Sha'Thys Zauviir
As a Male from Menzobarranzan, he wes lucky enough to become a student at Socere, the great school of magic. But to what end he often wondered. If he grew powerful, he would please his house but threaten others in power within the mageocracy of the tower. HE would have to watch his back and be ruthlessly crewl in order to ensure his security. This was not the life he dreamed of. Gomphf Banree, the Archmagi and first son of the first and most powerful house in the city lived that life. While the power was intoxicating, it was as great a burden. Sha'Thys wanted power, but more so, he desired freedom, to be unique, and respected for that power instead of feared, though fear was aceptable. In his homeland, he could grow to become the Archmagi if he was cunning enough, but he would always be second to a priestess of Lolth. This was unexceptable, and with his mind set, he began to research his other options. When the opportunity came to go to the surface on an artifact raid, Sha'Thys jumped at the chance. He was well versed in the surface cultures, would be an asset in researching the power of the artifacts they found within the ancient fairy city of Myth Drannor. There would also be dangers, and with danger came opportunity. They were not in the cursed city 2 nights before the stumbled upon a pack of Banes, displaced from the abyss and roming the ruins in search of prey. The raiding party was found and a hideous battle commensed. Sha'Thys, at first began to come to the defense of the party, and then it donned on him. If they all die... he would not have to return. Casting defensive spells upon himself finishing with invisibility, he escaped the grizzly scene, and disappeared into the forest to start a new life upon the surface world.
