Colwyn has long, ash blonde hair and blue eyes, and a somewhat pale complexion. He moves with an elegant grace, and his actions are characterised by somewhat over exaggerated flair.
A young man in his early to mid twenties, he speaks with a cultured voice of medium tone, which contains traces of many different accents. His every word is articulated perfectly, and is spoken with conviction. When speaking, the words are more than reminiscent of a delivery from a man who is performing on stage, and coupled with his ready smile and infectious laugh this gives him considerable presence.
Although not entirely lacking in common sense, Colwyn often becomes a slave to his curiosity - which far too frequently gets the better of him. With typical thespian dramatics, Colwyn excuses this as professional interest as a lover of poem and song - but his friends attribute it as his being a trifle too inquisitive for his own good. For whatever reason it may be, the young bard seems to be attracted to trouble like a moth to a flame.
Whilst not in as good a shape as most competent sellswords, Colwyn is nonetheless in excellent physical condition - and has both a well-defined physique and above average endurance. While he gives the impression that he is no stranger to the use of weapons, this physical fitness is likely due to vigorous dancing rather than combat training. His combat style tends towards grand, over exaggerated strokes. These would doubtless be fairly powerful should they connect, but his accuracy often seems to suffer somewhat as a result.
Colwyn's clothes as ostentatious and well made, and he has all manner of pouches and cases hanging from his belt. The contents of these are not readily apparent, although most look like storage for scrolls, maps and parchment.
