Zombie Survival In Wolfburg OR How I Stopped To Worry And Loved The Undead [12:15 AM 03/18/07 GMT]
The island of Brank was calm settlement of Azadam Empire 10 years ago. Everything ended on the 12 of December, when the ground suddenly opened. And from the ground, ennormous tomb emerged...The Brank was to never look same. Soon from tombs emerged Liches - the wicked remains of sorcerors, dreaming only about having power about all living, or rather - all un-living. The bloody war started. With various luck, it has finished 5 years ago, when the last enclave of Liches was slaughtered at the Battle of Broodling. It has left the inhabitants of Brank much weakened, and soon it has shown off that even without Liches, the dead still emerge to life. And so, after terrible losses occured at the war, and the undead’s control over harbour, the Brankers were cut off from the world. Soon the Azadam decided the island is not worth of their attention, and for further years it has been pointed on the map as the "Land of the Dead".
But, for the citizens of Brank, the fight has only begun...
It’s been 5 years since the tragical events. Now, over 70% of the island is in the control of the undead. Despite lack of leadership, mindless zombies still lure around, hutning for any humans brave enough to walk away from the closed enclaves, which are the only way to survive now. Also, still there are few of the undeads who are capable of thinking - and they’re plotting. Plotting over the final extinction of the Living and the triumph of the Dead...
Wolfburg is one of those cities-enclaves. A city on the first look which shows no sign of zombie terror...yet, as you cast the look on the doubled watchman, and the always maned siege defensive engines, you understand easily the way the people must live here. But, the living still goes in Wolfburg. The walls are quite tought, and the enemy barely goes through the first rank of them.
Now, the council of Wolfburg gets worried. They’ve not heard from their close merchant relative, Arurschaft for a month. Fearing the worst, the council decided to send the small party through the Land of the Dead to it, to check if it still exists...
