Role: A pure melee fighter who focuses on strength and damage rather than finesse.
Appearance: Coming upon Tante from behind, you see only a miniature grandmother dressed in voluminous skirts, stout boots, an apron, and a crudely-knitted Scandinavian cap complete with earflaps and tassel. Then you notice the dirt, debris, and travel stains. You realize that her jewelry isn't made of pottery, but of what looks like rodent skulls, shriveled tails, and bits of moldy leather. The final shock comes when you glimpse her face: you have never seen this many wrinkles and warts in a whole city, let alone on one person.
Background:
When asked where she is from, Tante will say that she comes from the mountains where she lives with her three kind and handsome sons. If asked exactly -which- mountains, she will wave her hand around vaguely in many directions.
She will talk for hours about her sons: how handsome they are, how talented they are at cooking or hunting or blacksmithing, how this one or that one is looking for a wife, or the great things they each have done recently.
So...why has she left her beloved sons? She will tell you that her sons are on their seasonal extended hunting trip, gathering game for the harsh mountain winters. After the first few weeks, she got bored, and decided to travel to the more populated areas for some excitement. What excitement? Let's see...killing monsters, looting treasure, talking with strangers. Oh yes, and killing monsters and looting treasure.
If you travel with her long enough, you may realize that there is more to her past than she will admit. Maybe more than even she is aware of...

Behavior:
Tante is an outrageous character. She has a chaotic and slightly childish personality. She laughs loudly at her own jokes, which are at about the fifth grade level (though no potty humor). She loves other people who are silly, too, and often slaps them on the back a little too heartily. She runs happily into a rooms of monsters shouting "Kill!" and laughing maniacally.
When she meets someone who doesn't speak her language well, she is likelyt to shout louder to help them understand. She's awkwardly tried to "mother" weaker characters, but gets distracted and doesn't remember to take care of them all of the time.
Watch out when she starts talking about her sons (which is pretty much all the time). She'll probably subject you to her multi-part picture album!
Tante was partly inspired by Baba Yaga, the Russian witch, hence her weird and scary appearance, and crazy behavior.
