Jane Swift formerly Donna Penina Shuster was married to Samuel Coleman for less than an hour and heading to the reception when he was gunned down. Her only living family, Mark Shuster, Rebecca Shuster and their daughter, Samantha live in the Witness Relocation Program and managed now through X-COM.

The origin of her nickname of "Dead-Eye Jane" as she is known to some is that she has an eerie habit of staring at people. It comes from sizing them up for the one day she may need to put a bullet between their eyes, which she is a bit too good at.

On the surface, she was a socialite who raised funds for victims of alledged alien abductions and other family traumas. She used that as a cover for her CIA assignments as a sniper to travel to all parts of the world. She's recently gone into seclusion for a new assignment: X-COM.

X-COM has turned her into a part-time soldier, part-time techie. Her work on a series of tank and body armor units for X-COM has earned her the nickname "Toni Stark" and Vasily was nicknamed "Iron Man" being the first to wear the Experimental Heavy Armor unit.
