Not much is known about Daedin's past. Some people say he was deprived of his family at an early age and was then forced to survive on his own among perils one can barely try to imagine. Other rumours claim that he was brought up by wood people -- perhaps elves -- and it was there he became familiar with ranger's skills. However, nothing is known for certain.
