Koss was raised on the streets. He was small as a child, but quick, and so managed to avoid most beatings by the older urchins. He grew strong in his late teens, and was recruited into the local gang as an enforcer. He later developed his melee and archery skills as a member of the Bloodblades, a local mercenary group which met a bad end at the hand of a wronged wizard. Koss knows the value of membership in a strong group, and though completely self-serving, he suffers a deep need for acceptance and companionship.
