Born Phaigus Termollen of Draephune and Aline Termollen of Daggerford, where Draephune made a modest living as clerk to a jeweler. The family enjoyed three-day trips down the River Delimbiyr.
When Phaigus was five years old, his father abandoned his mother and he to pursue business in Waterdeep, swearing to better their lives through the riches he would gain. They never heard from him after his departure.
After a year had passed and the savings of the Termollens was diminished, Aline was forced to see to the needs of her self and son and she began work at Nartan's Fine Foods where she ran errands for a pittance. After a few years of service, she was entrusted with greater responsibility, and began greeting shipments for Nartan a day's ride down the river. A curious child, Phaigus always awaited eagerly his mother's return from her trips when he would urge from her tales of her short travel.
On one such trip, when Phaigus was nine years in age and growing daily in curiosity and endeavor, he followed his mother covertly. Untaught in travel wariness and unsuspecting, his mother fell into an ambush by hill giant raiders, seeking the trade gold in her cart. As soon as the violence began, another force intervened and drove the giants away, but the damage done was great. The moon elves who had given assistance cared for Aline at their home in the southern Ardeep Forest, but she was beyond their help and died two days after the attack.
Phaigus was dazed with trauma, though the elves cared for him with great facility. They named him for their purpose Ev-Qeron, in their local dialect meaning "Lost Northman." Against the counsel of some of those among them, a small group of the elves kept Ev-Qeron in their care as one of their own. These were one of the few small groups of moon elves remaining in Ardeep after the great departure of their kind to Evermeet.
After living by their way for many years, Ev-Qeron had grown to a full man and those elves who discouraged his adoption grew more uneasy. In his twentieth year, the elves of dul-Darletom, the name they gave their small community, felt the lure of Evermeet and left Ev-Qeron with their home.
In the two years since that time, the ranger has lived on the land, traveling the near North with occasional visits to Waterdeep and Daggerford, always returning to Ardeep, his home. He seeks the murderers of his mother and feels sympathy for others touched by the malice of evil humanoids. His travels have brought him with frequency to the Weary Wyvern, but his little known for his time with the elves introduced a suspicion of the other races, including his own kind.
