a long time. And you performed the leadership role wonderfully, allowing everyone to play their role in the party and yet still guiding the group to our destination. Well done.

Character Played: Silver Sable (Human): ------------------------- I don't think the ratings system goes high enough to score for this exceptional character, and her contributions to our TC win. AF is a great strategist, working *with* the strengths of teammates to reach the goal! Perfect use of spells, fighting, cunning and trickery. Oh, and thanks for giving Lly the nice bow when hers was lost! Magic arrows just don't work when flung by hand... ^_-

Character Played: Silver Sable (Human): Of course there was some craziness at first, but once all got straightened out I think this was another phenomenal game! Nothing is better than a close call, down to the wire, who is gonna win type of game. I think every player that stuck through to the end played to their fullest and proved once again that good character know how and teamwork always win the day. I wish both teams could have won as certainly every player deserved to. Thanks.

Character Played: E'laqua E'luril (Elf): -------------------------OIY! Hail and well met. At last i have ventured with ye. I have tell tale of the man known as AF. And now I meet his incarnation E'laqua. I am *very* impressed with the way you were able to not only integrate yourself with the rest of the group, but communicate much of (your) E'laqua's personality. I read his backstory after the game and enjoyed the heck out of it. I too write detailed (sometimes long and verbose) backstories. That is where I begin to learn my character in order to RP him. As you seem to have done in an excellent way with this elf. When you blasted those innocents early on my heart sank for you a bit. I have been on the recieving end of some (warranted) cajoling from Terjon and Sil and evn LRP before myself. Not a fun place to be in. But the way you handled it was marvelous. You took your personal redemption, and the dogs having a new home/losing his master, tied them together, and turned that into a quest for yourself within the larger quest. How very creative, all on the fly too! anyway, I wanted to give you BIG, (see my review of LRP) butI think I chose her by mistake? It wouldn't really be a mistake though. I don't go by straight numbers all the time. They sre to restrictive for me. If somepone overcomes some personal quest doring a game I may give them BIG. Or if someone does a really heroic act, sacrificing self for another for instance, but had been greedy with the loot prior to that; I rate the looting how it should be, but the BIG might go to that person for heroim. You got docked for conduct (I know, it was an honest mistake) but the finesse with which you were able to enter this large party and deal with an obstacle early on showed a lot..hence the (almost) BIG ;) Next time though, right! I am *certain* you will earn more. Peace, Thebor

Character Played: E'laqua E'luril (Elf): -------------------------First impressions, a courtly, well spoken gentleman, and as game went on the impression of the bard and mage as longstanding friends was apparent in the banter and give and take between the two of you--especailly funny was how ye accidently burned the tavern down, obviously you and the bard have often "set the town on fire". I liked how ye wove yourself into the plot witht eh death of the NPC, which I felt was getting great use from a tragic mistake and really making it work for you. I can well understand your frustration at being able to lob the massive damage spells, which spell casters so rightfully look forward to at this level and would strongly urge some clear guidlines be set so that ye might do this. The suggestion to use the macro is good, and would like to see you both use the shout or yellow text so that it is clearly seen and noted by all ratheer than run the risk of overlooking an all white dialogue script. Thankee, look forward to next game :)LRP

Character Played: E'laqua E'luril (Elf): -------------------------Very good game for you. Thadius was impressed with your ability to bounce back from a set back and learn from it. He holds you in high regards.

Character Played: Nikki Daeler (Human): ------------------------- Great job in the crypt! Very believable performance and very well acted. That one deserverd BIG. I think there is a slight overuse in emotes. Thought I'd never hear that out of my mouth, but during some conversations, the emotes interupted them. So maybe a few less during the conversations! Other than that, great game!

