Perils and Plunder in Moralor session [12:00 AM 05/22/04 GMT]
This is a module for having fun of the monsters were hand designed and not the default ones that come with the toolset It currently supports parties up to th level or so and has areas with a mixture of various quests The story behind the campaign is that you possessing qualities either heroic or villanous have been snatched from whatever place you create for your background by one of the gods of the world of Moralor to help them win in a war of the outer planes The gods warring are Aurion the god of light Zioath Aurion s father the god of justice Wotan the god of darkness evil and the underworld Lady Fortune the goddess of luck and adventure the Juggler god of Chaos and thieves Leviathan the primal god of the sea Baal the god of fertility strength and the sun and Brigit the bright lady patron of beauty and love There are other gods of Moralor as well who do not take part in the struggle one of the most notable being Eledain the elven god of nature The dwarven pantheon is also neutral Moralor s dwarves worship the same gods as Faerunian dwarves When you are summoned to Moralor you will be given enough experience to raise you to rd level and the divine agent there will give you a bonus fifteen hundred gold with which to purchase gear Why Ask her It used to be nd and gp but the current players leveled last session I will be DMing and will have a stockpile of various creatures and NPC s to add to the stuff already in game I will primarily be there to guide but not lead by the nose or DM heal those who go running into areas too tough for them You should come willing to explore and role play If you desire to play an evil character do so with good form Do not use evilness as an excuse for abuse or I will boot you In addition PvP is only allowed if there is a good RP reason for it not just I m evil and he s good or vice versa I am continually expanding this world and plan to make this a campaign There is certainly enough material in it presently to last hours We may go over hours if everyone agrees but will be the max If you wish to know more about the setting send me a message or post on the game message board Though I have made it so you can literally be from anywhere I would be happy to have players from Moralor itself The setting is one I created many years ago for a PnP game of my own invention and is fully fleshed out The module uses all three expansions and CEP Note that the time of the game might be subject to change depending on the schedules of interested players The two players from last session will be consulted to see when a good time for them is and if this friday is not good then the game will be rescheduled I hope to hear from you soon Setting Summary The campaign begins in the Vallaurian Empire which was formed about three hundred years ago when the hero Aurion said to be born of the seed of Zioath slew the lich king Wotan and liberated the land from his curse Since then both Wotan and Aurion have ascended into godhood During that time Aurion s church has developed into an empire with Aurion s descendents becoming the inheritors of the throne in the capitol of Lannis Most humans of Vallauria follow the church of Aurion though followers of Fortune Brigit and Eledain are not uncommon Worshippers of Wotan and to a lesser extent the Juggler an ancient god of chaos and thieves are somewhat persecuted and some might argue rightly so Across the western Yfel Sea are the Wild Lands dominated by the city state of Malachi run by wizard priests of great power and mysterious natures The old religions of Leviathan and Baal are dominant there and the city is a corrupt confusing sprawl To the north of Vallauria is the island of the elves Aedalia and the Vikslan peninsula where the world s most dangerous assassins are trained by the Vikslan king To the east lies Brenland a poor agrarian kingdom beset with orcs and other humanoids Far to the southeast is Drachenia a land ruled by Lord Vlakaal and plagued with vampires and werewolves Rumors persist Lord Vlakaal himself trafficks with demons and the like which would explain the cursed state of the land Finally the southern area of the continent is run by the merchant princes of Aguanina who are in constant conflict with the pirates of the Medulian Sea There are other lands on other continents and people do come from them to Vallauria on rare occasions as Vallauria is a coastal kingdom Still these lands are little known as travel in Moralor is dangerous especially lately with the sudden influx of evil humanoid tribes It is into this world you are thrust
