Jonan Shin

Jonan was born and raised in a small village, just in the outskirts of Neverwinter. At the age of 20 he became a priest in the service of Tyr. He was a peaceful, kind and generous man, full of faith and devotion to the gods. Every day you could see him helping the villagers in their daily tasks. The village may not have had many material possessions, in fact, they didn’t even had a descent temple, but they were rich in spirit and lived happy and peaceful lives. The years passed and he wed a woman by the name of Helena, who he loved deeply. A year later they had a beautiful baby girl who they named Laina. Those were very happy times for Janon, he had everything he ever wanted, and thanked the gods for it.

One day Janon had parted to Neverwinter for much needed supplies for the village. When he was on his way back he noticed smoke coming from the village. Fearing the worst he ran faster and faster, until he reached the village, where his fears had been confirmed. The village was burning in flames, and corpsed lying in the ground, it was horrible. He mad his way across the burning ruble and the corpses, he was trying desperately to make his way to his house. But it was too late, he found his wife and daughter lying on the floor stabbed to dead.

Janon was struck with disbelief, the gods had failed to protect his family and his friends from that savage attack. Since that moment he lost all faith in Tyr and the other gods. After he buried his family and friends, Janon left his home and since then has wandered around the country side trying to find a new porpuse to his life, and maybe find those who killed his loved ones and avenge them.

Janon Shin is a man in his mid 30s. Even if he has lost faith in the gods he still follows a path of goodness, he is kind and tries to help others when it is for a good cause. But he doesn’t feel guilty for receiving rewards for his deeds, he will take what he needs if people are willing to give it. He also has a firm belief that all people and their ideas must be respected, regardless of their race and origin, aslong as they don’t harm other people.
