Zeras has standards but no real grasp of ethics. He is quite aware that he lacks any appreciable moral compass of his own, and consequently derives his notions of acceptable behavior largely from his companions. More than that, he relies upon them to help him sate his curiosity and transcend the limits of his sheltered upbringing, and he is fascinated by the idea of a group of people working together, of their own free will, towards a common goal. He admires strength of character and virtue in others, though he still finds the latter puzzling, slightly disconcerting, and mostly incomprehensible.

Zeras is tall, unusually slender even by elven standards, and pale ("pallid" might arguably be a more appropriate word). His voice is soft, unexpectedly low, and usually unemotional. His general demeanor is languid, and under normal circumstances he watches the world through half-closed eyes. He presents a cool, aloof, and occasionally arrogant face to the world, but a careful observer may suspect that this is at least partially a facade to cover a lack of self-confidence--he is, after all, still quite young.
