Allyus was left orphaned at a young age. During an orc raid on his village when he was only eight, he was sent by his father into the woods to seek safety. Hiding within the confines of the woods, all he could sense were the panic-stricken cries of his kinsman as they were slaughtered. When things died down, he returned to the hamlet, only to find a chaotic mess of charred dwellings and bodies of the people he once knew. He searched and searched, but was never able to find any sign of his parents.
Frightened, alone, and confused he fled back into the wilds and wandered aimlessly for days.
While traveling through a dense clearing one day, he came across a middle-aged dwarf bustling around a patch of berries. Allyus tried to stay hidden, wary of what the dwarf might do if he knew he was there. He hadn't eaten in days, and at the sight of the basket full of plump berrys the dwarf was carrying, his stomach betrayed him and let out a growl. Without even looking his way, the dwarf told the halfling boy to come out already if he was really that hungry.
Seeing the boys condition, the dwarven ranger, Brahm Murker took pity on him and took the young halfing under his wing.
Allyus spent the next ten years with Brahm, learning from him the ways of the wilds. His only playmates were forest creatures and he developed a knack for relating to them.
When he finally reached adult-hood, Brahm told Allyus it was time for him to set out on his own. Even though it was hard for him to leave his adoptive father behind, Allyus had always been independant and agreed it was time to move on with the promise that he would return to the clearing someday when he was older and wiser.
Allyus has a deep sense of respect for the natural order of things. He does not feel it's his job to interfere in other peoples business, but he's never afraid to defend what he feels is right either, and come to the aid of those who need it.
Filled with a strong sense of independance, he has a hard time accepting anything from people, but is willing to lend a hand when the moment calls for it.
Driven by a strong sense of curiosity, and a desire to see the world, he has set out on his own to see what each day will bring his way.
