Denyer Freeman
This imposing but quiet man is a former native and soldier of Amoz, freed from his collar by a quirk of fate. He rarely speaks of his former home, if at all, but what is clear is that while looking for his own path in life, he found the Soladonic faith; a cause he has decided he can believe in, even if he lacks the energy and devotion of many of his fellows.
Having no name other than Denyer when he left Amoz, he took one for himself; 'Freeman'. Though he obeys, he guards, he serves and he speaks when spoken to, he does so with the quiet dignity who does so because he wants to, not because he is forced to.
Tall, physically imposing, with a shaven head, a brutish face and a white mark across his neck; the burn his collar left when it came free.
