The year of his 13th birthday his parents died of the "Cold Bone Palgue" that swept through his village. Being to young to run the farm on his own the village elders gave him into the care of the Priests of Thebius. The priests found his moral fiber strong and hoped he word venture into the world as a blessed man someday.

As the tradition of the sect, he was to be put loose into the world on his 18th birthday. 2 weeks prior to this day Moraca (the head priest) came to him at breakfast. "I have come to tell you the story of your father. He was always loyal to Thebius, and in his younger years he traveled the world as a 'Soldier of the White'. He lost his arm on his journeys and returned to live out his days in peace. Before he died he asked me to be sure you knew his story. Your father wants you to follow in his footsteps. Sean was then trained in only the basics of survival. One his 18th birthday with the blessings of the priests he began his travels.
