Thebudunk has been recently banished from his clan. For a long time his mother was the "Queen of the Pride" in Kuri-Kan-Kulk's tribe. She took ill a while back and recently passed, leaving another to take the favored place next to the tribal leader. Now the protection that had allowed him to grow up without the abuse and turmoil half Orcs usually receive in Orc societies is gone. He has relied on stealth and guise to get around without confrontation thus far but he knows the time has come that he is no longer welcome in his "home". Fortunately he is old enough to strike out on his own now. Thebudunk inherited above-average intelligence from his humam father (an unwilling participant in his procreation) and was raised to one day be a shaman of Gruumsh, The One-eyed orc god of caverns, battle, strength, chaos, hatred, and evil. In the meantime however he served as a scout on war and raiding parties. At age 25 he found a holy book in the tent of an Uthgardt Mystic that had been killed in a raid he was on. He kept this book and looked at it from time to time. He could not read the Uthgardt language but he could make out some themes based on the sketches and drawings in the book. Over the course of the next several years he started accompanying the tribal elders as they went to trade with other barbarian tribes. There he began to learn Uthgardt, and he would return home to look at his book when he could. He now leaves behind the teachings of Gruumsh as well as the safety of his tribe. He likes the teachings of the more neutral God Tempus, "The Foe hammer" and what he stands for. He believes that somehow his human father would have preferred that he worshipped Tempus.
