Antinua Sionnodel
Antinua was born into a wealthy family of Merchants in Evermeet, though she remembers little if anything of the Elven island. What she does remember, however, is the many cities she traveled with her families caravan throughout Faerun. When not on the road, Antinua practically grew up among humans in cities such as Waterdeep, Neverwinter, and Baldurs Gate, and began developing many of their attributes: Aspiration, Courage, and Desire. However, she also began to realize humanities darker attributes. This realization came to full fruition during a trip to the port city Luskan. Known for it's ruthlessness and danger, the caravan prepared itself, but for little use: The entire Caravan, including Antinua's parents and brother, were betrayed and murdered by a pirate captain they were trading with. Although Antinua forgets how exactly she lived through the attack, she awoke in a hospital with with a headwound and, more importantly, a strong desire for revenge. The next years of Antinua's life were then devoted to the annihaliation of the pirate captain and everone associated with him. Traveling all throughout Luskan and the Pirate Isles for years, she brutally carried out her goal, naturally gaining incredible knowledge of swordsmanship and sailing along the way. Once her goal was accomplished, Antinua unfortunatley felt little peace, and continued to live a life of murder, illegal buisiness and all other dealings characteristic to the most deadly pirates. This went on for many years, and Antinua gained a degree of infamy, until she suddenly realized one night looking at the moon that she had become the very beast she fought against years before. Upon realizing this, she sought atonement, through a Goddess she often heard merchants pray to as she slaughtered them: Selune. After praying and becoming a devout follower Selune, she recieved what she thought to be a divine task: to take a boat and sail as Selune directs her, using the moon and stars as guides. Gaining her most trusted crew and leaving Luskan (her home for some time) she set out with only the stars to guide her. Strangely, after weeks of sailing, Antinua became totally lost. As she began to wonder whether this journey was in vain, or perhaps even penance or punishment by Selune for her previous deeds, Antinua suddenly felt a huge crash and heard her crew screaming. . . .and then blackness.
