Given food and shelter by her mother and her family but very little else Garbag reached adolescence with very litle knowledge of love or happiness.
She fled from what passed for home to the wilderness and by luck and sheer determination managed to learn to survive for herself by foraging and killing before hunger and fatigue proved too much.
There she lived a live of solitude happy in her loneliness.
One day she came across a gnome by the side of the road, so badly beaten that he was close to death. She took him to her humble home and nursed him till he was better, which considering her healing skill was small was quite some time.
Being the first creature of any intelligence that had ever showed any kindness to her, Garbag grew very attached to Dru and when he was better was reluctant to let him go.
When she finally gathered the strength to admit her feeling she was relieved and surprised to discover he returned them.
They have been inseperable since, though they have encountered much ridicule and hostility on their travels and have learnt to disguise the true nature of their relationship for the sake of an easy life.
