Merro Branicebottle
Merro Branicebottle spent his childhood days in Ahm on the Sword Coast. His father Blink, taught him what he knows of life on the streets taking what the tall folk leave behind, and some things they didn't. One night, Blink didn't come home from a heist, and word on the street was that the old man had been caught red handed, and died trying to escape the guards (by leaping out of a 5th story window.) With his loss as it was, there was nothing for Merro in Ahm but painful memories. He packed what little he had and took work with the Iron Fist mercantile as counterintelligence. Merro was assigned to a caravan to travel to some place called Zhentil Keep to negotiate some kind of deal, but the destination was never achieved, a contingent of Purple Dragons were about and the bastards confiscated the merchandise and arrested the caravaneers, minus Merro of course, who fled to Daggerdale for a time and grew bored.
Merro was becoming known around his new town and had a small disagreement with the local Thieves Guild, so he decided to move on to another place, and Shadowdale happened to be the lucky place.
