"I dunno, mate, having magic in your blood is kind of overrated."
Sean Morillan comes from a long line of magicians, who have all died horrible deaths while doing great or terrible deeds. That kind of thing *marks* a bloke. The Morillan family has produced an astounding amount of evil madmen, as well as champions of good. For Sean himself, the issue is still undecided. Because, while he *hates* seeing people get bullied around, it is still a little too easy to use his... gifts to get his own way. He sometimes wishes he could give it up; the heritage, the magic, the lifestyle. But he knows better; once you are on that road, once you have seen the world through the eyes of magic, there is really no going back to the mundane, simple life.
"Lock up yer daughters and hide yer purses. Sean's in town."
Since his charms (both personal and magical) eventually tend to wear off, he lives a fleeting life, always on the move. Dresses like a commoner, because that is how he views himself. Normally doesn't carry any weapons. Constantly smoking a pipe. Taking any opportunity to get a pint in. A con man and a scoundrel by opportunity and habit. A hero by necessity and pigheadedness.
"No need for that, mate, we're all friends here, right? Eh, easy on the broadsword, guv. Oh, *bugger*."
While hiding out in the woods after a slight misunderstanding (a certain necromancer had taken issue with Sean "borrowing" a spellbook, not to mention getting a little too friendly with his daughter), Sean met a strange fellow named Lupo. The poor sod had obviously gone feral out in the wilds by his lonesome, and was about to get hanged by some noblemen for infringing on their hunting grounds. Well. Bugger that. So, the nobles ate a Sleep spell, and Lupo ran off. A couple of days later, Sean was really, really lost. He was just about to end up as wolf chow, when Lupo showed up again. The druid promptly talked the wolves out of their meal plans, then dragged the half-starved magician back to civilization. This was the beginning of an odd, but useful partnership. When Lupo gets in trouble on account of lacking social finesse, Sean is always there to smooth things over. And when Sean gets into the occasional pinch with - say - people who don't take losing at cards well, having a wild-eyed druid friend around is right handy.
"Please leave me out of your visions, pointy-ears."
Current travel-company also includes Gandor "Adventure!" Pebblefoot, gnomish bard who tends to fall into holes, and Hroar "CHARGE!" Redmane, very much a dwarf.
