Pharaoh, Session II [03:00 AM 02/18/07 GMT]
After being stranded in a strange desert south of Calimshan, the small party was ordered to hunt and destroy a group of desert raiders. They walked for days in the desert, dealing with sudden downpours of acid rain and strange creatures coming out of the sand before they saw a line of cliffs to the west. Brother John assumed that the cliffs might be where the raiders kept their camp, so they headed west. While resting in their tent, an old woman calling herself Miriam apeared, telling the group to be wary of the Dervishes, and that they would find their destiny west of the crossroads.
The group managed to defeat the raiders at great cost, then decided to follow Miriam’s advice and look for the nomad east of the crossroads. They found him, and fell into a sunken city where they faced huge spiders, spectres, zombies, and a mummy. A cryptic enscription on a statue may hold the clue to the strange ramblings of Miriam and the nomad, but who knows?
Who is the one who must be released and the one who must not be released? What (if anything) does the strange inscription mean? Will the desert truly have the hidden treasure that the party looks for? And what of the bounty they are hunting? Is he hidden somewhere in this desolate desert as well?
