From the hidden forest of Arithna-lon, Ch'ah-na is an apprentice Shadow Sentinel, those who serve as protectors of the forest and the people. All the Sentinels follow the goddess Sehanine, Mistress of Moonshade, and adopt the honorific shortening of their names when they join her service. Ch'ah-na wears a distinctive wolf-head necklace, symbol of her allegiance to Moonbow. Her mother is 2nd leader of the Sentinels and Ch'ah-na knows she has much to learn before she can meet her mother’s expectations. As part of her training she must travel to distant lands to learn about other races and creatures, to learn their strengths and their weaknesses.