Character Played: Nikki Daeler (Human): ---------Darn it, you did it again. :-) I'd still like to know whether you'd have sneak-stabbed me before I managed to club you unconscious, heh. I'd have said the paranoia was a little extreme, but of course the amulet didn't help; and that being the case, I think the performance was perfect. *Now* can I club her over the head?! :D -- Ysh

Character Played: Nikki Daeler (Human): ------------------------- Encore! It seems like I learn something each time I play with a player of this calibre. Alex played with great energy and helped make the plot come alive for the other players. Fantastic.

Character Played: Silver Sable (Human): -------------Not sure Silver was on top form last night -- even so, enough RP to go round and to spare! Always a pleasure to play or DM with. You may need to decide whether Silver is going the full tank-cleric route or not, since this will help determine her tactics. She might be too valuable to lose to a front-line fight; of course, she might not agree with me :) -- Ysh

Character Played: Silver Sable (Human): ------------------------ I had to give the best player in Game to someone else. If I didn't spread it around a little you would always receive my vote. :-) Silver's strong leadership skills more often than not subtle an unubtrusive. Silver is one of the character's I look forward to seeing most in our gaming sessions.

Character Played: Nikki Daeler (Human): ------------------------- You played one of the most lively and engaging characters I've had the pleasure to encounter. I'm still gathering up my jaw from the dragon-hug. I love it when players zing the DM's like that!

02/09/03
Character Played: Nikki Daeler (Human): ------------------------- Ah.... that little Nikki. Cute as can be. Almost to cute. This character was played well as a 16 year old, but I felt the character described in the bio, would have had a more secluded girl. She seemed rather forthcoming at times and more vengeful (towards the men) than what I would have believed to be frightened. Not that she was played poorly, the roleplay skill was excellent, and I knew it would be. But I felt the character was not who she should have been. You did an excellent job today and as always, I look forward to playing with you again. GG! DMTag

Character Played: Cyrus Walker (Human): ------------------------- An excellent roleplayer even in a heavy hack 'n slash, light roleplaying module. Atop of that he is also a great cleric, keeping our party alive through buffs and healing while still acting as the main tank. A+ player.

Character Played: E'laqua (Elf): ------------------------- Well-played magic-user in group of active role players. Group is just hitting stride in terms of working together and I am sure that the mage's contribution will be vital. Active in pregame RP and worked well with the others in-game.

Character Played: Silver Sable (Human): ------------------------- This group came together and formed a strong cohesive unit within just an hour of meeting. I was very impressed with everyone`s roleplaying skills. There was not a single person in this group that detracted from the game. Each person made this party seem like one straight out of a good novel. I look forward to playing with you again. ~Rizzen (Site Admin)

Sorry double duty as scout and rogue keeps me so much away from the group itself, and more rp, think it would have been fun, doing a bit more of that but always walking point, to get monsters to spawn so they do not attack our backs and sides, and doing chests and that checking for traps, just keeps me from that unless the group actually stops in a tavern or camps-thanks LRP

Excellent RP tonight. Sable has the qualities of a good leader.

Second time Ive played with this player. I can get a feel for this character just by standing next to her. The character feels "alive" and the player is very good a friendly/courteous. I look forward to many games ahead!

Fun game. Excellent spell tactics. I am jealous as I cannot play a wizard like that. Thanks partner.

Great team challenge. Good support and actually stayed alive more often than the front line. A REALLY good mage

Great job with Julia your first time out. Lots of personality came through and I got the sense she'd be the life of the party...if she wasn't starting fights after a few drinks. :) Best-in-game for you tonight. I look forward to watching Julia swing that giant meat cleaver about in future games. :) -Belfus

I had a lot of fun with this character and player even despite the server issues. The roleplaying was excellent, very descriptive and spontaneous. The emotes *smiles* *grins* *looks around* etc were very helpful in describing the characters personality, without saying it! Very well done. Will play wit again any day. DM Tag-

This was your 1st game? Very nicely done. Had you not mentioned it post game, I would not have known it. I look forward to the day that we game together again, perhaps with fewer technical interruptions next time!
