Ashrym Jarystine was born to a fairly uncommon union of gold and moon-elf parents. Even more uncommon was the fact that Ashrym was born with a twin (by the name of Valdur) at the point of conception which was heralded by the elves as a blessed union of not only the parents but the gods themselves as Ashrym's father, Ledath Jarystine, a Moon-elf and faithful servant of Selune, wed a Gold-elf by the name of Ana'lias who followed the teachings of Corellon Larethian; the head of the Elven pantheon.
Both Ashrym and Valdur were born possessing the features of their mother which included obvious characteristics of an impressive Gold-Elf; blond hair, high and delicate cheek bones, as well as vivid blue eyes. Yet they both inherited their father's wanderlust and personality common among the Moon-Elves. In this respect Ashrym and Valdur both are hybrids among the Elven culture.
When the two twins were very young (in Elven age at least), Valdur, the twin better adept at using a bow, was honing his skills when a massive cloud of magical energy rendered the famed Evereskan Mythal inactive and laid to waist varying outposts to ruin. The night, which the Elves labled 'The Night of Wild Magic' caused considerable damage and when the rebuilding commenced, the Jarystine line could find no trace of Valdur who at the time, was practicing around the outposts. After speaking with the high mages, a search party was dispatched and it was concluded that the wild magic exhibited that night may have opened a portal that Valdur was inexplicably pulled into as they were able to find his practice bow and dagger lying on the floor with no footprints.
The loss of his brother hurt Ashrym deeply, and ever since that fateful night, Ashrym has journed to many parts of Faerun in search of his twin. Ashrym, at times has blamed himself for the incident, or at the very least, for not being with his brother on that very night.
Ashrym Jarystine, known as Ash to his companions, exhibits a personality much like his father. Never one to stay in one place for any length of time, Ashrym finds himself in constant motion. Others have said, that he acts as a human due in part to his considerable time in their presence and his somewhat odd attraction to the female form of both Elven and Human races. A lover of song and poetry, Ashrym speaks in riddles and verse much of the time, to the considerable ire of his companions yet is always understood as he possesses considerable wisdom for an Elf of his age.
Favoring the longsword, Ashrym has trained to become one of Evereska's most skilled fighters. His equally impressive knowledge of the bow and magical insight has led him to become a high ranking Bladesinger. Preferring to work alone, Ashrym is known to accept jobs that are considerably more dangerous as much of the fieldwork that Bladesingers usually do.
As of late, Ashrym has been under the service of two Elvish lords; Elvithrar Cys’varion & Viola Al’eyrith’a, where his missions of late has been to monitor the actions of the Church of Bane and the Zhentarim themselves. Personally requesting this role, Ashrym possesses a hatred for both organizations due to the deaths of some of his companions at the hand of clerics and soldiers of those two organizations. Also, he is on a personal crusade to reunite with his long lost twin, a task that he will never give up on...
