Krusk was born into the world 20 years ago amidst tension and strife between human settlers and an established Orc tribe. His mother was ostracized to the point of abandonding her culture and joining the Smoking Plains tribe of Orcs. His father was a favored sub-chieftan amongst the tribal members. He took in the human woman and his child and guarded them from the more harsh abuses others of his tribe would have dealt them. Growing up in the chaotic society of the orcs with only his mother to guide him morally has caused Krusk to be considered odd amongst other orcs. He learned that there is more to life than what his tribe could offer and at the time of his mothers death he left the tribe seeking to learn more of the world at large. He carries himself as a proud warrior, bearing his scars of previous battles proudly. His normal savagery is held in check by the compassion and gentleness his mother attempted to instill in him during her life. He sees life as a journey of discovery and wonder, learning new things as time goes on. He tries to be accepting of new things and deals with others as they would deal with him.
