I have played RPGs for over twenty years as both a DM and player. At this point, the story telling aspect interests me most. For me, a NWN mod is like a jazz score, just a beginning.
As a DM, I encourage imaginative play in the spirit of pen and paper D&D. Thinking outside the NWN engine is encouraged and players help shape the story.
My games focus on roleplaying in an immersive atmosphere. PCs matter as people and can do almost anything they can imagine in character, though logical consquences will follow. They are protagonists of a heroic fantasy rather than stat-builders. Players can expect a mix of unscripted NPC interaction, exploration, tactical combat, descriptive narration, and puzzles in my games. In line with the idea of PCs as people, I like to work PCs' stories and motives into my games when I can.
With regard to game style, I give XP for both roleplaying and combat. Players should be aware that in adventures of my own design that I do not freely hand out XP, items, or treasure. Special rewards must be earned through quests and roleplaying.
As a DM, I like improvisational, open-ended campaigns that take place in a dynamic world. To that end, I'm currently running my own original campaign with Gonesailing, Castellar Chronicles, co-DMing Sands of Time and hosting occasional one shots. I also belong to the Chimera Gaming DM group with Gonesailing, Whistler and Tagnar.
Team DMing is my favorite kind, especially with voice chat, though I also enjoy solo DMing.
Like-minded fellow DMs and players can reach me via message at the Neverwinter Connections home page. Weekends US Eastern Standard Time (GMT-5) are best for me.
Ideally, I prefer games with 4-6 players and 2-3 DMs coordinating with voice chat.
As a NWN player, I am a roleplayer and tale chaser above all. I always play female good-aligned PCs, though I enjoy all classes. I'm open to any style of NWN, but roleplaying is my favourite aspect.
Lastly, I'd like to say a few words of thanks. To my co-DMs, present & past, Gonesailing, Whistler, Thaelson, Felrazor, Bigbluepaw, Falseprophet, Rofelli, Dcook22, Cythwydd, Tatijana, and Elchwang, thank you. You're great DMs and it's a privilege to play with you. I learn every time we DM.
