Jadewood
Quiet, aloof, loner, works ok with a group as long as balance is kept, and his pockets are lined with gold. Prefers the company of elves. But bonds with others well.
Is a bit of an oucast among other elves. He was caught in a romance with a human while young, a girl named Rain, so beautiful to him. His father and mother, Finious and Veniel, were very disappointed. The tryst had ruined a proposed match with a local merchant's daughter.
This merchant, Jonadriel, was insistant that his daughter never be with the tainted Jadewood. But, Mellissant fell for him anyway. Jadewood found he actually liked her as well, and so was driven from the tree city by Jonadriel and his friends and allies.
Jadewood has vowed to return to Mellissant and marry her. But he would need gold to buy of the merchants greedy allies.
He has decided to leave the company of the elves, and seek solitude in the forests. Looking for ancient treasures in the forgotten places. A dire wolf for a companion. He strives to maintain a cool natural order in the places he roams, he is still an Elf.
Raised to respect nature. To maintain balance, to not trust the other races. He does not even trust many Elves now. His closest allies are his animal friends. Although, he has found friends in a town called Mauru. Some real people that need help and are surrounded by ancient treasure that they do not seem aware of! He will help them, and see what can be found in these ruins all about.
Maybe he and Mellissant will be re-united one day soon? And what of his awakening feelings for this High born one? Elaedriel? And what about his growing feelings also for the newest member of the group, Morgan? A mess to be sure.
