Kimli being a strong dwarf worked as a miner during his early years, however when he was offered a post in the clan guard he eagerly took it. He fought in the sucessful defense of his clan's homeland against a rampaging horde of orcs a few years later. It was during this skirmish that he realised he was a natural born fighter who craved the good fight against the forces of evil. With great sadness he left his clan's lands in search of adventure and the rumored fine ale's of the tall folk.
