Pard Nefren is the son of a mundane Beregost street merchant. As a boy, he never had a lot but never lacked the basic necessities. As a youth, he was berated by many of the teenage ruffians of Beregost. From these humble foundations, Pard Nefren decided he was destined for more than the ordinary in life. He was born with a sharp mind and quick wit. This helped him survive the shadier aspects of Beregost and gain a highly sought after apprenticeship under the Mysterious Thalatyr, a mage of great power.
Pard Nefren's search for the mystical arts has been both mentally and physically grueling. Even though he is young for an accomplished mage, 24, he has gray hair, a worn and creased face and badly calloused hands. His gray blue eyes are typically misty and glazed over.
Pard Nefren has developed a strong skill in the art of magery at the cost of his mental stability. He has become quite neurotic and high-strung. He comes across as having too much caffeine and too little sleep. He tends to be a little jumpy and overexcited.
However, Pard Nefren is an accomplish mage. He should not be underestimated. When the situation requires it, his mind is sharp and his spells are deft. Under crises, Pard's stance is posed, his face becomes intent, his eyes turn a clear and vivid blue and his hands move through the incantations fluidly.
Although, his methods seem less than sound his intentions are good and his skill will rise to any occasion.
