Father Thebo

Father Thebo is an aging cleric of Lathander. He has spent most of his life in a smallish port city of Llast, on the coast of the Sword Sea. He tends to a flock of loyal and devout worshippers of the MorningLord, Lathander; mostly fisherman, sailors, and farmers. When a younger man he knew the ways of the big cities and thier politics. Indeed he served in the Armies of the Neverwinter as a Priest and necessity demanded that he see his fair share of battle also. After his service to the Empire he retuned to the peace and calm of his boyhood village. Seeing the destruction wrought of politics and the expansion of enlightened thinking he decided to spend the little wealth that he gained on restoring the Temple of Lathander. His adventures since then have usually come in the form of defending his defending his town or answering ths call of his Church. In this capacity Lathander has served his town well nigh these long years. Recently however the town was viciously raided by marauding pirates from an enemy state. Now the other face of Lathander would need to be brought to bear; retribution was called for! With grim resolve the humble cleric set out with several other town elders to plead thier case to the officials in nearby Neverwinter. Nebverwinter being the nearest city with the soldiers and resources at it's disposal to seek vengeance. After many days journey and and difficult negotioations with the Cities politicians Lathander's favor was granted to the delegates. It was agreed that the Cities Naval forces would be dispathched immediately to pursue the culprits. The taxes on the small village would be increased slightly for the next five years but thier mission was accomplished. After this Father Thebo hose to stay behind for a while. He had not been outside his small village in a very long time and wanted to visit the temples in this city dedicated to Lathander. This is where we presently find Father Thebo; reflecting on the judgements he has made about City life and about society . . .

Lathander is the Neutral Good god of spring, dawn, birth, and renewal. His followers believe in new beginnings, and work for the betterment of all. They have no preferred weapon, but they typically wear plate mail and a shield, with red and yellow tinting. Lathander's symbol is rosy pink disk, typically cut from rose quartz.
